“Caitlin did an excellent job taking care of our cats Malcolm and Nala. She stuck to the cats’ schedule which was important to follow. Directions were followed exactly. She brushed our fur babies and the cats played with her a little. She brought in our papers, even though we had asked to cancel the delivery.”

“Mia was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time using her as a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was kind enough to come by for a meet-and-greet beforehand, which made me feel so much more comfortable. She was punctual, responsive, and kept me updated with adorable pictures throughout the visit. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and reliable hands. I highly recommend Mia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Could not have asked for a better first time experience with Erin. Super communicative. Was willing to adjust to changing pet care instructions and visitation schedules. And reasonable value for what we needed (bearded dragon care). All in all, I would highly recommend Erin and we’ll definitely be using her services again!”

“Lori always takes amazing care of our cats while we’re away. I always look forward to the photos she sends each day. She is reliable and communicative and my mind is at ease knowing my cats are in good hands!”

About: I’ve worked in animal care for years now and have taken care of my own pets for years before that. I have experience with a huge variety of sizes and breeds! I’m well versed in animal behavior and temperaments. I’ve worked with puppies all the way up to senior pets who may need a little extra care or attention. I have my own pets as well and have a deep understanding how much they can mean to us. I’m currently working on my certificate for dog grooming! I have yet to start school but this is a dream I’ve had for a while now. At the moment, I’m almost completely open for sitting. I think enrichment is very important for pets. For dogs, getting outside is a must. Many breeds require a lot of stimulation throughout the day in order to stay healthy in mind and body alike. For cats, some are independent players and toys are a must. Others may like to play with a person and that’s an activity that’s very important for them. I personally feed my animals once in the morning, once at night. My dog typically gets at least one walk a day and I make sure to take him out 2-3 times a day for potty breaks. Or even more if he lets me know he has to go. My one cat is an independent player so I leave her toys in her favorite places.
“Elena was fantastic! Elena watched our two pets (Guinea Pigs) while we were out of town. Both pets are recent rescues and they both warmed up to Elena right away. We are very pleased. Elena is very friendly, respectful, great communication, and knowledgeable. We had peace of mind knowing out pets where in great hands.”

“Cristal took amazing care of our Great Dane. Even on short notice and unconfirmed times leading up to our care dates Cristal provided understanding and great communication. She took some fun photos of our dog when playing. I would highly recommend Cristal for your pet sitting needs!”

“New kitten in the house necessitated a drop in. Kate did great trying to engage her though Lucy was a bit skiddish. As always, Ollie was happy to see her, as was Callie despite her remaining under the bed.”

About: I have training experience and boarding experience. I’ve been doing this for over 2+ years. I know the signs to watch out for for aggression and seizures. I am doing this full-time as my job to take care of others fur babies while they’re away on vacation. In a home setting like there’s. I have a yard to play in and my dog loves playing with others. We do so many activities. I have crates if needed& beds

“Heather made us feel very comfortable about the whole process. She came for a meet and greet before our trip so she could get acquainted with our dog. While we were away she sent us daily updates with pictures of Nebu. You could really see he was enjoying himself with her. Will definitely contact her again when going away for vacation.”

“Jodi was the best pet sitter I’ve ever had. She understands dogs incredibly well and went above and beyond, loving my dogs as if they were her own. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. I’ll absolutely be booking Jodi again the next time we’re out of town.”

“We’re so happy to have found Sabrina! She took excellent care of our dogs, one of whom is elderly (and the other is difficult). They loved their time with her, and she went above and beyond to make her visit fun for the dogs and helpful to us. She sent lots of fun pics of them too. We absolutely recommend her!”

“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

About: I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I have a cat named Kiki who mostly keeps to herself. When she’s not being lazy she can be very playful and will play with other cats and dogs as long as they’re friendly too. I used to have a miniature pinscher, Morena, who joined my family in 2005 when she was just a little 2 month old puppy but she passed away in October 2022. She was my best friend and we miss her very much. I have an 11 year old son who is great with dogs as well. I will sometimes board dogs from two different family’s at once depending on their personalities. I am currently on a hybrid work schedule so I work at the office twice a week and the other 3 days I work from home. I have a fenced yard so your dog(s) can run around in it freely. If there are cats being boarded at the same time as dogs I will put up a fence so the cats can roam around freely upstairs while dogs stay on the first floor.
“Michelle was flexible and reliable and Boomer absolutely loved her! She was considerate and thoughtful and I highly recommend Michelle and look forward to (hopefully) book her again and again and again!!!! Thanks Michelle”

“Elyse was amazing with our princess cat! Normally family/relatives watch our cat, so we were nervous...but after meeting Elyse, we knew our cat was in excellent hands! Elyse sent pictures & a thoroughly detailed note after each visit — next time we go out of town, I will absolutely be rebooking with Elyse!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Aurora. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
