“Lauchlan is the best. She’s great with our cats including giving them medication every single visit. I appreciate the updates and pictures. We already have her booked for next time I have to travel.”

About: I’ve worked in animal care for years now and have taken care of my own pets for years before that. I have experience with a huge variety of sizes and breeds! I’m well versed in animal behavior and temperaments. I’ve worked with puppies all the way up to senior pets who may need a little extra care or attention. I have my own pets as well and have a deep understanding how much they can mean to us. I’m currently working on my certificate for dog grooming! I have yet to start school but this is a dream I’ve had for a while now. At the moment, I’m almost completely open for sitting. I think enrichment is very important for pets. For dogs, getting outside is a must. Many breeds require a lot of stimulation throughout the day in order to stay healthy in mind and body alike. For cats, some are independent players and toys are a must. Others may like to play with a person and that’s an activity that’s very important for them. I personally feed my animals once in the morning, once at night. My dog typically gets at least one walk a day and I make sure to take him out 2-3 times a day for potty breaks. Or even more if he lets me know he has to go. My one cat is an independent player so I leave her toys in her favorite places.
About: I’ve handled pets of my own and have provided at home care for friends or family members my whole life. When needed I’ve boarded animals at my own home for friends or family. There’s nothing like a good break with furry friends that helps the day go by. Currently I have a flexible scheduled and enjoy the opportunity. I always make sure that animals are given loving attention. It’s important that they are provided with the bathroom, sleeping and toy accommodations they deserve and the exercise they need. I understand the need for routine.
“Anastasia knew how clingy my cats are and gave them extra love. There were several special instructions and she handled everything with care. Will definitely be calling her again ❤️”
“Ally was very responsive from the moment we posted the job and gave us updates on our cats during our trip. Our cats took an immediate liking to her and were well loved while we were gone. Would definitely use Ally’s services again!”

“Phoebe may have been the best part of our recent vacation! We have 5 cats and a very spoiled indoor bunny who make traveling bittersweet. We usually spend the majority of the trip worrying about and missing them. We had never used Rover before and had concerns with the idea of allowing a stranger in our home (much less carrying for our “children”). Once we did the meet and greet and saw how well our babies took to Phoebe, we knew they were in the best of hands. She took care of every detail including 7 litter boxes (yes, SEVEN LITTER BOXES) and still made time to play with them with their favorite toy and send photos. I’m pretty sure when we returned last night I heard one of them meow and say “wait, where’s Phoebe?” We will definitely be trusting Phoebe with our babies in the future.”
About: I've taken care of dogs for over 4 years. Friends and family always come home to a happy pooch! I'll also ensure your fur babys wellbeing by providing appropriate food and water. Caring for pets is part of my daily routine, not just a side task. I am available full-time during the week to ensure your fur baby receives dependable, loving, and structured care. I have a fenced yard were your fur baby can run and play. If your fur baby needs assistance with medication you can ensure I will be there to make sure their medication is taken on time.
“Could not have asked for a better first time experience with Erin. Super communicative. Was willing to adjust to changing pet care instructions and visitation schedules. And reasonable value for what we needed (bearded dragon care). All in all, I would highly recommend Erin and we’ll definitely be using her services again!”

“We were very happy with Sandra taking care of our pet. She was a perfect, kind and efficient pet sitter. I highly recommend Sandra. While away from our fur baby, we felt very comfortable knowing he was being lovingly cared for by Sandra.”

About: I’m a dependable and caring pet lover who understands how important it is to know your pets are safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits, including feeding, fresh water, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’ll treat your pets with patience and care while keeping you updated throughout each visit. I’m available primarily on weekends and have flexibility throughout the day for drop-in visits and walks. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and schedule visits around their feeding, potty, playtime, and care needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priority. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow your instructions closely and respect both your pet’s routine and your home. I’ll make sure doors and gates are secure, provide fresh food and water as instructed, and send updates so you know your pet is safe and cared for.
“Angel was such a patient, kind, and caring sitter! We just recently moved to the area and our cat is still getting used to our new apartment. Even though she has been a bit shy, Angel spent time just sitting near her and making sure she felt safe and was cared for while we were away. He sent us frequent updates so we weren't worried and was a great communicator. We will definitely book with Angel again in the future!”

About: Hi, my name is Maddie, I’ve been caring of animals for as long as I can remember! I have watched friends and families dogs over the last several years, as well as taking care of my own dogs and cats since I was little. I am constantly around animals and dedicated to making sure that every animal feels comfortable, safe, and loved and I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine ☺️ With my current job, I have a lot of flexibility. My shifts are primarily on weekend nights, giving me availability during the weekdays from morning to evening and I often have weekend availability during the daytime. I am comfortable with adhering to their needs and overcoming any challenges that may arise. I will provide a comfortable, safe environment for you and your pets.
“Tami was able to provide a couple drop-ins for our pups while we were exploring Zion National park. The dogs loved her and she took great care of them! Would definitely book her again if we’re going to be back in the area”

“Michelle was flexible and reliable and Boomer absolutely loved her! She was considerate and thoughtful and I highly recommend Michelle and look forward to (hopefully) book her again and again and again!!!! Thanks Michelle”

LeTisha was absolutely amazing with our cat, Miski! From the moment we left, we had complete peace of mind knowing Miski was in such caring and trustworthy hands. LeTisha kept us updated, gave Miski so much love and attention, and treated her like family. It was clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and that made all the difference. We came home to a happy, relaxed kitty, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We highly recommend LeTisha to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and exceptional pet sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!

I needed a last-minute drop-in visit for my rabbits while I was out of town, and she was able to help on very short notice. She communicated well, checked on my pets promptly, and made sure they had what they needed. I really appreciated her flexibility and willingness to help when I was feeling worried. I would definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
