“Jackie was amazing with our three kitties. She provided excellent communication and I knew they were in good hands. She took care of so much and kept us informed when one kitty had a minor eye issue. I highly recommend Jackie and will book again with her in the future!”
About: I started dog sittng in college for my professors and quickly grew to love it. I've gained experience walking, feeding, and caring for dogs, and I bring these skills to my own pets as well. I'm excited to provide the same care and attention to your dog while you're away. I work from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can accomodate your need. I also offer pickup and drop-off services for a small fee. I have a fenced yard providing a secured space for your dog to play and relax. I also have a senior male Australian Shedperd who loves to play with other dogs, so your pet will have a friendly companion during the stay.

“Mark is fantastic! He is great at communicating and always willing to help me out when I get called into work or need to book at the last minute. I really appreciate him!”
“Kristine does a terrific job. She asks about your pet and any special needs. She is reliable in showing up on time, respecting your home, and caring for your pet, food, water, play. Highly recommended.”

“Jessica had great communication and sent us some sweet pictures and updates of our dog when we were gone! Happy to know he was loved when we weren’t home. Thank you!!”

“Cristina was excellent- conscientious about any special needs or behavior quirks for both my cat and small dog. She was on time for all visits and gave my animals lots of care and affection. Her notes and photos made me feel assured that my buddies were in great hands while I was away.”

“Grace was friendly, responsive, and on time. My dog, who can be a bit shy and nervous around new people warmed up to Grace right away. That says a lot! Highly recommend.”

“We have used Janae several times before. She does an amazing job with our big dog. She is easy to communicate with and drops in on time. It’s great to have a go to dog walker who you know cares for your pet.”

“New kitten in the house necessitated a drop in. Kate did great trying to engage her though Lucy was a bit skiddish. As always, Ollie was happy to see her, as was Callie despite her remaining under the bed.”

“Elena was fantastic! Elena watched our two pets (Guinea Pigs) while we were out of town. Both pets are recent rescues and they both warmed up to Elena right away. We are very pleased. Elena is very friendly, respectful, great communication, and knowledgeable. We had peace of mind knowing out pets where in great hands.”

“Maureen recently cared for our cat while we were on vacation. He is older and requires medication, she was thorough and ensured he received the necessary meds each day. This included transdermal medication delivery, and Maureen was very flexible in his needs. She provided a great recap with pictures each day. I recommend Maureen and we will continue to have Maureen care for our cat!”

About: I have been dog sitting or walking for the last seven years. Also, I worked for a dog daycare for about 2 years. I'm experienced in giving medication and getting stubborn dogs to eat their food. I'm comfortable walking any size or breed of dog. I will be available through the summer and possibly during the school year. The daily or weekly care depends on how many pets I'm caring for at a time. Between the end of August to the beginning of May, I can sit on the weekends. I do require a meeting with owners and the dogs before I dog sit. I'm comfortable to come to my clients home to care for them. If that is taking for a walk or just spending some time with them. I have two friendly beagles that love anyone and a fenced in back yard. I do have a crate of it is need.
“Ashley has become the friend that Blueberry and Dunkin most look forward to seeing every week. Both somewhat skittish, the dogs usually take a little while to warm up to new people. They immediately took to Ashley, though, and enjoy their time with her. This is evident in the pictures Ashley takes during her visits. And, the photos are fantastic! We can tell she's a professional photographer! This has provided us, the parents of Blueberry and Dunkin, great peace of mind. We are confident the dogs are well cared for when we're at work and receiving the attention they need. Ashley is very easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. We're lucky to have found her. Blueberry and Dunkin's lives are so much better because Ashley is in them!”
“We’re so happy to have found Sabrina! She took excellent care of our dogs, one of whom is elderly (and the other is difficult). They loved their time with her, and she went above and beyond to make her visit fun for the dogs and helpful to us. She sent lots of fun pics of them too. We absolutely recommend her!”

“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

Cristal is wonderful with our cats and having her drop by while we’re away gives us good peace of mind just knowing that we don’t have to worry. She is very caring, kind and sweet towards the cats and always sends pictures of them which gives us extra reassurance that they are okay.

Emma was amazing and took such great care of our cats while we were out of town! I’m SO happy i found her as we recently moved to the area. She was very friendly, communicative, and followed instructions. Emma gave us the confidence and reassurance knowing our boys were in best hands. We will book with Emma again!

Elena was fantastic caring for my hybrid savannah cat while I was away. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional pet lover. Elena communicates effectively too, which isn’t a common characteristic. I was very comfortable having her visit my cat at our home. And I could tell my cat really enjoyed her company.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
