Experienced Dog Handler

Hi! I'm Grace (middle name). I have years of experience dog walking and a year of experience working at a professional doggy daycare. I also am involved in a service dog training program on the side. If you're looking for someone you can trust who has experience giving medication, handling special food regimens, and specializes in dog behaviors, I'm the one for you! Worried about your dog trusting new people? I have experience working with dogs with PTSD, history of abuse, and shelter trauma. I believe in patience and letting them go at their own pace. I do not believe in forcing physical touch on a dog that has not given me cues of consent.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide personalized walks, playtime, feeding, medication when needed, and lots of affection. During home visits or house sitting, I make sure the home stays tidy, prioritize any special instructions, and keep pet parents updated with photos and notes. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. If you choose me to care for your fur baby, you won't feel guilty for being away. As a hobby photographer, I take and edit meaningful photos for my clients to make them feel connected to the joy and fun activities their dog is experiencing. On top of that, I try to be detailed in my notes during visits. I want my client to feel as though they were there.

Definitely one of the best sitters I've ever had. Her response time was quick which I think is pretty important. She sent many many pictures of my dog and I didn't even have to ask her. She played with my dog which is also important to me. You can really tell she genuinely loves dogs. 5 stars without question!

Sydney was fantastic! And it makes going away so much easier knowing that Mia is in good hands with someone who meets Mia as she is and is patient as Mia takes her time to warm up

Grace was AMAZING and is so knowledgeable about dogs and their unique needs. She was so patient and knew exactly how to get our dog with bad anxiety more comfortable. We really appreciate her help and the updates during the drop- in visit.

Schedule

Though I do work a job part time, pet care is a joyful part of my life—it's not just a job, it's part of my lifestyle. As a previous dog handler at a doggy daycare, I used spend my days managing group play, monitoring dog behavior, and ensuring each pup gets the attention and care they need. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, training, and pet sitting. I enjoy a life filled with tail wags, muddy paws, and lots of cuddles. I’m used to early mornings, structured schedules, and adapting to the individual needs of different animals. Whether I’m in a doggy daycare or in someone’s home, I take pride in making pets feel safe, happy, and loved.

It’s important for me to know your pet’s routine, any medical needs, triggers (like other dogs, loud noises, etc.), and what they enjoy or dislike. I’d also love to know how they do on walks, how they react to strangers or other animals, and if they have any quirks or behaviors I should be aware of. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor my care and keep your pet safe, happy, and stress-free.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
