“Sydney was fantastic! And it makes going away so much easier knowing that Mia is in good hands with someone who meets Mia as she is and is patient as Mia takes her time to warm up”

“Annika was great at communicating with us before the scheduled walk/play and throughout the day to let us know how our sweet pup was doing. We will surely ask her to help us again!”

About: I started my dog-walking journey when I was 16 years old, helping expecting mothers by caring for and walking their dogs when they needed extra support. What began as a way to earn money during high school quickly became something I truly enjoyed. I loved building connections with pets and making sure they felt safe, happy, and cared for. Over the years, my experience has grown, and I continue dog walking not only as a way to earn extra income but because I genuinely love animals. I especially enjoy spending time with both dogs and cats, learning their personalities, and providing them with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I take pride in being reliable, patient, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I currently work part-time, so my main availability is Thursday through Saturday. I may also be available on other days depending on my schedule, so feel free to reach out and ask! I’m happy to work with you to find a time that fits your needs and your pet’s routine. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and positive environment where every dog and cat feels cared for and respected. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality to help them feel secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide reliable care, plenty of love and attention, and a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I treat every animal as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, happiness, and well-being.
“I contacted Victoria without much.notice hoping to get somebody to walk my dog 2 times on a day where I was going to be gone for at least 12 hours. She had never met me or my dogs but took on the task. She was.able.to get my dogs out, hung out with them a bit in my yard, and for their second afternoon session she took them for a wooded hike and to a pet store for treats. She went above and beyond and my dogs were very pleased. Great job V.”
“Louie is very particular about the company he keeps. He adores Cherri and enjoys going on walks with her. We were very grateful and very relieved that he has a new friend.🙂”

“Beth was an amazing pet sitter for a weekend that we were out of town! She was always on time, sent amazing pictures, and exactly followed the care instructions. We can home to very happy and healthy animals.”

Whether it's walks, playtime, or extra attention and care, I’ll make sure your pup is happy, safe, and loved while you're away. “Madeline saved the day and accepted a last minute request when our usual dog walker was out of town. She was patient with our nervous pup and did a great job at making her feel comfortable!”

“Vivian was AMAZING!! I have never left my dogs with anyone other than family in 24 years! She did a great job even when my dog did not cooperate on their first walk. She left me great messages and cute photos. I felt very comfortable leaving and did not worry at all on trip while I was away. I will be using her again and would recommend her over and over.”

“Catherine is wonderful with our 10 month old lab Lincoln!! He is strong and high energy but she is somehow able to walk him and wear him out for us :) she's also helped us out when we're in a pinch or out of town - she's the best!”

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve had a dog my whole life, so caring for dogs comes very naturally to me. I understand their needs, routines, and behaviors, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. As a double major and minor, college athlete, and active member in a sorority and other clubs, I’m very responsible, organized, and dependable. Even with a busy schedule, I prioritize the pets I care for and make sure they get plenty of attention and consistency. I’m friendly, patient, and kind, which helps me connect easily with dogs of all ages and personalities. I love staying active, so I’m great with energetic dogs who need exercise and playtime. I also have experience with puppies, helping reinforce basic training like potty routines and commands, and I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra attention, or medication reminders. Most importantly, I genuinely love dogs, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for at all times. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I make time specifically for it. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and making sure your dog is fed and cared for throughout the day. I love getting outside for walks, whether your dog needs a quick potty break or a longer, more active walk. For drop-in visits, I’m happy to come over to feed your dog, refresh water, and spend quality time playing and giving them attention so they don’t feel alone. I’m very used to building my schedule around a pet’s needs. No matter how busy I am with school or athletics, I make sure every dog I care for gets the time, care, and attention they deserve. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine so they feel as comfortable as possible. I’ll handle feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also make sure your home is respected and kept clean, and I can send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. If pets are in my home, they’ll have a safe, clean, and welcoming environment with lots of supervision. I keep a consistent schedule for feeding, walks, and play, and make sure they get plenty of affection and exercise. I also have a big fenced-in yard.
About: I have taken care of my own dogs my whole life. I have also spent a lot of time per sitting for friends and family. I love spending time with animals and always treat them like they’re my own. I work from home with flexible hours, so I am available to take care of your pet just about any time. I have availability most days between 10 am - 7 pm. I am very conscientious about the safety and comfort of animals. I am big on not just taking care of their physical needs, but loving on them and making them feel safe, happy, and cared for.
About: My wife, son and I have taken care of pets our entire lives. Currently, we have only one elderly cat with special medical needs. Recently retired, we would love to adopt a dog but our frequent travel (to visit grandchildren) makes that a challenge. That travel helps us understand the stress and anxiety of leaving a pet in the care of others. We enjoy walking and playing with dogs (and cats!) and enjoy being in our yard, which opens to a field in the back, perfect for fetch. We will fill the day with a lot of activity and attention in a safe and secure environment. We are home full time and will have plenty of opportunity for walks, play time and potty breaks. During the school year, but my wife and I are home... and in summer months, our young-adult son will help as well. We have a spacious yard but it is not fenced so we would keep your dog on a long leash while outside. At night, we can easily crate, depending on the pet-parents preferences.

Max had a wonderful walk with Rebeca. She was even kind enough to help with his bootie during his walk. I don’t tighten it correct and it fell off. But she got it back on. I truly appreciate the pictures provided as well. Max seemed to be very comfortable with her. We will be booking Rebeca again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
