Availability
I am a graduate student getting my masters in occupational therapy at Elmhurst University. For the time being, I am available most times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, especially after noon. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, most of my time available will be after 4pm. Weekends are hit or miss depending if I am out of town, usually I will be more free in the mornings but I will solidify my schedule a week in advance! Whether it is a quick drop in or 30 minute walk, I will make sure I give as much love and quality time to your pup!

For drop in visits, I will play with your dog, feed them/fill up their water bowl, take them outside to get some fresh air and use the bathroom, and if needed take them on a walk! I love dogs and don’t find doing anything revolving around them a chore, being around them makes me just as happy as it makes them!
Information alexis m. would like to know about your pet
When requesting me as your sitter, I ask that you give me the most important information to know about your dog before my visit. Whether it is food restrictions, rules on giving treats, behavioral issues, anxiety, or other big factors, I would appreciate your full honesty so I can give your dog the type of love and attention they need and want!
A typical day
as a retired collegiate athlete, I myself am FULL of energy meaning me and your pup are going to have some fun, energy-filled play dates! whether that’s going on a long walk, playing fetch in the yard, or playing tug-of-war, in the living room, i will make sure your dog is as enriched and mentally/physically stimulated as possible!

Pet care experience
I have been an animal lover since I was a child and for many years, had aspirations to become a veterinarian. Although I have deferred from pursuing that occupation, my love for dogs and other animals have not. I personally have a 5 year old mini golden doodle who I love immensely, and have enjoyed teaching her all sorts of tricks (whisper, speak, high five, etc) and taking her out on walks every day. Professionally, for the past 4 years I have annually pet sit a family friends two doggies (one a senior dog and one a mature adult) for a week straight. I stayed at their house every night, fed both the dogs morning and evening, took them on walks, and made sure I was at the house at least half of the day since one of the dogs had severe anxiety. Taking care of your pet takes a lot of dedication, intentionality, love, and patience and I promise to provide that to your furry friend!
Reviews

I needed help last minute when my usual person had car troubles. Despite the weather, Alexis was willing to help out and even took extra time with him since he was being skittish at first. Will absolutely use her again!

TLDR: you should absolutely book Alexis to care for your dog. Full Review: I had to find a last minute sitter/walker for Caesar when his normal sitter was sick and Alexis stepped up in a big way! She was there within the hour and kept me updated with plenty of pictures of Caesar (which I honestly love receiving at work. Makes my day so much better!) I’ve come across walkers on here who are against walking a pitbull because of prejudice (which I think they shouldn’t be allowed on the app, but that’s not the point). The point is that Alexis is clearly an animal lover because she saw an animal that needed her and she stepped up without hesitation. 100% could not recommend her more.
Alexis has been watching my two dogs for the past five years. She is a loving and caring person who is a huge animal lover. When my dogs are in her care, I never have to worry about them. She walks them regularly, feeds them on time and gives them lots of love and attention. When she shows up at the door they are as excited to see her as they are our own family members. In addition, I always come home to a house as clean as it was when I left it. I would highly recommend Alexis as a dog sitter/walker.
