“Madeline was a complete lifesaver (maybe literally)! I recently had to go out of town for a funeral, and of course my 17 year old cat decided to pick that week to get sick. I messaged Maddie less than 24 hours before my flight left, totally convinced my cat wouldn't be here when I got back, but she responded almost immediately and set up a time to meet Gua. She then basically nursed my cat back to health, giving her food, water, and medication when I was out of town. I can't tell you how reassuring it was to know that there was someone reliable looking after my cat when I was in the midst of dealing with funeral planning. Plus, Maddie sent so many pictures and text updates that it basically felt like I never even left my cat. I can't recommend Maddie enough, and I fully intend to contact her the next time I need a pet sitter.”

About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. I also worked with different rescue groups overseas. I currently have 3 dogs I rescued from Peru South America. Their stories are pretty crazy but now they are living the dog dream. So I am very excited to work with animals! I am a stay at home mom looking to help owners with their pets. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. If it is okay with the owner also carry training treats with me for walks.

About: I love animals. I used to have three Shar Peis, which can be fairly temperamental, but I think I was their favorite walker. I've walked dogs with Wag for years and have cared for dogs ranging from tiny pups to large Anatolian Shepherds. I work from home most days, so having a dog or two in the house is not an issue. And, i don't mind sitting at other folks' homes, if the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. I've recently fenced our backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence, so that visiting dogs will be secure during off-leash play. I live in a quiet neighborhood and there is a large park down the street, so walks can be quite lengthy, if the dog is up for it. I have a few chickens in a coop / run in the backyard. The app asks about my pets but then when I said ‘yes’ only allowed me to pick either ‘dog’ or ‘cat’ - and I couldn’t list birds so I couldn’t update it. 😕. Apparently Rover thinks there are only two kinds of animals??? Visits to the backyard are always supervised to keep everyone safe.

My job is online so im able to work with the pets all day every day. Which is also good becuase i love snuggles and playing with animals! I lock doors, and make sure other animals arnt around of we are on walks, overall just watching your dog and their cues to make sure they arnt getting overwhelmed

About: I've grown up with animals my entire life and have been caring for them as long as I can remember. For the past three years, I've worked at a local animal shelter, giving me experience in caring for cats and dogs with a range of personalities and behavioral needs. I'm also comfortable giving medication to pets if needed. In addition, I have dog sat for family friends before, so I have experience in this type of care. I have also foster four different dogs that have all gotten adopted, so I'm used to many different personalities. I work part-time four days a week so I can easily find time to care for your animals around that! On Sundays and Mondays I can drop in before 7:30 am or after 12 pm and on Tuesdays and Fridays I can drop in before 2 pm or after 6pm. About: I trained my Australian Shepard for 8 years and have lots of patience with dogs of all breeds🫶🏽I’ve had dogs my whole life and I’m very experienced. I am free everyday at least 2 hours a day to walk at different hours of the days( mornings, nights and days). I have lots of availability I always make sure to take my pets to the bathroom at least every 2 hours or as needed. Walking my dog is key to keeping the dog in shape and away from illnesses while also having a clean eating and playtime environment.

“Roberto and his family did a wonderful job sitting for our dog Hopper while we were on vacation for two weeks. He sent us pictures and updates every day or two. They really made Hopper part of the family (even though Hopper kept stealing all of their dog’s toys and attention). We were very happy to be able to leave Hopper in a home where he was so well cared for.”
“Sitter was absolutely fantastic. Very responsive whenever I had a question. Is very knowledgeable about her craft in watching the dogs. Sent me constant updates to let me know when she fed, walked or gave meds to my dog. She has an extreme attention to detail. I mentioned the reason for the sitting and then she messaged us wishing the person a happy birthday and it was very heartfelt. All in all outstanding experience and will use again.”
“This was Remy’s first time staying at Marilyn’s and she had a wonderful experience. She immediately warmed up to Marilyn, which is not typical for her shy nature. Marilyn took Remy on many walks and played fetch in the backyard. She provided pictures & updates throughout the day. Lastly, Marilyn was super accommodating and flexible with pick up time, which was greatly appreciated.”
