There’s nothing like a good break with furry friends that helps the day go by. Currently I have a flexible scheduled and enjoy the opportunity. I always make sure that animals are given loving attention. It’s important that they are provided with the bathroom, sleeping and toy accommodations they deserve and the exercise they need. About: I’m a firm believer that no matter the animal, they are family. They’re there for us on our hardest days and deserve more love than we could ever give them. I’ve grown up with animals, mostly cats and dogs, and I worked at a dog daycare for a couple of years. I know more about animals than most people my age and when in doubt, my best friend works at a vet and is one call away! As a licensed EMT-B and student, I have an interesting schedule. My work schedule is on a 2 week rotation so I'm available every other weekend and every other monday. It would be best to connect prior to booking to see how my availibilty fits your needs. Since I have pets of my own, I would feel most comfortable caring for a pet in your home. I’m skilled at reading dog cues and a quick thinker in the event something goes south. If you have any specific needs, I will happily include them during my visits.

The week before the most recent set of check-ins was incredibly chaotic. One of my cats started exhibiting some worrying GI symptoms, which had me frequently checking in with his vet and feeling apprehensive to leave him if I knew he felt awful. Laura was very patient as I anxiously communicated with her about this. After seeing improvement (thankfully!) and getting the green light from the vet, I did keep my travel plans. From the very first check-in, I was reminded exactly why I felt so comfortable asking Laura to look after my boys - she played with them, made sure they ate, and administered their medications. She kept them as healthy and happy as possible, provided great updates at each check-in, and sent so many cute pictures of them! I can’t say enough good things. About: I have had pets ever since I was less than 1, and have owned two dogs in my lifetime. I grew up with a Shetland Sheepdog named Luna, and when she passed I’ve raised a mix named Ponyo ever since. My favorite thing I taught was teaching Ponyo to reply to my whistle command. I’m free all days, any time, except for late Mondays due to my choir activities. I attend school in Peoria during the fall (late August). I have a dog at my home who is friendly but has a scary bark. If needed I could separate my dog from your pet’s room. Under my supervision I will make sure that your pet is always within my sight at all times, and I’ll play and keep them entertained as much as I can.
