About: Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. I’m a stay-at-home mom to two kids, ages 8 and 11. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I spent many years working at the Humane Society, where I gained extensive hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds. I worked in a busy kennel environment with multiple dogs at a time, including dogs with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and difficult past experiences. I’m excited to be back on Rover after taking several years away to raise my two kids! Now that they’re both in school full time, I’m happy to have more time to get back to doing what I love, caring for animals. Our family has always been passionate about rescue animals. Over the past few years, we sadly lost our three senior rescue dogs and our senior rescue cat, all of whom were very loved members of our family. We now have one sweet, outgoing rescue cat, who is an important part of our family. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I believe in patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement, and I take the time to get to know each animal as an individual. I’m comfortable working with everything from energetic, playful pups to shy, nervous, senior, or special needs pets. What I Offer I’m home most of the day, so your pet will rarely be left alone while in my care. My schedule is also very flexible for walks and drop in visits. A Little About My Family My husband and I are huge animal lovers, and our pets have always been part of the family. Our two children have grown up around rescue animals and have learned to be gentle, respectful, and loving toward them. Our pets have always been treated as family with lots of walks, adventures, training, playtime, and plenty of love. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and my goal is to make you feel completely comfortable knowing they are safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you’re away. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! Working with animals is extremely rewarding for me! I’m home most of the day, so your pet will rarely be left alone while in my care. My schedule is also very flexible for walks and drop-in visits. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow each pet’s routine and specific instructions carefully, while making sure they’re comfortable and secure. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and treat every pet like my own.

About: I have up to a eight years of experience taking care of animals. The most known being cats, dogs, birds, and some farmlife. I also have experience in grooming regarding bathing dogs and cats. This is something I am currently working toward furthering my career in. I am currently unemployed, although I am working on getting a job. I care for two cats at home full time as well as the occasional care of my roommate's pet skink. I have a 7 year old and an 8 month old who is sometimes a full-time job himself. I currently live in an apartment so I do not offer care at my home due to my lease not allowing it. However, within the home of my client I try to keep a common eye on the animals, making sure they are fed, have water, and if required the litterbox/bathroom is done whenever they need it.

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have had multiple rescue dogs from puppies to older dogs. I have taken care of family member dogs. I am recently retired from a career in medical imaging. I have a PhD in Physics and have worked in hospitals including patient care. I have always loved dogs and seem to have a special bond with them. Being retired, I have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I will treat your pet as if it was my own. I do not currently have any pets of my own. I recently moved to this area and live in a townhome.

Not only did she reply right away, but she basically headed straight there. She was incredibly patient with Caesar who can sometimes be reluctant to go on his walks with new people. I booked her for an hour walk, but she went over that time to allow him to get comfortable with her before walking him. She communicated throughout the whole session and made me feel less anxious. About: Dog owner for 17 years, cat owner my whole life. I’m very active love long walks and cuddles. I just lost my 15 year old dog so I’m familiar with senior care and we currently have a puppy so I’m dealing with that so I can handle anything. I work from home so I can do before work (early mornings), midday and afternoons. I can stop in for feedings and or walks. Maybe just cuddles if that’s needed. Fenced yard, 2 friendly dogs. I can stop by for feedings/walks. Very trustworthy mom of 3 grown children. My pups are my world and I know you feel the same about yours.

About: I have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. My education helped build a foundation and understanding of animal welfare, behavior, nutrition, and safe animal handling. I have over two years of professional experience training dogs in basic on-leash obedience, including heel, sit, stay, place, recall, and other foundational commands. I was trained by master trainer Joel Slaven, who has trained animals for movies, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and worked extensively alongside Jack Hanna. In addition to dog training, I have worked as a Kennel Technician, where I helped care for up to 50 dogs at a time. My responsibilities included feeding, administering oral and subcutaneous medications, and providing daily exercise through walks and free running in a large pasture. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I also have experience working at a dog daycare, where I supervised playgroups of 25 or more dogs and learned how to manage different personalities and energy levels in a group setting. Outside of my professional experience, I own a two-year-old English Bulldog. Her stubborn personality and high energy have taught me a great deal about patience, consistency, and adapting my approach to each individual dog. Overall, my experience has strengthened my passion for working with dogs and my commitment to providing them with patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate care. I have an open and flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dog walks/or home visits in the early morning, throughout the day and into the evening. I am happy to work around you and your pets schedule to provide dependable great care. While I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I will treat each animal as if they were my own, giving them love, patience, attention, and dependable care while following their normal routines.

About: My wife, son and I have taken care of pets our entire lives. Currently, we have only one elderly cat with special medical needs. Recently retired, we would love to adopt a dog but our frequent travel (to visit grandchildren) makes that a challenge. That travel helps us understand the stress and anxiety of leaving a pet in the care of others. We enjoy walking and playing with dogs (and cats!) and enjoy being in our yard, which opens to a field in the back, perfect for fetch. We will fill the day with a lot of activity and attention in a safe and secure environment. We are home full time and will have plenty of opportunity for walks, play time and potty breaks. During the school year, but my wife and I are home... and in summer months, our young-adult son will help as well. We have a spacious yard but it is not fenced so we would keep your dog on a long leash while outside. At night, we can easily crate, depending on the pet-parents preferences.

She had never met me or my dogs but took on the task. She was.able.to get my dogs out, hung out with them a bit in my yard, and for their second afternoon session she took them for a wooded hike and to a pet store for treats. About: Hi! I’m Karilyn! Dogs have always been important members of my family. I have experience managing daily pet care, safety, and offering attention. I am most experienced with larger dog breeds, but am familiar with breeds of all sizes and shapes. I prefer to not be out after dark, but am pretty flexible walk-by-walk. Otherwise my availability is as marked. If we’ve established a good relationship, I’m happy to be flexible! On walks, safety is my number one priority. This means secure leashes, alertness to both the environment and the individual dog. This also means catering to sensitivities and preferences of the owner AND the dog. I love to interact with animals, and understand their signals and boundaries. It also important that the pets in my care are hydrated and feeling well after spending time with me.

About: I have taken care of my bunnies since I was 10 and my dogs since I was 14. Friends and family rely on me to take care of their animals and often recommend me to their loved ones. I work three days a week at the hospital, so I am very flexible in scheduling. I am still available to take care of pets on days that I work because I can visit them before or after my shift. I am a loving pet sitter and will make sure your fur baby gets the care they deserve. I am very capable of following complex diets or routines as well.
