“Our dog loved Erika's drop in visits and warmed up to her quickly. We really appreciated the detailed feedback report after each visit. We made the right choice with Erika!”

“Jessica was the perfect person to check in on my cat. First, she responded quickly and courteously to all my communications. Second, she took wonderful care of Bruce following all the instructions I left. She completed the checks on time and created nice reports with pictures and descriptions of how Bruce was doing. My mind was at ease and I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing Jessica was taking care of Bruce…definitely recommend booking her services!”

“Stephanie was wonderful! I have two dogs that have an 88lb difference between the two of them. Stephanie was able to meet their needs and offer them some comfort and care in our home while we were out of town. I received pictures and updates throughout and when we came home, the house looked great and the dogs were happy. I will definetly be using her services again!”

About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. I also worked with different rescue groups overseas. I currently have 3 dogs I rescued from Peru South America. Their stories are pretty crazy but now they are living the dog dream. So I am very excited to work with animals! I am a stay at home mom looking to help owners with their pets. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. If it is okay with the owner also carry training treats with me for walks.
About: I've grown up with animals my entire life and have been caring for them as long as I can remember. For the past three years, I've worked at a local animal shelter, giving me experience in caring for cats and dogs with a range of personalities and behavioral needs. I'm also comfortable giving medication to pets if needed. In addition, I have dog sat for family friends before, so I have experience in this type of care. I have also foster four different dogs that have all gotten adopted, so I'm used to many different personalities. I work part-time four days a week so I can easily find time to care for your animals around that! On Sundays and Mondays I can drop in before 7:30 am or after 12 pm and on Tuesdays and Fridays I can drop in before 2 pm or after 6pm. I am willing to do whatever fits your pet's routine during my drop in visits. I would love to spend time with them each day and make sure they have a great time while you're away. I can crate pets as needed. I'm very flexible on the type of care I'm asked to provide.
“Mary has been awesome with my high maintenance kitties. Both get daily medication and sometimes they can be difficult, but she is able to give it to them. Will definitely use again.”

“She did a great job with my dogs Sutton and Chaz for weekend drop-ins! I honestly don’t know how she managed to walk both of them together, because Sutton can be a terrible walker, but I came home to two very happy dogs. Everything was taken care of, and it was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“Sarah is great! She takes wonderful care of our cats AND is really good about sending updates. I will book her every time we are out of town. I highly recommend her.”

“Great energy! My dog absolutely loved her and it felt like he got all the attention he needed! Would definitely come back to Vicki to have her watch Kovu again!”

“This is the third time Kassandra has watched our kitties, as always another 5-star review! Communication and dedication is unmatched. It is so nice to find someone who is so responsible, trustworthy, and goes above and beyond each time. It’s even better now that my girls remember her and are comfortable from day one. Thank you again, Kassandra!!!”

About: I have been an animal lover since I was a baby. I’ve had around 10 dogs and cats throughout my life. Ozzie is my doggie right now. He’s lovely and I have been his parent for the last year. If you need someone who will not only take care of your pet but understand them I’m the ideal person for you. They’ll have fun while being safe and care for. I currently work from home. I’ll have plenty of time for your loved ones. My days off are Tuesdays and Sundays, therefore those days I’m not available for boarding. Any other day feel more than welcome to contact me! I live in 16 acres of beautiful grass, nature and plenty of space for your dog. Most of it is unfenced but I also have a fenced area. I’ll take care of your pet like it was my own baby. Either here at my home or yours! I have 10yrs+ of dogs and cats experience. I’m the best at this and you’ll have peace of mind like no other sitter can give.
“Katelyn was amazing! She was available last min when our original sitter fell through. Shes so sweet, and handled our fur babies with amazing love & care. Would definitely use & recommend her again!”

About: I have been dog sitting or walking for the last seven years. Also, I worked for a dog daycare for about 2 years. I'm experienced in giving medication and getting stubborn dogs to eat their food. I'm comfortable walking any size or breed of dog. I will be available through the summer and possibly during the school year. The daily or weekly care depends on how many pets I'm caring for at a time. Between the end of August to the beginning of May, I can sit on the weekends. I do require a meeting with owners and the dogs before I dog sit. I'm comfortable to come to my clients home to care for them. If that is taking for a walk or just spending some time with them. I have two friendly beagles that love anyone and a fenced in back yard. I do have a crate of it is need.
About: I have lived with large dogs my entire life and have been put in charge of caring for them overnight and long periods of time for about 10 years. I have experience training dogs and have exceptional patience in every aspect of pet care. Starting in August, I will be available as my availability states (if something looks different from the days you need, let's chat!) I live with three large dogs currently, so I am more than capable of caring for animals at whatever time needed. I am good with slow introductions for anxious animals, and proficient with acclimating and calming down hyper animals. I have excellent skill in reading animals’ body language and curating according responses.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Farmington
When my normal arrangements fell through, I was fortunate to come across Teagan in my search. Teagan met Emma wherever her daily "needs" were, whether shorter or longer walks, play in the yard or just lounging around together. Her daily photos showed just how much Emma adored her (already kinda evident in our next and greet). Without hesitation, I would contract her again.

Vicki was absolutely amazing with our diabetic cat, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. Giving insulin and caring for a diabetic pet requires experience, patience, and attention to detail, and Vicki handled everything with confidence and compassion. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our cat’s well-being and treated him like one of her own. Knowing our cat was in such capable, loving hands allowed us to truly relax on our trip. We highly recommend Vicki to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and caring pet sitter, especially if your pet has special medical needs. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Megan was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond in caring for our cats and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was communicative, thoughtful, and clearly cared about making sure everything was perfect. It's obvious she genuinely loves animals, and they loved her right back. We came home to happy cats and a well-cared-for home, which means the world to us. I wouldn't hesitate to book Megan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and exceptional sitter. Thank you, Megan, for everything!

We have used Kassandra for three years now, and she never disappoints. She takes great care of our two cats, sends us tons of pictures, and keeps us consistently updated. She goes above and beyond, vacuuming, taking out the trash, and more! We love Kassandra, and you will too!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
