Timely, great summaries, and great pictures of the visit that just leave me at ease. Don't hesitate to book Ash. You won't regret it.”

“First time using rover for drop in visits and was a bit anxious to have someone in my apartment, but everything went perfectly. I got photos of my kitty playing every day and came home to her having full food and water + key where discussed.”

About: Hi! I’m Karilyn! Dogs have always been important members of my family. I have experience managing daily pet care, safety, and offering attention. I am most experienced with larger dog breeds, but am familiar with breeds of all sizes and shapes. I prefer to not be out after dark, but am pretty flexible walk-by-walk. Otherwise my availability is as marked. If we’ve established a good relationship, I’m happy to be flexible! On walks, safety is my number one priority. This means secure leashes, alertness to both the environment and the individual dog. This also means catering to sensitivities and preferences of the owner AND the dog. I love to interact with animals, and understand their signals and boundaries. It also important that the pets in my care are hydrated and feeling well after spending time with me.
“Ashley was the first Rover sitter we used, and we are so happy with the service she provided. She gave us detailed notes about each visit. She sent pics of each cat every day, so I knew they were ok. She brought in the mail and took out the garbage. I would definitely hire her again.”

It was my first time leaving my dog with someone through Rover while going out of town and Jordan made it so that I truly didn’t have to worry about a thing. Her pictures and report outs of each visit were very thoughtful and informative, and let me know my dog was in great hands :) Will definitely be using Jordan again!”

“Beth was absolutely AMAZING. This was our first time meeting her and using her. She met us for a “meet & greet” before the scheduled days we needed her for, and it was very helpful. She does this as a full time job and can tell she is so passionate about it. She was great with my pups. She followed all our instructions, took tremendous care of them, was always on time, offered yummy treats and captures great photos. I will definitely use her again!”

“Corrine did a great job watching over my kitty while I was gone! She usually doesn’t come out for many people but she fine the whole time! Would definitely have her again for other trips!”

“Im absolutely thrilled with Agnieszka! I hope she will always be free to take care of my fur babies when I travel. Not only did she take excellent care of them but she sent me a lot of gorgeous pictures. The only problem with telling you that you too will be thrilled with her care is that she might be busy the next time I need her. 😊”

Ash did an amazing job with my 3 cats, including administering oral medication for one of them. I got cute pictures and helpful updates after each drop-in. I was nervous to leave them for the first time, but Ash must’ve been great since they weren’t too shy! Highly recommend!!

Kathryn was such a wonderful sitter for my dog. She was punctual and very thoughtful of my dog needs. My dog had such a great time with her. She sent me so many cute pics and videos of their time together. I was so happy she was able to take care of him and that she made him feel loved as I was away. Thank you so much! I’ll definitely will contact again!

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with my cats! Very easy to communicate with, reliable, trustworthy, and so thoughtful! It was a relief to leave my babies in such good hands. During my trip each day I looked forward to the daily reports and pictures, and this put my mind at ease! I will absolutely book again with Sarah!

Leila was a big help. I booked her for last minute for multiple hours, and she didn’t bat an eye. She just asked where, when and what do you need from me? (In a good way). She completely exceeded expectations and I hope she is available to watch him again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
