About: **PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING PET/HOUSE SITTING** I want to clarify that I do not typically provide traditional overnight house sitting. Instead, I specialize in drop-in care and can provide multiple visits throughout the day to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. For example, I may visit in the morning, again during the day, and then for a longer evening visit. This works especially well for pets who don't need someone staying overnight but still benefit from consistent attention, exercise, companionship, and care throughout the day. If you're looking for overnight house sitting, I may be open to discussing shorter stays (3 days or less) after a meet & greet, depending on the situation. If you're unsure which option is best for your pets, feel free to reach out! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and genuinely enjoy caring for all kinds of animals. My experience includes dogs and cats, as well as small pets such as rabbits and other small mammals, reptiles, and horses. I also have hands-on equine experience, including equine bodywork, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm, observant, and responsive with animals of all sizes and temperaments. I follow routines closely—feeding schedules, medications, walks, litter care, habitat care, and all the little details that matter—and I adapt my approach to each animal's personality and needs. Whether your pet is social and energetic, shy and routine-driven, or simply prefers to do their own thing, I meet them where they are. You can expect clear communication and consistent updates while you're away, so you always know your pets are safe and well cared for. I am currently looking to fill in some gaps in my schedule and should be able to accommodate most pet owners and their pet care needs. I follow care instructions closely and treat both your pet and your home with respect and care. Safety, routine, and clear communication are always my priority. If anything comes up or you have questions, I’m easy to reach and will keep you updated while you’re away.
“We interviewed a few walkers on Rover, and Taylor was the one who stood out above the rest. She was much more clear and descriptive about her approach, her style of managing dogs, and her specific techniques. She is very organized, highly responsive, and I highly recommend her for your pets!”

About: As a dog owner, playing with your dog every day might not be easy. But, there is another way to make them happy. I and my dog Grady welcome your furry friend and play with and guard them while you are not around. I’m mostly open during the daytime. I offer periodically a daycare and a boarding. I take a walk with your dog to get to know each other. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions or concerns! I have a fenced yard and a dog (WPG). He welcomes furry friends and spending time with yours. Our kids love to see and play with yours also.
“Christine was great! I met her ahead of time and instantly liked her. My dog did too. Everything ran smoothly and I loved getting the photos she sent. I’ll surely use her again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs ranging from a few lbs to 100+ lbs for years! I have also been caring for different types of cats just as long :) Growing up we always had a dog in the house, so that has made me super comfortable to be around them. Whether I’m walking, feeding, cleaning, or administering medication, I am definitely not afraid of the job! I am a proud mama of 2 cats named Archie and Simon. They are my absolute world! I will make sure to give your pets the same care, caution, attention, and love I give my boys! Pet care has always been a passion of mine. In fact, I went to school for it! Although I did not end up pursuing my desire to become a veterinarian, I still try to incorporate that love for animals in my day to day life! I have an extremely flexible work schedule that allows me to almost work fully remote. I would be able to stop over at the house pretty much whenever you need me to. My work set up also allows me to work anywhere if needed. My weekends are almost always open as well! I will always make sure to talk through your expectations to ensure you are comfortable with the nature of each type of visit. I typically would not host any pets in our home. We have a fenced in backyard and several spaces; however, I would not want to put your pet or my cats in an uncomfortable space. At a clients home, I am more than comfortable with backyard access, crate training, cleaning litter boxes, accessing food/water, and any other requirements for the visit! (Totally fine bringing in mail/watering plants!) I will only access the spaces you need me to. I am also fine spending the night if needed. That would be something we could discuss case by case!
“Thank you for walking amber again. She is always so excited to walk with someone other than me and she loves it when you take her to the park. Hope you continue to enjoy Amber”

“Olivia has been wonderful with Bear and Bella! She’s only walked them a couple of times so far, but I’m already very happy with her. She’s reliable, caring, and does a great job with both of them. I feel very comfortable having them in her care and would definitely recommend her! 🐾❤️”

About: As a dedicated pet sitter with years of hands-on experience, I offer a unique combination of reliability, compassion, and personalized care. I've been the proud owner of a Shih Tzu Bichon since 2018 and have cared for two cats since 2015, so I understand the unique needs of both dogs and cats. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and genuine love for animals. I take the time to understand each pet's personality and preferences, ensuring a stress-free experience while you're away. Your pets' well-being is my priority, and I strive to provide the highest level of care, whether it's cuddling during quiet moments, engaging in playtime, or taking them for walks. With me, your pets are in trusted, loving hands. I have mostly online classes this semester and I only have to be in person for about an hour on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30, so the rest of my days can consist of all type of pet loving Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are my top priorities when caring for your pets. In your home, I respect your pet's territory and routines, and I follow any specific instructions you provide to ensure they remain comfortable and secure. I’ll make sure to lock all doors and windows, monitor your pet closely during walks or playtime, and take extra care when administering medications or handling special needs. Communication is key, and I’ll send updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe and happy in my care. Above all, I build trust with both pets and owners, ensuring peace of mind while you're away.
“Amanda is great! She is helping us with Blanche’s reactivity to other dogs and squirrels on walks. We have already seen improvement with Blanche when we walk her. Amanda is calm and kind with Blanche, we could not be happier! Thank you Amanda!”
About: Ive always grew up with dogs and cats. When they're around me they must get spoiled I cannot resist! I have a separate room that any animal is more than welcome to stay in incase they prefer being alone vs getting along with other animals. Dogs i can take anytime and Cats are more then welcome to stay for days as there is a separate room if needed, a spare litter box and plenty of extra cat food bowls! If given the opportunity to take care of your baby, I would treat it as my own! Spoil it and be sure to make sure it has everything it needs and make it feel at home even when it is not at its usual home!
About: I’m a dedicated and loving pet caregiver with hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and needs—including my own big reactive German Shepherd, who is truly the star of my life. Through daily care, training, and attention, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behavior, structure, and what makes pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I recently moved to the area, so I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. This allows me to give pets the attention, consistency, and care they need. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, habits, and needs so they feel secure and cared for—whether in my home or yours, or a walk.

About: I have been around pets my whole life and know how to read their body language. I am respectful if they need space and let them warm up to me. My family had large dogs and cats growing up that I helped care for and train. I helped care for 3 litters of puppies and I trained the puppies we kept. I also had a cat who was spoiled with love and lots of playtime. I work at a school and don't work during the summer, so I am very flexible. During the school year my availability will be afternoons/evenings on weekdays. I love cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I will love your pet like my own! I truly enjoy taking care of cats and dogs and giving them lots of play and affection. I always respect their space if they are afraid, but I am skilled at earning their trust and helping them warm up to me.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
