About: I've taken care of cats and dogs for around 8 years. My experience includes tasks such as, walking, feeding, playing, and even administering insulin shots for various cats. Friends and family have trusted and relied on me to keep their pets safe, happy, and healthy while away. Currently I do not have any other employments, so all my time will be devoted to caring for your pets! This allows me schedule to be extremely flexible to fit your pet's needs. I have 1/4th an acre of fenced in yard with plenty of toys and my own dog (Libby, a Saint Bernard) to keep your dog company and entertained. Your pets would have full access to upstairs, entry, and basement levels.
“Mia was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time using her as a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was kind enough to come by for a meet-and-greet beforehand, which made me feel so much more comfortable. She was punctual, responsive, and kept me updated with adorable pictures throughout the visit. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and reliable hands. I highly recommend Mia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Bonnie is absolutely wonderful! She took such good care of my little puppy that I needed to be checked on since he’s so small. And my other two dogs loved her as well! Highly recommend 😊”

“Valerie has drop in on Colt for multiple months now, she is amazing with him. She has good communication and is always a great help my girlfriend and I highly recommend her! Thank you!”

About: Hi there! We’re Colleen and Ryan — a huge animal-loving family from Aurora, Illinois. We both grew up surrounded by dogs and cats and truly can’t imagine life without them. Over the years, we’ve cared for pets of all sizes, from 10-lb lap dogs to 115-lb gentle giants! We live in a house with a large fenced-in yard that’s perfect for playtime, walks, and fetch. Our two boys (ages 6 and 8) are just as kind and gentle with animals as we are — they’ve grown up learning how to love and care for pets. Our furry family currently includes our goofy and gentle English Labrador, Skye, our sweet and snuggly chihuahua, Nacho, and our two brother cats, Pete and Steve — who basically think they’re dogs and love to join in on the fun! I (Colleen) work from home in talent acquisition, and Ryan is a high school science teacher, so there’s almost always someone home to give your pets plenty of attention and care. We’d love the chance to help care for your pets as if they were our own — they’ll be in wonderful hands with us! I am currently available every day from morning to night. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets whether having them stay overnight or taking them for quick walks. Just let me know how I can help! I have a large fenced-in backyard with plenty of space to roam and play. I have multiple crates for both large and small dogs, if requested.
“Could not have asked for a better first time experience with Erin. Super communicative. Was willing to adjust to changing pet care instructions and visitation schedules. And reasonable value for what we needed (bearded dragon care). All in all, I would highly recommend Erin and we’ll definitely be using her services again!”

“Would definitely use Glen again! He was kind, consistent and trustworthy. Took care of our 2 seniors dogs while we were out of town. He was always on time and patient with them. Kept in touch and sent pictures daily, made us feel very comfortable while away.”

“Nicolle was a wonderful pet sitter. Her timely communication and check-ins kept us informed so we could relax on our trip. She went above and beyond by grooming our two cats, so they were clean and fluffy when we walked in the door. We very much would recommend Nicolle to anyone looking for a great pet sitter.”

About: I have had pets ever since I was less than 1, and have owned two dogs in my lifetime. I grew up with a Shetland Sheepdog named Luna, and when she passed I’ve raised a mix named Ponyo ever since. My favorite thing I taught was teaching Ponyo to reply to my whistle command. I’m free all days, any time, except for late Mondays due to my choir activities. I attend school in Peoria during the fall (late August). I have a dog at my home who is friendly but has a scary bark. If needed I could separate my dog from your pet’s room. Under my supervision I will make sure that your pet is always within my sight at all times, and I’ll play and keep them entertained as much as I can.
About: As a devoted dog mom to Milo, my pup I raised and trained from puppyhood, I know exactly what dogs need to feel safe, happy, and loved. I have hands-on experience teaching dogs essential commands, including leash walking, leave it, and stay, building the good habits and confidence every dog needs. I also have real experience caring for dogs with separation anxiety, helping them feel calm, secure, and comfortable when their favorite human isn't around. Beyond my own dog, I have experience caring for and training friends' and family's adult dogs of various breeds and temperaments. I understand that every dog is different, and I take time to learn your dog's personality, routine, and preferences before every visit. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, playtime, or just calm companionship, I give every dog the same patience, consistency, and love I give Milo every single day. Pet care fits naturally and consistently into my daily routine. I am available every morning starting at 6:30 AM for early walks, drop-ins, and check-ins — perfect for pets who need care before their owners head to work. I continue availability through 4:30 PM, covering midday walks, afternoon drop-ins, and extended care throughout the day. I also offer evening availability from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM for end-of-day walks, feeding check-ins, and bedtime drop-ins. Your pet will always receive timely, reliable care on a consistent daily schedule — no last-minute scrambling or uncertainty. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I always respect your home and your pet's space. During walks, I keep your dog safely on leash at all times and wipe down their paws and bottom before re-entering your home — keeping your floors and furniture clean and fresh. For cat drop-in visits, I make sure your cat is fed according to your exact instructions, clean the litter box thoroughly including the surrounding area, and ensure the space is left tidy and exactly as I found it. I stay within the areas of your home you designate — your space and privacy are always respected. I follow your instructions carefully every single visit, and I always send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy, clean, and well cared for."
“Heather is fantastic! She is lovely with our pup and dedicated to utilizing her time with him each day to the fullest! We love reading her reports after each visit and she takes the best photos of our handsome boy!”

“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

“Sandra has walked our boys twice now and her service is top-notch. After our meet and greet in person with the pups, you could tell she takes a gentle, confident approach with all dogs. The two visits with our boys has been excellent. I would highly recommend Sandra to everyone.”

“Ally was very responsive from the moment we posted the job and gave us updates on our cats during our trip. Our cats took an immediate liking to her and were well loved while we were gone. Would definitely use Ally’s services again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Eola
Valerie did a great job for us while we were out of town for five days. Our dog, cat, fish, and house were well taken care of. We enjoyed being notified via the app when Valerie started and ended her visits. Her added photos and videos of our animals provided us assurance all was well and were fun to see. We provided Valerie with detailed care directions for our dog, cat, fish, and house needs. It was great to see those directions being put into action via Valerie's photos and videos. Thank you, Valerie, for taking care of our pet family members and home while we were traveling. We greatly appreciate your efforts.

Sarah is absolutely the best pet sitter there is. She is reliable, very caring and extremely responsible in taking care of my cat. She goes out of her way to spend extra time with your pet, as well as taking care of the normal tasks of checking their food, water, etc. Once you have her as your pet sitter, you won't want anyone else, trust me!
Amanda is fabulous! She consulted with me whenever she had any questions. She gave the pets lots of attention. She always showed up on time and sent lots of pictures. She is extremely friendly and easy to work with. She even vacuumed when my dog shed a lot.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eola. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
