“Caitlin did an excellent job taking care of our cats Malcolm and Nala. She stuck to the cats’ schedule which was important to follow. Directions were followed exactly. She brushed our fur babies and the cats played with her a little. She brought in our papers, even though we had asked to cancel the delivery.”

“Ollie loved Kate immediately upon her first visit. Callie stayed under the bed but when I’d check in the cats via camera it was clear both were more relaxed. Kate was consistent, checked on Callie under the bed and gave Ollie all the love he would let her. We came home & Ollie did not do his usual stomp to every floor of the house screaming at us. Nothing in the house was messed up, nothing broken, all as it was left including happy cats. I’ll definitely be using Kate again.”

“Mark did a great job checking in our two dogs when we couldn't be home. He confirmed via text the exact time that he would get to our home. He texted again when he arrived to be with them, and then he sent us a final text that included a photo of them playing while he worked with them. We will definitely have Mark watch them again.”

“Janae has helped us so many times with our dogs she is like one of the family! She always goes above and beyond to take care of our fur babies. She is the best! We love her!”

“She was wonderful with our pups! We haven't been gone so long before and were a little unsure how they would do. But she was great and they loved her- she was So patient and great at communicating with us about what they were up to!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Lori as my pet sitter for two weeks while I was away. I highly recommend her! She provided daily drop-in visits for my cat and demonstrated excellent communication skills throughout our time together. It was clear that she genuinely cares for animals, as she took the time to ask questions and ensure my cat received the best care possible each day. I am extremely happy with the service Lori provided and am very thankful to have found her. I will definitely reach out to Lori for future pet sitting needs!”

“Elyse was amazing with our princess cat! Normally family/relatives watch our cat, so we were nervous...but after meeting Elyse, we knew our cat was in excellent hands! Elyse sent pictures & a thoroughly detailed note after each visit — next time we go out of town, I will absolutely be rebooking with Elyse!!”

“We’re so happy to have found Sabrina! She took excellent care of our dogs, one of whom is elderly (and the other is difficult). They loved their time with her, and she went above and beyond to make her visit fun for the dogs and helpful to us. She sent lots of fun pics of them too. We absolutely recommend her!”

“Chrissy took care of our 2 kitties over Thanksgiving and was absolutely wonderful. Great communication and took great care to ensure our kitties had plenty of stimulation and attention! Will hope to hire her again!”

“Elena was fantastic! Elena watched our two pets (Guinea Pigs) while we were out of town. Both pets are recent rescues and they both warmed up to Elena right away. We are very pleased. Elena is very friendly, respectful, great communication, and knowledgeable. We had peace of mind knowing out pets where in great hands.”

“Excellent communication for which I was very grateful especially since this was our first time with Jackie. Ollie got lots of brushing & Lucy & Callie lots of words with boundaries.”

About: I love dogs and miss mine since moving to Atlanta. I want to be able to play with and take care of other people’s pets because I cannot have my own with my travel schedule. I grew up with dogs at my house for 19 years and it seems weird not to always have them around now. I love to take every opportunity I can to help someone else out with their dogs and play with them. I am very much a dog person and volunteered once a week at a dog shelter while I am at school. I loved caring for those dogs and would love to care for yours too. I am currently between jobs so I am usually home most of the day and have plenty of time to go for walks. I am actively applying for new jobs, but have a lot of free time. I usually take the dogs for multiple walks per day. There is a dog park near me if your dog is good with other animals. I try to go places that I can bring the dogs with me.
“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

About: I have had pets all my life and I absolutely love caring for them, playing with them, all of it. I've had lots of experience with cats and dogs of all sizes and activity levels. (i grew up with 2 pugs and have my own cat as well as a german puppy and 2-year-old rescue mutt at home) I am punctual and a very caring and patient person. I'd love to spend my life working with animals and I feel like this could be a good start for me ! my availability is super flexible so if need be we can figure out a schedule that works for both of us and fits well into our busy lives ! I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets ! As of right now, I am currently unemployed and not in school or training either so I have wide open availability to work with you ! I'm unfortunately not able to care for pets in my own home but I am willing to make any accommodations for your pet(s), big or small as I have worked with a variety of animals with a variety of needs/temperaments.
About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments—from playful puppies to sweet seniors needing a gentler approach. I’m patient, reliable, and love making pets feel safe, loved, and happy. I also have experience with leash training, basic commands, and supporting dogs with special routines or sensitivities. Whether your pup needs a peaceful walk or a burst of playtime, I’ll meet them where they’re at and care for them like my own. I'm currently switching from full-time teaching to part-time nannying time so my schedule is about to open up greatly starting in June. Currently, I am available Mondays after 3, Tuesdays after 4, Thursdays after 5, and Fridays after 4. Once my other job is more structured, I will be adding significantly more available times throughout the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always take time to learn your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so they feel secure and at ease. Whether in your home or on a walk, I stay alert and calm, keeping a close eye on their behavior and surroundings. I use positive reinforcement, never force interactions, and give plenty of love and patience. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family—because that’s what they are.

“Maureen stopped in to feed and give my cat some company while my family and I were on vacation. She was wonderful and sent great pics and updates! Highly recommend booking with her!”

“Josh and Susan were fantastic with our girls! From their thoughtful meet & greet to the numerous updates and photos we received while we were away, thank you so, so much for your care and attention. We will absolutely be repeat-customers.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Batavia
Elena was fantastic caring for my hybrid savannah cat while I was away. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional pet lover. Elena communicates effectively too, which isn’t a common characteristic. I was very comfortable having her visit my cat at our home. And I could tell my cat really enjoyed her company.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Batavia. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
