“Bonnie was very nice and willing to do a meet and greet to make sure my animals were comfortable with her. She sent tons of pictures and updates and although she ran into a small problem at one point she handled it well!”

“Peyton was so great with our kitties! They loved seeing her while we were out of town and came out of their shells with her calm demeanor. Thank you so much, Peyton! Will 100% rebook when leaving town in the future!”

“I'll always be booking Ash and I may start planning my vacations around Ash's availability (kind of joking :) ). We have a reserved cat that Ash has been great with. Timely, great summaries, and great pictures of the visit that just leave me at ease. Don't hesitate to book Ash. You won't regret it.”

“Sarah was so great, she gave detailed updates and lots of pictures every drop in for my kitty. You can tell she cares if about the animals and their well being, and goes above and beyond.”

“Madison is the best! My dog Chico loves her more than me bc she’s so friendly and loves dogs. She is reliable, communicative and very caring with my pup. Could not be more happy!”

About: I've been so tremendously lucky to have several dogs come into my family over the years become my everything. No two a like in the slightest: mixed breeds from small to large, gentle and slow to rough and tumble. Each one through their own ways thought me just how important it is to understand the uniqueness in an animal, love it completely and care specifically for their individual needs. I am very flexible with my personal schedule and love to use my time to make sure your baby is well cared for when you need it most! My care service runs by a simple idea, I'm not just here for a single task I'm here to be your pets personal concierge. From the moment I walk in the door and not until well after I leave, my Job is to make sure your loved one is taken care of, safe, and of course happy as can be.
“Amy was excellent in caring for our kitten while we were away for 2 weeks. She dropped in twice a day to make sure out pet was doing well. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter.”

“Fantastic! Pre-booked Lynn a few weeks out, new to rover myself. We had a nice meet and greet a few days before my trip...feeding guidelines, she offered to clean her box and even water my plants! Very personable and attentive. During my trip she sent me pictures of little miss kitty, which was a nice touch. Very fluid, no issues, great experience! Certainly plan on using Lynn in future and recommending to my community!”

About: As a dedicated cat owner, I know that every cat has a unique personality and routine. I have experience caring for kittens, adult cats, and more timid or anxious cats, and I’m comfortable with feeding, medications (if needed), litter box maintenance, enrichment, and giving pets the patience they deserve. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe and cared for while keeping you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable drop-in visits throughout the week. I understand that cats thrive on consistency, so I do my best to keep their routine as close to normal as possible. Whether your cat needs a quick check-in, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or extra attention, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care and plenty of updates while you’re away. Your cat’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. During each visit, I’ll follow your care instructions carefully, make sure food and water are fresh, clean the litter box, and spend quality time playing or simply keeping your cat company (whatever they enjoy most.) I’ll also keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health and send detailed updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Stephanie was wonderful! We needed someone to take care of our cat for a couple days and find someone in under a week. Stephanie was thankfully available and helped us out. She was very friendly and informative! We will definitely consider using her in the future. Thank you Stephanie!”

“Glen did an excellent job taking care of Coco. He gave her a walk, made lunch and all the required water and bathroom breaks. We will leave coco again under the excellent care of Glen.”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of all sorts of animals, from dogs and cats to fainting goats. My mother is a veterinarian so I’ve grown accustomed to many animals other than my own and have learned how to properly care for them. I frequently dog and cat sit for family and friends. I also walk dogs at an animal shelter in my free time. I’ve had both of my dogs since they were puppies and have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and energy levels! I’m in school and work part‑time, which means I’m mostly available in the afternoons. I’m always willing to adjust my schedule with advance notice to best meet your pet’s needs. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. I follow your specific instructions and routines closely so your pet feels happy, secure, and loved while you’re away.
“Luis was very professional and punctual. Left good and personable notes and plenty of photos. I felt that Luis was genuine and really cared for my pet and I wasn’t worried at all while I was away for four days.”

About: My expertise and background lie in zoo and wildlife biology. For the past 10+ years, I’ve worked with a number of reputable animal and wildlife properties, including shelters, nature centers (e.g., Indiana Dunes State Park and Lyman Woods Interpretive Center), wildlife rehab. facilities (e.g., Willowbrook Wildlife Center), and zoological societies (e.g., Safari Lake Geneva). I have an unparalleled passion for animals of all breeds and species, possessing direct experience with the following: dogs, cats, rodents, herps, birds, malacostracans, arachnids, and various hooved mammals (horses, giraffes, camels, donkeys, zebras, antelope, etc.). Our family has also owned a diverse array of critters, great and small; my husband and I have been proud rat parents (very heartbreaking that they only live a few years) and are current rescue parents of a leopard gecko, bearded dragon, and albino Florida kingsnake! As a part-time sitter, I am well-versed in walking, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. For the time being, I am working through Rover part-time on my days off. What better way to spend my free time than to love on pets? :) I’m happy to walk, bathe, feed, and provide medication if need be to your pet. I especially enjoy playtime (e.g. fetch) whether within my client's home, in a fenced-in yard, or at a local park.

“I have a very shy kitty. I was shocked when she warmed up to Jessica so immediately. When I returned home, I found the litter box clean and a very happy cat. I would be happy for her to stay with my cat any time.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Naperville
Amy was wonderful to work with -- when severe thunderstorms rolled through, kept us up to date about the state of the house while we were away. Having two similar-looking cats with different dietary needs can be difficult to keep track of, but she met the challenge with aplomb.

Jennifer has been such a great find on Rover. She was so invested in the care with my cat even before the cat sitting started, taking notes , preparing ahead of time . She has such a warm, friendly and kind approach when you meet her , even in our messages prior to the meet and greet . She sent thorough daily reports and 4-5 pictures a day which was so fun to see . I’m very confident in using Jennifer again for Rishi and feel so lucky to have found her !!

If you need a sitter look no further! Daily routines fine tuned to your fur-baby's needs with an extra dose of love and care--Nicolle is your next booking. She will truly take time to listen to your needs and make sure you leave with peace of mind that things will continue to go smoothly in your absence. She can handle the unexpected challenges that come with animal and home care like surprise messes and clean up to administering medicines. Nicolle goes out of her way to keep you updated with progress while you're away. We feel grateful and lucky to have had her in our home caring for our kitty while we were away. Thank you Nicolle!!

Nina did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats and fish. Both of our cats are on medications with one getting daily injections, and she handled those with no issues. She also looked after my fish, in a high tech aquarium, providing daily video clips so I could monitor things while away. We definitely recommend Nina and will use her again.

Our cat was happy and healthy when we returned. Jessica went above and beyond carrying a heavy box into our house that was delivered the first day we were away. It was a valuable item and would have been at risk if it had stayed on the porch until our return.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Naperville. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
