“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

About: With extensive pet care experience, I specialize in tailored attention for all ages. I'm adept at administering daily medications, providing senior care, and nurturing puppies or kittens, among other skills and services in pet care. A flexible remote worker who is available for dog walking, feeding, companionship, and house sitting. Comfortable with staying at your residence for extended periods of time. Caring for your pets in your home involves tailored attention. Whether it's regular walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I ensure their well-being and happiness. Don't hesitate to share any special requirements to ensure a wonderful experience for both you and your furry friend.
About: I’ve worked in animal care for years now and have taken care of my own pets for years before that. I have experience with a huge variety of sizes and breeds! I’m well versed in animal behavior and temperaments. I’ve worked with puppies all the way up to senior pets who may need a little extra care or attention. I have my own pets as well and have a deep understanding how much they can mean to us. I’m currently working on my certificate for dog grooming! I have yet to start school but this is a dream I’ve had for a while now. At the moment, I’m almost completely open for sitting. I think enrichment is very important for pets. For dogs, getting outside is a must. Many breeds require a lot of stimulation throughout the day in order to stay healthy in mind and body alike. For cats, some are independent players and toys are a must. Others may like to play with a person and that’s an activity that’s very important for them. I personally feed my animals once in the morning, once at night. My dog typically gets at least one walk a day and I make sure to take him out 2-3 times a day for potty breaks. Or even more if he lets me know he has to go. My one cat is an independent player so I leave her toys in her favorite places.
“We loved having Emily house sit for our cat! We were gone for over a week and our shy cat warmed up to her within the first day of so. We got frequent pictures of him which we appreciated! When we got home not only was Felix doing great, but our home was just how we left it despite our mischievous cat probably making a mess that she helped keep tidy. We plan on booking again in the future.”

“Ollie loved Kate immediately upon her first visit. Callie stayed under the bed but when I’d check in the cats via camera it was clear both were more relaxed. Kate was consistent, checked on Callie under the bed and gave Ollie all the love he would let her. We came home & Ollie did not do his usual stomp to every floor of the house screaming at us. Nothing in the house was messed up, nothing broken, all as it was left including happy cats. I’ll definitely be using Kate again.”

“Jodi was the best pet sitter I’ve ever had. She understands dogs incredibly well and went above and beyond, loving my dogs as if they were her own. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. I’ll absolutely be booking Jodi again the next time we’re out of town.”

“Cristal has been absolutely amazing with our girl. For drop-in visits she provides updates with photos that gives us so much joy. Definitely trust Cristal and will rebook in the future. Also has great communication and flexibility with scheduling.”

“Melanie was excellent! She was reliable and kept me up to date on when she was planning to arrive and after she completed her visit. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve handled pets of my own and have provided at home care for friends or family members my whole life. When needed I’ve boarded animals at my own home for friends or family. There’s nothing like a good break with furry friends that helps the day go by. Currently I have a flexible scheduled and enjoy the opportunity. I always make sure that animals are given loving attention. It’s important that they are provided with the bathroom, sleeping and toy accommodations they deserve and the exercise they need. I understand the need for routine.
“We have used Kassandra for three years now, and she never disappoints. She takes great care of our two cats, sends us tons of pictures, and keeps us consistently updated. She goes above and beyond, vacuuming, taking out the trash, and more! We love Kassandra, and you will too!”

About: I’ve taken care of my family dog until he passed. He was 16yrs old. I also take care of my sisters dog. He is a Husky/ German Shepard mix. My dog recently passed and I miss walking him. His daily walks were 7am and 6:30pm. I’m also opened to walking your dog on weekends. I have a huge fenced yard and a one floor home to reduce stair climbing for senior dogs. I have a car seat for small dogs and do enjoy taking them on DQ runs with the owners permission.

“Maureen stopped in to feed and give my cat some company while my family and I were on vacation. She was wonderful and sent great pics and updates! Highly recommend booking with her!”

“Valerie did a great job for us while we were out of town for five days. Our dog, cat, fish, and house were well taken care of. We enjoyed being notified via the app when Valerie started and ended her visits. Her added photos and videos of our animals provided us assurance all was well and were fun to see. We provided Valerie with detailed care directions for our dog, cat, fish, and house needs. It was great to see those directions being put into action via Valerie's photos and videos. Thank you, Valerie, for taking care of our pet family members and home while we were traveling. We greatly appreciate your efforts.”

“So happy with Kimberly! She’s so sweet with our animals and even went above and beyond when we found an unexpected bunny nest in our backyard. Thank you, Kimberly!”

“Tami talked me through a first time visit and made me feel so comfortable! Our dog ABSOLUTELY loved her, and she sent pictures and messages the whole time she was there. The best we could ask for as first time users, and will be using again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mooseheart
Elena was fantastic caring for my hybrid savannah cat while I was away. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional pet lover. Elena communicates effectively too, which isn’t a common characteristic. I was very comfortable having her visit my cat at our home. And I could tell my cat really enjoyed her company.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mooseheart. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
