“Ashley did a fantastic job sitting for my two cats over almost a full two-week timeframe. I have never felt this at ease with a sitter and was really able to relax on my vacation. Timely, respectful, and my cats warmed up to her immediately. I'll never hesitate to rebook!”

“First time using rover for drop in visits and was a bit anxious to have someone in my apartment, but everything went perfectly. I got photos of my kitty playing every day and came home to her having full food and water + key where discussed.”

“Annika is so wonderful! I could not have asked for better care for my girl. I’m so thankful for her help and I know Wink was happy to see her everyday!”

“Victoria has been a reliable cat sitter, they obviously love her which is very reassuring when we have to leave town. She’s flexible with changes in plan which we really appreciate too”

“Sarah showed up during the times we had scheduled and stayed for the time she was supposed to. We got lots of pictures and a recap of the visit. My boys were so excited to have her stop in and play and give some loves to them. I would book her again to stop in and take care of my 3 boys.”

“Leila was a big help. I booked her for last minute for multiple hours, and she didn’t bat an eye. She just asked where, when and what do you need from me? (In a good way). She completely exceeded expectations and I hope she is available to watch him again in the future!”

“Sarah made our first Rover experience feel incredibly seamless and comfortable. We normally have family watch our fur babies, so trusting someone new was a little nerve-wracking for us, but she gave us so much peace of mind throughout the visit. We really appreciated all of the updates, pictures, and guidance she gave us. She followed instructions thoughtfully, communicated clearly, and it genuinely seemed like both of our girls were comfortable with her. She was patient, attentive, and very respectful of our home. We’d absolutely book with Sarah again and are so grateful for the care she gave our girls.”

“It was our first time using an outside dog walker. Beth showed up on time and send us cute updates and photos! She will definitely be our regular walker moving forward!”

“I’ve had a great experience with Catherine, and I feel confident that my kitty is taken care of when I am gone for a few days. I love the photos and updates she sends, and I’m so glad I found her.”

“Corrine was fantastic. Our cat is incredibly shy and comes out of hiding for no one. Corrine was able to see him a few times, which is remarkable. She provided great feedback while we were away and we felt very comfortable and confident with her care.”

“Im absolutely thrilled with Agnieszka! I hope she will always be free to take care of my fur babies when I travel. Not only did she take excellent care of them but she sent me a lot of gorgeous pictures. The only problem with telling you that you too will be thrilled with her care is that she might be busy the next time I need her. 😊”

About: TLDR; I treat every pet like the main character. I lost my furbaby to kidney disease in July 2025 and it was absolutely life-shattering. I was so connected to her that she meant the world to me. While I'm not ready for another dog to fulfill my life, I'm ready to open my heart and home to care for your pet. I currently have 2 senior cats in my home. I’ve cared for family members’ dogs and cats over the years, from energetic puppies to calm senior pets. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic medications, enrichment activities, and giving an abundance of affection. Your furbaby gets my full attention and a warm, peaceful home environment. I’m patient, safety-focused, and great at picking up on a pet’s personality—whether they want playtime, snuggles, or a little space. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. If you think we'd be a good fit, let's chat! I have an open and flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to give pets attention, regular outdoor time, and consistent routines throughout the day. In my home, I focus on creating a calm, comfortable, and safe space. I stick closely to your furbaby's usual routines—feeding, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel at ease during their stay. I keep a tidy environment with a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and I make sure they always have fresh water, cozy spots to relax, and plenty of attention.

Ash did an amazing job with my 3 cats, including administering oral medication for one of them. I got cute pictures and helpful updates after each drop-in. I was nervous to leave them for the first time, but Ash must’ve been great since they weren’t too shy! Highly recommend!!

This was my first experience with Rover and it was definitely a positive experience. I was in the hospital for surgery and Joan put my mind completely at ease concerning the care of my three cats. I liked her the first time I met her; very friendly, kind, anxious to do all she could for my cats, established an immediate rapport with my cat Patrick. She was so consistant with texting me and keeping me up to date on my furbabies; she was also so good about sending me pictures which really made me smile and offered reassurance. My cats seemed so happy and content and well cared for when I returned home. Joan was a Godsend and I am so grateful for her. I can't thank you enough, Joan.
Sarah was absolutely wonderful with my cats! Very easy to communicate with, reliable, trustworthy, and so thoughtful! It was a relief to leave my babies in such good hands. During my trip each day I looked forward to the daily reports and pictures, and this put my mind at ease! I will absolutely book again with Sarah!

Vivian did such a great job taking care of our very elderly dog and 2 cats. Our elderly dog can be very high maintenance but Vivian made sure she did everything she could to keep our pup comfortable and us comfortable throughout each visit. Thank you so much Vivian!

Kathryn was amazing!! She came over to meet our cats and see our routine before we left. Then she was always on time and went above and beyond playing and giving them treats, even sent us videos and pics every time! We loved the updates and couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter 🤍

I am so grateful that Kristen was able to care for my cat Sylvester last minute. She took great care of him and he looked very happy and comfortable with her in the pictures. Kirsten has great communication and I felt comfortable and safe having her in my home. I recommend her and would book with her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheaton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
