“Ash was amazing with our dog and cat and home while away on vacation. She checked in daily with updates and a photo and went the extra mile with making sure our pets felt loved and cared for. Thank you so much!”

About: My parents have a farm with three big dogs and many small ones, I’ve taken care of them many times over the years. I have neighbors and friends reaching out to care for their furry friends while they are out of town. I promise to give your loved furry one the love they would expect on a day to day basis I work from home so if I need to spend the day with your pet I can be there for them as I work! Outside of work hours I can give long walks and tons of play time. If you pet needs extra attention I can provide lots of head pets or give them space if they like to spend their time alone.
“Once again, Bonnie went above and beyond! On our way home, our flight had to divert due to horrible weather, and we weren't certain we could get home when we were supposed to. Plus, with the storm, Mac was nervous, so I wouldn't have felt good with him being alone with that going on. Bonnie stayed and it was a real life-saver. She always goes above and beyond with keeping things up around the house, but I especially appreciate her health and nutrition knowledge for dogs as well. Mac and Gio absolutely love her too.”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life, starting when my mom and I rescued a Corgi when I was ten years old. In College, I adopted a German/ Sheppard Pit Bull Mix named ACE and he taught me a lot about taking care of animals on my own and growing as a human being. Not just walks, but attention, exercise, discipline, and sacrifice 24/7. I am a genuine, reliable person that has a lot of free time as a hockey broadcaster in my summers and I want to help you take care of your dog in a loving, reliable, and most importantly flexible way for you or your family. I live in Naperville, IL and willing to accommodate close to 10 miles:) I Only work weekends, so I can work through the week! Sundays are also a good day for me too usually, I am a sports broadcaster so I have weird hours haha but free a lot in the summer :) Big walking guy, with trails and local suburb paths for us. Water is always out, and toys and calm music if need be. Treats and fun always.
“Sarah was great again on this overnight stay. She gave us regular updates and tons of photos. I’m an anxious traveler with leaving our pets and have no worries when they’re with her.”

“Nancy did a great job watching our dog Atticus! He normally gets very sad when we’re gone, but Nancy made sure he got enough love and attention and he was happy and relaxed. Atticus loved Nancy and even went into the room she stayed in a few times to check if she was still there. She sent frequent updates on his mood, whether he ate, and what they were up to, including sending pictures. We will definitely hire Nancy again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. What sets me apart is that I don’t just stop by to feed or walk them—I make sure they get attention, playtime, exercise, and plenty of love. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Their comfort, company, and entertainment is my goal! I work from home most of the week, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and be available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, potty breaks, feedings, and pet care. I have been dog walking and pet sitting for over 10 years and understand that every dog has different needs, routines, and energy levels. Whether your pup needs exercise, companionship, medication, or just some extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help and accommodate their routine. I’m available all day Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends. Mondays I’m available after 3:30 pm. Wednesdays I am not available at this time. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I have owned dogs my entire life and have cared for more than two dozen dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, routines, and any special needs. I am comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, and dogs that require medication. I also provide photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I prefer to care for your pet in your own home, as I feel that is where dogs feel most comfortable as it is their home too! I own an English bulldog at my home, so being in your home allows just that one-on-one connection.
“I have the cutest little fear aggressive rescue who really only wants to be with us….so it’s hard to find people who will watch her. Sandra had this little fearful girl lying on the couch with her in less than 24 hours. She kept us up to date on how she was doing our entire trip. It was such a relief to find Sandra. We never worried about Mila or anything at home while Sandra was there.”

“Mia was superb, wonderful and both of our dogs warmed up to her on the short moment of meet and greet. I was worried to leave them with a stranger; however, it worked out and felt at ease and not had to worry because Mia took care of what our dogs important needs were -feeding them 2x a day on a timely manner, walked them and kept them company too. Both were well taken care of because they were super happy when I came home. Also the living room was in order and not disarray like our big toys who likes to make a mess -dog toys weren't all over the place. I would use here again in the future ! Thank you.”

“Leeann was wonderful with Mia and Pio! She came on time and cared for them as if they were her own. She sent photos through the day and communicated as requested. Both Mila and Pio were in great spirits when I came home. They took several walks and played puzzles. I’d highly recommend Lee to watch your pets!”

“I will start this review by saying I am a very over protective/hover dog mom and I am extremely picky with who I trust to watch my pup. That said, Anaise was an amazing sitter! During our meet and greet she was super comfortable with my dog, Cleo, who is a heavy bully breed and very energetic. Her love for dogs is apparent, and she kept me updated throughout her entire stay. She sent text messages updating me on how she was doing, how her walks went, and even sent me photos throughout the weekend. I would recommend Anaise to anyone and I will definitely be reaching back out to her when we need a sitter again! Thank you Anaise!”

About: Throughout my entire life, I have loved taking care of dogs and cats, with two dogs and three cats of my own. Taking care of animals is my safe place! “Kathryn was so great and stepped in at the last minute when my previous dog sitter canceled suddenly. She was prompt in responding to messages and took great care of my Nessa!”

About: Competent and compassionate pet sitter, available for daily walks or checkins :) I have always grown up with animals in the home and have petsit for family and friends on numerous occasions. I have 2 lil guys myself and know that each pet has their own unique personality and type of care. My career provides me with a nontraditional schedule, giving me lots of free time and most weekdays off to spend quality time with your pets! While my top priority is saftey, I am also proficient at providing personalized care and an engaging environment, all while creating a comfortable and trusting relationship with you and your pets
About: Hi! I'm Grace (middle name). I have years of experience dog walking and a year of experience working at a professional doggy daycare. I also am involved in a service dog training program on the side. If you're looking for someone you can trust who has experience giving medication, handling special food regimens, and specializes in dog behaviors, I'm the one for you! Worried about your dog trusting new people? I have experience working with dogs with PTSD, history of abuse, and shelter trauma. I believe in patience and letting them go at their own pace. I do not believe in forcing physical touch on a dog that has not given me cues of consent. Though I do work a job part time, pet care is a joyful part of my life—it's not just a job, it's part of my lifestyle. As a previous dog handler at a doggy daycare, I used spend my days managing group play, monitoring dog behavior, and ensuring each pup gets the attention and care they need. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, training, and pet sitting. I enjoy a life filled with tail wags, muddy paws, and lots of cuddles. I’m used to early mornings, structured schedules, and adapting to the individual needs of different animals. Whether I’m in a doggy daycare or in someone’s home, I take pride in making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide personalized walks, playtime, feeding, medication when needed, and lots of affection. During home visits or house sitting, I make sure the home stays tidy, prioritize any special instructions, and keep pet parents updated with photos and notes. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. If you choose me to care for your fur baby, you won't feel guilty for being away. As a hobby photographer, I take and edit meaningful photos for my clients to make them feel connected to the joy and fun activities their dog is experiencing. On top of that, I try to be detailed in my notes during visits. I want my client to feel as though they were there.

I am very flexible with my personal schedule and love to use my time to make sure your baby is well cared for when you need it most! My care service runs by a simple idea, I'm not just here for a single task I'm here to be your pets personal concierge. From the moment I walk in the door and not until well after I leave, my Job is to make sure your loved one is taken care of, safe, and of course happy as can be.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Naperville
This was my first time leaving my older dog with a pet sitter, so I was a little nervous. Amanda was wonderful. She was incredibly flexible as my travel plans changed several times, communicated regularly, and sent lots of pictures and updates that really put me at ease. Most importantly, she took great care of my dog. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book Amanda again. Highly recommend!

Alex was very loved at our house with 3 cats. He was on time & very responsive. We got photo updates everyday. He left my house clean and washed the pet bowls so they were ready to use the night we got back. Very thankful for Alex. We will absolutely use him for our future trips!

It was my first time using any services for my newly adopted shelter dog. Sydney came through in a pinch when I really needed a house/dogsitter. She didn't flinch when meeting my high energy, excited reactive Malinois mix. He loved her right away. She followed all of our strange instructions and updated me throughout her stay. I didn't know what to expect, but was very happy with the care she gave Rebel. For newbies, I suggest discussing exactly what you expect in the way of communication. I will tailor my expectations in future bookings and would be happy to use Sydney again.
Josh recently house sat our dog Lio. It's safe to say that Lio would likely abandon us to go live with Josh! Josh provided us with daily photo/video updates, demonstrating how well they were getting on. It is obvious that he loves animals! Furthermore, he was extremely neat, and left our home cleaner than we did. Leaving a note was a nice touch. We hope that Josh will help us out again!

Liz is great with Dottie. She communicates well through the day, brought in my amazon package, kept the house how she left it, and most importantly cared for Dottie. I got pictures of them lounging on the couch while Dottie got belly rubs, and she also took her for a walk. I would recommend Liz!

Jing is an excellent house sitter. She watched my two dogs while I was overseas for the Holiday break. She provided multiple photos throughout each day and even cleared snow on the back deck and steps so my senior dog could make it back easier to the door. She was very attentive to their needs and compassionate. I would definitely recommend Jing!! Thank you Jing 🤙

Highly recommend Marianne for your pet care and needs! She did such a wonderful job with my 2 large dogs and house sitting while I was gone for a night. She kept me updated throughout the day, sent pics, and took them for a few walks in the cold weather! Thank you, Marianne!

Madalyn did a great job watching my pack for a couple of days including an overnight stay. She was very flexible with availability, showed up on time and most importantly, was a kind and compassionate caregiver for the dogs. I arrived home to contented pooches and my home as tidy as it was when I left. She even managed to get the two “problem children” to eat. I absolutely plan to call her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Naperville on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,296 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Naperville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Naperville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Naperville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Naperville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
