“Heather was wonderful and made my first experience with Rover an absolute breeze. She communicated well, was extremely kind and took great care of my boy Hank. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Fred has been an absolute blessing to our family. Moochy like him immediately and trusted him. She’s usually pretty skittish. Fred was always on time, willing to be flexible if needed, and was just really good with Moochy. I needed someone who was strong to walk mooch because she’s big and strong. Fred had no trouble with it. I had absolute faith in Fred’s ability to handle her. And when Mooch saw his car pull up, she was so happy. I have no trouble recommending Fred to be your dog walker.”

I have a good sense of how dogs act when anxious nervous or even excited. My job included staying over night with dogs along with walking them and feeding them. I do work at restaurants in the afternoons during the week and weekends till 8. I have three days off a week in which I can daycare dogs and watch over them. Normally Tuesday and Wednesday. Walking is no big deal my availability is always open for walking I provide attentive, personalized care for pets both in my home and in clients’ homes. I make sure each pet stays on their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions. In a client’s home, I also focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment while maintaining a clean and respectful space. In my home, I create a safe, calm environment where pets get plenty of supervision, attention, and exercise. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and stress-free while their owners are away.

About: I have had a long love for animals, growing up with cats and dogs. As an adult we had a beloved German Shepherd mix that was our ring bearer. And we were blessed to have him for 11 years. Now I'm a proud dog mom to 1 terrier mix. I've taken care of dogs, cats and other animals since I was in Middle School for neighbors and friends. I love going on walks and playing fetch. I work part-time at a school so right now I'm off during the summer but during the school year I would be able to work around my schedule and have several days off during the school week to pop in before and after or on my days off. I would love to pop into your house for visiting. I will follow your dogs normal routine. Please let me know how to help your animal feels most comfortable.
About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs for my family and friends since I was a kid. We take dog boarding seriously and safety is our number one priority.(As I was a former marine.) I am excited and looking forward to getting to know you and your pups! I will make your experience with me as easy as possible! Also my dog will entertain your pup if tempted but he’s smart enough to know to mind his business. I am home and available all throughout the day. If you have any specific schedule to follow please let me know. Otherwise I will provide an enjoyable service your dog deserves! I am thoughtful and considerate of all dogs that I see every day. Every pet has their own personality and I always read behaviors as I want them to feel comfortable. Your pet will never be crated unless you request it.
About: Hi Dog lovers! My name is Abigail and dogs have been a part of my life since I can remember. Growing up I was responsible for walking, feeding and pouring attention into our two German shorthaired pointer dogs. When my neighbors would go on vacation they would ask me to watch their four dogs and I also became the 'go to' person when their dogs would get loose in the neighborhood. Fortunately, that never happened on my watch! My current dog is a high energy Pitbull Lab mix, who thinks he is a lap dog. :) Most of the dogs I have worked with have been in the 50-60 pound range but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Is your dog older? No problem, I can sit and give them lots of love or take them on a gentle walk. Is your dog high energy? Again, no problem, I have one of those of my own and I can play fetch or tug-a-war with them! I have no problem administering medicine if needed too. During the school year I work in a high school and coach swimming so my availability is from 3:30pm - 6:00pm, and anytime on the weekends. During the summer my schedule is much more flexible during the week and weekends. I consider myself a dog magnet because any time I encounter a dog, even for the first time, they like to jump on me or wiggle their butts, seeking my attention! Providing walks, belly rubs, and playing fetch are my jam. Dogs mean the world to me and I would love the opportunity to shower your fur babies with attention. During the school year, I am available 3:30pm - 6:00pm and weekends. During the summer (June & July) I have flexibility in my schedule every day. I am comfortable taking dogs to the park, walking them or playing with them indoor home/yard. If it is a high energy dog, I can also take them for a run.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was a kid. From our family dog Charlie to 3 German Shepherd’s for a neighbor, your furry friends are in good hands with me! I am currently working part time and have plenty of time in my day to help care for my own cat. Any spare time I do have, I can help care for your pet too! My work schedule stays pretty consistent so scheduling should not be too much of a hassle. I currently live in a one bedroom apartment with quick access to yards and sidewalks for dog walking. I will provide opportunities for walks, playing with your pets, and going outside depending on whatever type of pet I am looking after.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
