Pets will be let outside on a leash and supervised. Can crate if necessary, if this is a comfort to the animal. Sections of the house are blocked off to keep them in controlled areas.

I taught Ada to walk calmly in a heel position, respond to a "slow" command for days when I needed to take things at an easier pace, and regularly check in with me throughout our walks. The biggest lesson I learned wasn't about commands or techniques; it was about communication. Dogs pay attention to far more than we realize. If I became frustrated, Ada noticed.
