About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.

About: Dog sitting is new to me, but my love for dogs is not. After recently losing my own dog, I felt called to give back the same unconditional love he gave me. I provide calm, loving, and reliable care, creating a safe and comforting environment for every pup. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Although I work full time, I’m able to step away throughout the day for check-ins, cuddles, potty breaks, and quality time. Mornings, evenings, and breaks are fully dedicated to making sure each dog feels comfortable, loved, and cared for. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and loved. I follow feeding and care instructions closely, provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles, and make sure they feel secure in their environment. My goal is always for pets to feel at ease and cared for, just like family.

She came over every day to walk her while I was away and my family was working. She even checked to make sure my dog was given her medicine and gave it to her if needed. I got messages/updates and pictures every day which really put me at ease. Not only did she take excellent care of my baby, but she also checked in on me to see how my trip was, which was really nice of her. Learning to handle and bathe dogs from the smallest Toy Poodle all the way to the largest Great Dane from volunteering. Speaking of Danes; I share my home with two rescue Great Danes and a Sun Conure. I specialize in dogs and am a former volunteer at Anderson Animal Shelter and Anderson's Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I can sit for your pets almost any day! I'm free most of the time, other than when I'm out meeting other pets. I provide a large yard for my dogs, a seperate room for my bird, frequent vet checkups, healthy diets, all day access to water and outdoors, moderated chewys and toys, and a personal dog cage for sleeping in at night. About: I only had family cats growing up, but when my 12-year-old daughter had a big loss in her life, I gave her a Yorkie puppy. Of course, I knew nothing but how to love that puppy, so I had to learn quickly. Yes, I learned about crating...and also not crating. I've learned that dog training is mostly about "training" the owner. And I've learned how you can be firm and serious...but not mean. Like...being a parent. I've watched enough dogs that when they stay or visit, my home's been named deemed a doggie camp. I've had senior dogs on medication or needing more sedate care, and crazy puppies who get the right things to chew. And for walks, we have a great neighborhood with sidewalks. While this is all "puppy" news, yes, I definitely know how to care for cats too. I believe cats need play and music or active noise usually as well - except at bed time. No animal wants to feel alone...and they never do with me. I usually work from home and manage my schedule, so periodic check-ins during the work days isn't difficult. I don't often travel, so evenings, weekends and home care is relatively simple within my schedule. Pets in my client's homes get a regular schedule for meals, wake time, and bed time. They get a balance of play time, brushing,...and snuggles. For dogs, they get walks and play - inside and out. When an owner is not around, animals are a little sadder, so I work to help minimize that sadness...and given them comfort and company.

I live in a gated condo building where it's safe and comfortable for your pets. The Alexandria area is an excellent dog-walking city to ensure your pet has adequate amounts of exercise and bathroom breaks. *NOTE* I do have two cats within my household; I prefer to have pets that are comfortable with other pets in the house.
