About: I grew up taking care of my 2 collies and helping out with family members pets. I am experienced with managing large breeds and high energy dogs. I am currently on summer break from university, so I have a lot more free time. I am available on weekdays after 11 and weekends I have full availability. Once I return to school in late August, my schedule will change slightly. I’ll be available on weekdays after 1:30 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If I happen to get out of class early, I may also be available before 1:30 on some days. Safety is my top priority. I treat every pet as my own, maintaining a calm, clean, and safe environment. Ahead of time, I ask about any triggers your pet may have and make sure we walk in comfortable environments.
“Jessica and Luis are ah-mazing!! I reached it to them on short notice and they were still willing to meet with me and car for my 2 cats while I visited some friends for the weekend. It was my first time using a pet sitter so I was a little nervous but they made me feel at ease leaving Smokey and Pippa for a few days. They sent pictures and texted updates after each visit. Highly recommend them and will not hesitate to book with them again!”

“Rachael was great! She handled our indecisiveness very well. I loved the pictures every time she came out to take care of the cats. She is a very kind human. We would absolutely use Rachael again! Highly recommended.”

“Jessica did an amazing job being a first time sitter for my 2 cats one of which is very shy. She sent photos and updates each day after drop in visits which made me feel so at ease while on vacation. She went above and beyond caring for my house, bringing in the mail and watering 2 flower pots. I will absolutely hire Jessica again! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! She treated my pets as her own.”

“Cynthia always takes the best care of our cats. This time we had a cat that was separated due to a surgery and Cynthia gave her just as much attention as the other 4 cats. Our girls love playing with Cynthia and the toys she brings. We never worry about our girls because we know Cynthia will care for them like her own. Thank you again Cynthia!”

“We could not be happier with the care and attention that Katy gave to our kitty while we were away. She provided daily photos, detailed updates and just went above and beyond our expectations in every aspect. Not only does Katy have a kind and caring heart- she developed a quick bond with our grumpy little princess and understood her kitty-quirks right away. Highly recommend- Katy is a star!”

“Valerie does a great job once again! She communicates well and is very conscientious. And my cat really likes her! I have such a peace of mind when we travel, knowing she is taking good care of Punkin.”

About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. I also worked with different rescue groups overseas. I currently have 3 dogs I rescued from Peru South America. Their stories are pretty crazy but now they are living the dog dream. So I am very excited to work with animals! I am a stay at home mom looking to help owners with their pets. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. If it is okay with the owner also carry training treats with me for walks.
About: About us: I stumbled onto Rover in August 2022 after trying to think of ways to make a little extra money while working at home, full-time, and with 3 kids (approaching middle and high school) that have wanted a dog since probably before they were born. I grew up with dogs and wanted a dog too! But I also didn’t want the vet visits, food expenses…what do we do with a dog when we want to travel? Fast forward to now and dog-sitting has been a truly epic, awesome experience for all of us. By the time you read this it’s likely we will have reached triple digits of dogs that have stayed here. My kids get to learn about ALL different kinds of dogs which has turned them into lifelong dog lovers. I get the companionship I’m looking for while having a flexible hybrid work schedule. And when you choose us your dog becomes part of our pack, and given the very best care 24/7. I am fully aware that your dog is a member of your family and I truly appreciate your trust in selecting us to care for them. I believe strongly in supporting and giving back to the community, so in addition to fostering dogs we also give a portion of my Rover income back to the local animal shelter. Win-win! What it’s like here: We have a huge fenced-in yard with a horse farm behind us so lots of interesting sights, sounds and smells for your doggie to experience. Many like to hang out on the deck and watch the horses behind our home. Your dog will come home relaxed and happy. Many repeat clients tell me their dogs get excited as soon as they turn onto our street for the next visit because they have happy memories of their last stay. We can hang out with your pooch for doggie day care, overnight, weekend visits, short-term (1-2 weeks), and long-term stays (>2 weeks). We will follow your instructions to a T. Is your dog allowed on your couch? Sure, us too! Does your dog sleep with you? Okay, we can do that! No crate? Sounds great! We want them to enjoy themselves as much as we enjoy having them here. They are truly our guest. It's amazing how quickly the dogs adapt and become part of the family. I’ve cared for dogs that require oral and injected medication, senior dogs, dogs with anxiety, and dogs with diapers. YOUR dog is most welcome. I love figuring out what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Did you know? When searching for a sitter check if the review is flagged "verified stay". Anyone can write a review so only the ones that are flagged this way are legitimate Rover stays!
“Khurum is a great cat sitter! He’s been aending me pics of my baby everyday keeping me up to date with any news about my cat. His male cat is very friendly that they got along together and i am very happy with his service. He also kept Mimi for an extra day without charging me for it since it was too late for me to pick him up the for-seen date. Overall 10/10”

“Happy to found you! Thanks for taking care of our lil princess! She had fun i can tell. Thanks for taking time to take pictures/videos of her too. Truly grateful! Til next!”
“She was amazing with Jinn! Will definitely be coming back. Had timely updates with pictures and vids and Jinn had a lot of fun with his fur buddies and was definitely used up all his energy”

“Jacqueline was a pleasure to work with to arrange daycare for Brutus. She was communicative; responded in minutes with very clear questions. She double checked that Brutus had all the necessary shots. I didn’t go inside, but from the outside the house looked perfect for dogs in a nice neighborhood with grass and a yard. Her two dogs in the house must have had great personalities, because Brutus came home exhausted from playing. Thanks again, Jacqueline! I’ll message you next time.”

“Jennifer did a great job making our dog, George, comfortable while we were away. He was happy & well taken care of, & we would definitely have George stay again in the future!”

“Marilyn and her son Adam were awesome. I took my 11 month old and 50 pound pitbull mix to them for a few hours and it looks like my pup had a great and fun time. From when my pup first met them, she was shy but she warmed up to Marilyn and Adam within minutes. She came home pretty tired as she probably ran around quite a bit and was entertained by them during their care. Thank you both!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, so I’m very comfortable handling a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and routines. I focus on creating a calm, consistent environment where dogs feel safe and understood while their owners are away. I pay close attention to behavior and individual needs, making sure each dog is comfortable, well cared for, and sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. What sets me apart is that I’m highly observant and reliable—I treat every dog as an individual and make sure they feel secure and cared for in my home. Hanging out with pets is honestly my favorite part of my the day! I make time for walks, play sessions, and chill time every day-it never feels like work if tails are wagging. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog amd cat. I can accommodate to your needs. I also have a dog park near by. ..
“I booked last minute and Gavin was wonderfully communicative throughout. Gavin greeted Bella so kindly before daycare, and Bella had a great time with Gavin! I really appreciated his responsiveness and care :)”

“Yvette was terrific. We had a family gathering in the area and needed a place for our dogs to go during the party. Yvette took them in at her place and couldn't have been nicer. She was very friendly to Ozzie and Winston and when I came to pick them up later in the evening, she had them all ready to go. They seemed very comfortable at her house. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

About: We currently foster a variety of different dogs through out the year. We are used to quirky behaviors, shy pups, and just getting dogs to become comfortable with us and our home. We are very adjustable to different dog personalities and requirements, and will be flexible with your needs, and how the dog reacts to us in our home or yours. We have owned many pets in our lifetime, including dogs (as well as fostering). We are well versed in activity, playtime, and training. We love to play fun activities with our dogs such as obstacles, finding treats, water playtime and more! *We will never have a foster dog at the same time we are dog sitting in our home. I work part time from home, and my husband works from home as well. A dog staying in our care will have many walks through out the day, and will be able to go outside every few hours. We have very flexible schedules and outside of a random weekday activity, your pet will be our primary responsibility. In our home, we will tailor set up and activity based on the pet's needs. We are open to using crates, beds, free roaming based on what the pet is used to and comfortable with. We have kids in the home who are very used to working with new animals, especially animals who have come for traumatic environments so they know what to do around new animals-- slow introductions if needed, calm environment, playing in separate rooms etc. We will work with the personality of your dog!
“Kaya really enjoyed her first visit with Elizabeth!! This was the first time she’s had dog sitting in a sitters home and it went really well! I felt very comfortable with Elizabeth and Kaya really likes her 😊”

“Cheryl was phenomenal and really helped me out on short notice to give my dog a calm place to spend the day. She was very communicative and flexible, and had lots of photos to share at the end of the day. Thank you, Cheryl!”

“Our dog easily warmed up with Steph the first time she met her! Steph was great and so accommodating. We agreed to an out of town trip and had to leave early and Steph, with no hesitation, accepted our booking. She really took good care of our dog, that our fur baby went home happy that day. We will use her services again in the future!”

About: Although I am new to Rover, I have had dogs since childhood, have adopted many in my adult life and volunteer at the local shelter. Dogs are my favorite people! Currently I am mom to our sweet 5 year old mixed breed girl Memphis and our newest baby 7 month old Maisie Grace a pomchi mix. Both of my girls are sweet, energetic, loving , go with the flo kinda gals. They get along great with other pups and when not playing in our large fence yard they love to nestle into the sofa for a snuggly nap. I am home full-time and flexible with our routine so I can help you with yours. If you need someone to care for your dogs while you are away,I am very flexible with schedule and for your dogs needs. We live on an acre with our half acre backyard fully fence by a new 6 foot privacy fence. Lots of room to run and play for all pups big or small! I understand how difficult it is to feel comfortable leaving your fur baby while away, I will care for your dog like they are my own. If that means couch snuggles, sharing our bed or whatever special needs your pup may have I’m all in! I’m happy to share lots of pics with your during their stay so you can see first have the fun they are having while you are away!

“Absolutely love Katelyn. I am very protective of who I allow to walk my Zoey since she is known to be quite a puller and loves to bark. After the meet and greet I felt completely comfortable with Katelyn walking Zoey.”

About: My name is Kaileigh and I live in the Pingree Grove area. I have been around dogs my entire life! Before moving into my town home I would house sit my family, friends and co-workers dogs. Just looking for a little extra cash on the side and what better way to do that then walking dogs! I love being outside and will take your dog on a walk for however long you would like. I am super friendly and outgoing. I do work a full time job over in Elgin, IL so I'm looking for walking gigs in the evening or anytime during the weekends. “Fred has been an absolute blessing to our family. Moochy like him immediately and trusted him. She’s usually pretty skittish. Fred was always on time, willing to be flexible if needed, and was just really good with Moochy. I needed someone who was strong to walk mooch because she’s big and strong. Fred had no trouble with it. I had absolute faith in Fred’s ability to handle her. And when Mooch saw his car pull up, she was so happy. I have no trouble recommending Fred to be your dog walker.”

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my eight years of hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals—not just dogs and cats, but also birds, chickens, and horses. I've worked at a dog boarding and daycare facility for the past four years, where I've gained extensive experience handling groups of dogs, recognizing behavior cues, and providing safe, attentive care in a fast-paced environment. I'm also an approved veterinary assistant, which has given me additional training in animal health and wellness. I'm experienced in administering both oral and topical medications and know how to monitor pets for signs of illness or discomfort. Your pet's safety, health, and happiness will always be my top priority. In addition to working with animals, I'm a full-time college student and college cheerleader, so I'm responsible, dependable, and great at managing my time. I'm looking to earn some extra income doing what I truly love—caring for pets and giving them the same love and attention they receive at home. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight care, you can count on me to provide personalized, compassionate care. I'll treat your pet like family and keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit so you can relax knowing they're in caring, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! While I will have a busy schedule, I will always make it a priority to make sure your pet is well taken care of while you’re away! This includes sticking to their schedule to the best of my ability, making sure they get all their energy out before bed time, or anything else they need!

“10/10 would recommend! Best dog sitter we've ever had! Niratcha kept me updated and sent lots of pictures, I always worry when we are away but knowing they were happy and playing the whole time made my vacation so much more enjoyable!”

“Clark loves staying at Jeannie’s house. He has been a repeat customer. He loves her big backyard and being able to play all day. We get pictures throughout his stay as well. She’s very responsive and easy to communicate with. Feels like family!”

“Once again, Derek and his family were the perfect caregivers for my dog Bear. They are kind, caring, and willing to do all of the small, nice things for Bear that I do. I am so happy to have found Derek, as we have several long trips planned in the next few months. We will go away knowing that our sweet pup is in the best hands possible. Thank you so much, Derek!”

“Shalyn & Joseph really set my mind at ease when dropping off my pup. They kept me updated with pictures & detailed messages about how he was doing. Wally seemed like such a happy/ tired boy when he came home & I couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of him!”

“I felt the care that our dog got from Katey was excellent. It was the first time we had boarded our dog who was a rescue dog and I was a little worried how she would react but everything was great. Katey sent a photo and a daily update so we were reassured that Dolly (our coonhound) was fine. I would highly recommend the dog boarding here.”

“Dorothy is amazing and we couldn’t recommend her enough. She took the time to get to know my pup and her needs, and sent many updates while we were away. We are happy to have found someone we trust so much!”

“Gavin was very patient , kind and understanding of my crazy schedule for this weekend and also my first time pet parent anxiety, and my dog loved being in his carelol I would gladly book with him again!”

“Willow was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates while I was away. It was nice knowing she was in good hands, especially since she’s still a puppy. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely book with them again.”

“Great communication from Ashley! I received pictures and videos and continual love from afar about my sweet boy. Huge yard and a great home for any doggie. Excited to have Bowie hosted there again, highly recommended! Great experience!”

“Roberto and his family did a wonderful job sitting for our dog Hopper while we were on vacation for two weeks. He sent us pictures and updates every day or two. They really made Hopper part of the family (even though Hopper kept stealing all of their dog’s toys and attention). We were very happy to be able to leave Hopper in a home where he was so well cared for.”

“I am new to Rover and this is my 1st experience with leaving my precious dog to someone loving and caring through this app. Tina is Awesome!!! My dog Patti, is 14 years old but is still active in her own little way..I really appreciate our introduction to Tina at her place of residence..about a week b4 i went on my travels....I love that Tina asked questions about what Patti likes or how is she around other dogs...I just know my dog is in good hands when I travel in the near future. the pictures Tina sent me of my dog lounging just made me so happy!! I am sooo grateful that Tina loves taking care of dogs..kind of like the dog whisperer...lol She's very knowledgeable about dogs!! Very encouraging information from her own experiences with a dog..oh and very very reasonably priced!!!!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Cheryl! She cared for our pup, Walter, as if he were her own—showering him with love, attention, and the sweetest energy. Cheryl sent us daily updates and adorable photos, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Walter was happy, safe, and well cared for. Cheryl is kind, thoughtful, and incredibly reliable. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Marilyn is a great dog sitter. She provided frequent updates with pictures. She had my dog for 2 weeks and she made me feel comfortable being away for that long. My dog seemed to have enjoyed her time with Marilyn. She has a wonderful home with a nice backyard. I would not hesitate to have Marilyn watch my pet again. Thank you!”
“Penny looked after Ginger as a trial night before we go on a longer trip this summer. I could tell Ginger had a blast and Penny is very caring with the dogs. I’m not concerned with leaving my pup with Penny when I have to be gone this summer. Thank you Penny and Ginger and I will see you again soon!”

“Maria and her family were fantastic! She provided daily feedback and pics of our dog Jack. From the moment we met you could tell how much her and family love and care for dogs. They treated Jack like part of their family. I know Jack will be missing them. But we will connect again in the future! Thanks Maria!!”

“Unbelievable!!! I’ve been using Rover for quite some time now and this family…what can I say?? They were incredible!! I never expected to feel so much like part of the family and how they embraced Sergeant as part of theirs. They loved on him and he was one happy dog! Sergeant now has a new “Auntie”. I can’t say enough good about how they treated him. Obviously we will be using them again!”

“April was Awesome & took great care of our Senior boy Bear Bear!!! Only his 2nd time away from home ever & he was as calm as can be so I know he was comfortable with her & her family!!! Thank You April🙏🏽”
