About: I'm Victor a homeowner in Hoffman Estates with a fenced backyard and a genuine love for dogs. Your dog gets my full attention: structured walks, a safe yard to run, and a calm home environment. I keep owners updated with photos and check-ins throughout the day. Small things matter to me because your dog matters to you. I'm currently working full-time and have time to walk dogs after 6 p.m., I'm available on weekends as well upon request. Weekends availability if needed. I can responsibly walk your dog without distractions, that means not checking my cellphone every minute during the walk. If house sitting is needed, I am a home owner with fenced back yard and empty unfurnished basement.

“Thank you Pattie for taking such good care of Pudge! Your home was truly his home away from home! I'll be working from home now permanently, but will keep you in mind for vacations. Thank you again!”
“Our dog easily warmed up with Steph the first time she met her! Steph was great and so accommodating. We agreed to an out of town trip and had to leave early and Steph, with no hesitation, accepted our booking. She really took good care of our dog, that our fur baby went home happy that day. We will use her services again in the future!”

About: I am currently a grad school student trying to spread the love for our 4 legged friends one walk at a time! I currently have my own dog that I have had for 2 years that I adore and know how hard it can get when you need to be away from your pet for longer than wanted but have no fear because I will give your pet all the love, adoration, tail wags, and more while you’re away for a bit! I have also taken care of all different types of pets (dogs, cats, bunnies) for family and friends growing up, including walking, boarding, feeding, and bathing. As an all around pet lover, I would love to treat your own dog like family and give them everything that need until you come back. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Hope to hear from you soon :) As of now, I am available weekends! I am free Friday’s after 3pm but other than that, I’m am free all day throughout the weekend. (Updated: 3/30/25) I have a very friendly dog in my household, but can be easily separated from your pet easily if needed. Crating also can be done if necessary. For safety, you will be given 1-2 hour updates (or more!) of the status of your pet also.

“We loved working with Katey! We left our fur baby in her care and we couldn’t be happier!!! She was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond in keeping us updated. It was the first time we had to leave our doggo in someone else’s care. So the texts and pictures meant a lot! :) Katey is super kind and sweet! And she has an awesome family! We have already booked her again!”

“Jackie was amazing with my energetic boy Tucker!! He loved playing in her backyard and snuggling with her and her pups on the couch. He is tired and happy after picking him up. It was my first time dropping him at someone’s house for Rover so I was very anxious, however Jackie eased that immediately when I met her and her two cute pups. I will 100% use her services again next time I’m in the area.”

“Kristina was amazing! Her home is fully dog-proof, safe, and clearly designed with dogs in mind. She’s caring, attentive, and trustworthy—I could tell my dog was happy and comfortable. I highly recommend her doggy daycare!”

My days are very flexible and I will have plenty of time to feed, play with, and walk dogs at any hour on the days of the week I am available. My husband also works from home full time and loves to help out with walks/playing! We have a fenced in yard. We do not have a dog of our own so your dog will get all of the attention! We have plenty of room to fit a crate if necessary. We also have a gate to fence off the upstairs part of the house if necessary as well.
“Jackie is amazing! Our dog Smores had a fun time at Jackie’s place. He loved his time there and enjoyed their company. Jackie is a great host and she made sure s’mores get his walk, play, food and sleep. Thank you for taking care of him so well.”

“I can confidently say Erena is the best dogsitter out there. She keeps updating with adorable pictures and is incredibly responsive. My dog is always happy and well-cared-for in her hands. Highly recommend!”

“Our stay with Courtney was SOO great!! My dog was really anxious at first as this is her first time in daycare with a new person, but by the second day Belle wasn’t nervous at all. By the end out our daycare session she didn’t mind leaving me at all. I could tell she was getting all the love while she was there and enjoyed being there! Courtney was great, she was super helpful and accommodating with start and end times and let me know if she had any concerns or issues with belle during her stay. Her little one Pucca was respectful that Belle wasn’t very playful l, though I’m sure she was disappointed! I would definitely recommend and rebook with Courtney! Thank you!!”

“Min was wonderful with my large dog, Tamale. She reads the dog's body language very well. She sent lots of pics and seemed to really enjoy Tamale's company. I will definitely ask her to dog sit as my regular "go to" person. Thanx Min!”

“April took time to really make sure Beausarge got comfortable on his first visit. She went over his training commands and took him for a walk. He can be a little high needs and she took great care of him. We will definitely be using April again.”

“Tiago is a wonderful dog sitter. Our 7 month old bernedoodle puppy is very high energy and he is very patient and kind to her. He is obviously a dog lover. He is also very organized and always has all of her toys and stuff packed up at pick up time. We couldn't ask for a better sitter and Maggie loves going to visit him and his lovely family.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sutton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
