We were very anxious about leaving our two kitties for the longer part of a week as we have never had a professional cat sitter before and Madeline exceeded our expectations in every way. She proactively scheduled a meet and greet to get to know our cats, carefully and very patiently listened to each cat’s personalities and preferences (there are many!), and is an excellent communicator. We received daily updates with pictures and we felt reassured hearing from her every day we were gone. One of my cats is very sensitive to change and began getting antsy as the days wore on, but Madeline handled him perfectly with attention and care. I am currently on summer break from university, so I have a lot more free time. I am available on weekdays after 11 and weekends I have full availability. Once I return to school in late August, my schedule will change slightly. I’ll be available on weekdays after 1:30 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. About: I have had a yorkie growing up named Daisy! She had a long 16 year life before passing Christmas of 2018. She loved to play with her toys and run around the back yard. I'm looking to care for others pets like I did my own. My fiancé and I adopted our current dog Piper in 2024 she is a 20 pound mixed poodle/ King Charles cavalier and a few other breeds all into one. About: Although I am new to Rover, I have had dogs since childhood, have adopted many in my adult life and volunteer at the local shelter. Dogs are my favorite people! Currently I am mom to our sweet 5 year old mixed breed girl Memphis and our newest baby 7 month old Maisie Grace a pomchi mix. My first dog was a 100 pound German Shepard mix, then we got a miniature border collie mix, then a hound, and now we have a one year old german shepard belgian malinois.
