“Mei Li walked my dog, Sadie, for 30 minutes around our neighborhood. Sadie can pull on the leash and sometimes eat things off the ground, but Mei Li did a great job making sure Sadie was on her best behavior and didn’t get into anything she shouldn’t have. Sadie came back tired from a long walk, and was happy to interact with Mei Li before she left. Sadie will definitely be asking for Mei Li to take her on more walks!”

I’ve dogsat multiple times for neighbors and friends and currently have a cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently a part-time college student, with classes Monday and Wednesday mornings and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. About: I'm a stay at home mom who would love to give your pet a fun, safe place to be while you're away! I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10, everything from high energy herding dogs to disabled senior cats to newborn puppies. Since I'm able to be around all day, I can give your pet the full attention and care I know I want for my own when I'm away as well. If they stay with us, we have a nice fenced in backyard and our own very friendly dog they can play with as well. I also have a 1 year old with me at all times, which may be important to know. If your pet stays with us I will keep a very watchful eye/keep them separate if there's any doubt about your pet's comfortability with children around. On our end we've taught our child pet safety from day 1 with our own dog, so we have never had a problem. For walks and drop-in visits, he will be in a carrier on my back. So excited to meet you and your pet! I'm a stay at home mom so I am very flexible with my daily routine and am able to give lots of time to your loved one! I have a nice fenced in yard and a very friendly medium-energy dog that yours can play with if they'd like. I'm very used to following specific feeding instructions, giving medication, etc.,. Whatever care and attention your pet needs, you can trust that they will get it here! I also love to send update photos! I know how nice it is to see that my guy is doing well when I'm away so I'd love to give you that peace of mind as well!

About: I welcome dogs from just one household at a time, so your dog—or pair of dogs—gets plenty of individual attention in a relaxed home environment, with a fenced yard and my friendly Bichon, Apple, for company. I've been a dog owner for 16 years, including two Shih Tzus who lived to 16 and 14, so I'm also very comfortable caring for senior dogs. Apple is extremely dog-friendly and enjoys dogs of many sizes, especially those around her size or somewhat larger. I want your dog to feel at home here. I'm happy to follow your normal feeding, sleeping and medication routines, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. I also send plenty of photos and updates so you know how your dog is doing while you're away. I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs (frequent potty breaks, walks as desired, etc.). Occasionally I will have to leave to run errands or meet with clients, but I am rarely gone for more than 2-3 hours. Days that I anticipate being away for more than 3 hours are marked as unavailable on my calendar. When I’m home, guest dogs are welcome to roam the house and fenced yard. If I need to be away briefly, I’m happy to follow whatever routine your dog is accustomed to. I do have several spare crates for smaller dogs if your dog is accustomed to using one, although I also have plenty of space for you to bring yours. I’m happy to work with each owner to maintain their dog's normal overnight routine.

For the past 10+ years, I’ve worked with a number of reputable animal and wildlife properties, including shelters, nature centers (e.g., Indiana Dunes State Park and Lyman Woods Interpretive Center), wildlife rehab. facilities (e.g., Willowbrook Wildlife Center), and zoological societies (e.g., Safari Lake Geneva). I have an unparalleled passion for animals of all breeds and species, possessing direct experience with the following: dogs, cats, rodents, herps, birds, malacostracans, arachnids, and various hooved mammals (horses, giraffes, camels, donkeys, zebras, antelope, etc.). Our family has also owned a diverse array of critters, great and small; my husband and I have been proud rat parents (very heartbreaking that they only live a few years) and are current rescue parents of a leopard gecko, bearded dragon, and albino Florida kingsnake! As a part-time sitter, I am well-versed in walking, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. For the time being, I am working through Rover part-time on my days off. What better way to spend my free time than to love on pets? :) I’m happy to walk, bathe, feed, and provide medication if need be to your pet. I especially enjoy playtime (e.g. fetch) whether within my client's home, in a fenced-in yard, or at a local park.

Whether your pet needs a check-in, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or extra attention, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care and plenty of updates while you’re away. About: I am currently enrolled at Fox College studying to become a vet technician. I have loved animals my whole life. I began volunteering at my local shelter as soon as I could. I began volunteering with my parents since I was only 10 when I started. I have also been lucky enough to foster multiple families of kittens. You can rely on me to keep your pets entertained, their space clean and ultimately make your life easier! I am currently nannying for two boys on weekday afternoons so I am able to walk or check in on pets before or after that commitment. Other than that my schedule is very flexible. When I care for someone else’s pet, I follow their routine, give them affection, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I stick to your instructions and stay in touch so the pet feels well cared for while you’re away.
