About: **PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING PET/HOUSE SITTING** I want to clarify that I do not typically provide traditional overnight house sitting. Instead, I specialize in drop-in care and can provide multiple visits throughout the day to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. For example, I may visit in the morning, again during the day, and then for a longer evening visit. This works especially well for pets who don't need someone staying overnight but still benefit from consistent attention, exercise, companionship, and care throughout the day. If you're looking for overnight house sitting, I may be open to discussing shorter stays (3 days or less) after a meet & greet, depending on the situation. If you're unsure which option is best for your pets, feel free to reach out! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of animals. My experience includes dogs and cats, as well as small pets such as rabbits and other small mammals, reptiles, and horses. I also have hands-on equine experience, including equine bodywork, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm, observant, and responsive with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I follow routines closely—feeding schedules, medications, walks, litter care, habitat care, and all the little details that matter—and I adapt my approach to each animal's personality and needs. Whether your pet is social and energetic, shy and routine-driven, or simply prefers to do their own thing, I meet them where they are. You can expect clear communication and consistent updates while you're away, so you always know your pets are safe and well cared for. I am currently looking to fill in some gaps in my schedule and should be able to accommodate most pet owners and their pet care needs. I follow care instructions closely and treat both your pet and your home with respect and care. Safety, routine, and clear communication are always my priority. If anything comes up or you have questions, I’m easy to reach and will keep you updated while you’re away.
“Heather did a great job walking my dog Daniella. in the rain my dog doesn’t like to go for a walk so Heather took extra time to help get her in the mood for a walk. She did s great job!”

“Rena helped me out last minute when I needed a walker after a family emergency. She was quickly responsive and able to pick up the shift and I couldn’t have been more grateful!”

“We interviewed a few walkers on Rover, and Taylor was the one who stood out above the rest. She was much more clear and descriptive about her approach, her style of managing dogs, and her specific techniques. She is very organized, highly responsive, and I highly recommend her for your pets!”

About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.
“Wendy has been walking my puppy, Missy, three days a week for 30 minutes each time, and she’s been wonderful. Missy always comes back happy and relaxed after their walks. Missy is a diva and sometimes resists going out, but Wendy is always patient, kind, and understanding with her. I especially love the feedback and pictures Wendy shares after each walk—they give me a lot of comfort and peace knowing how Missy is doing. I’ve really appreciated the care and consistency she brings to every visit, and I hope to see her back in the spring.”

“Had the opportunity to have Jaime watch my dog overnight after using Jaime as a walker. I can tell you we couldn't be more pleased after having Ernie spend 3 nights at Jaime's house.”

“Audrey was so wonderful with our dog, Jax! She was always on time for his walks, and sent lots of pictures and updates so that we could see how he was doing. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: Hello! I’m Ashley, I’m a Licensed Veterinary Nurse in emergency medicine with over 10 years of experience caring for animals. I care for both dogs and cats. If you have exotics, I can care for them as well. I have experience working with animals of all ages, with a strong passion for senior care and supporting animals with special needs. Overnight Stays: Unless requested to stay full time in your home for house sitting, I do go home during the day to check on my animals, run errands, etc. My overnight hours are 5/6pm-8/9am unless otherwise discussed :) I work 3 nights a week at the ER, so my schedule is pretty flexible. If you are comfortable with your kiddos being home at night to sleep during times I work, that is an option. For smaller pets I can always make it so they can hangout with me at work. I offer pet sitting over nights, drop ins, and walks. I cannot currently board at my home since I have my own pets, but will do whatever I can to make sure your family pets are safe and happy while in my care!
“Fred has been an absolute blessing to our family. Moochy like him immediately and trusted him. She’s usually pretty skittish. Fred was always on time, willing to be flexible if needed, and was just really good with Moochy. I needed someone who was strong to walk mooch because she’s big and strong. Fred had no trouble with it. I had absolute faith in Fred’s ability to handle her. And when Mooch saw his car pull up, she was so happy. I have no trouble recommending Fred to be your dog walker.”

“Sophia did an exceptional job walking Huckleberry! He was so excited to see her and had a great time. Sophia handled this wild 7 month old golden with no trouble at all. I’ll definitely hire her again.”

“Deepthi was absolutely wonderful with my fur baby. She sent me frequent updates and pictures. My dog warmed to her very quickly. I would use Deepthi again as well as recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She was truly great.”

“Jazalyn walks our 3 dogs on a weekly basis. We have a very old dog with some mobility issues that needs medication and a puppy so it is complicated, a lot of work and we really have to feel confident and be able to trust someone. Jazalyn does a wonderful job and we feel very lucky to have found her.”

“Zoe has been so great and reliable. I have a 4 month old puppy & was worried about how anyone new would handle her energy level but Zoe took on the challenge and was so wonderful. Would definitely recommend her for any dog of any age.”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Sutton. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Sutton.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sutton. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
