About: Hi, my name is Erin, and I have been around dogs since the day I was born. I have dog sat many different breeds for my neighbors and family friends. I worked at a dog groomer's as a bather and learned so much about taking care of dogs. The most important lesson I learned during that experience is that patience and kindness are key when interacting with a new dog. Having these two skills is especially important for taking care of senior dogs and nervous dogs. I also learned that a dog experiences the world through their nose. With that knowledge, I always make sure to include sniffing time on walks. Taking different paths and experiencing new smells keeps their mind active and makes the walk 10 times better. I use all of my knowledge to make sure that each walk is a fun and rewarding experience. I can't wait to meet your pup! For the next few months, I will be on summer break. I only work on the weekends and have always wanted to give Rover a try to meet some new furry friends and help them exercise! I will have plenty of free time during the week, but I am willing to chat to see what works best for you and your dog! I have two dogs whom I love to take on walks in my free time. I always make sure to have two hands on the leash at all times when walking both of my dogs. My older dog (110 lb) is quite reactive and could try to chase something at any moment, so I need to be prepared. My younger dog (70 lb) is very sweet and relaxed on walks and not reactive to other dogs or people; however, he is very skittish around loud noises. If he gets frightened, he may try to run and hide, so keeping two hands on the leash is crucial. I never push my puppies beyond their limit, especially if it is hot outside. Their health and safety are always a concern.

About: I have been a dog owner for the past 16 years (3 dogs over this time), and currently have a very dog-friendly Bichon frise who is used to playing with dogs of all sizes (her favorites are her size or somewhat larger). My two previous dogs (both Shih tzus) lived to 16 and 14 years, so I am well aware of how to care for more senior dogs. I have a great neighborhood and am happy to walk your dogs with mine. While I have only owned small dogs, I love all kinds of dogs and am happy to welcome yours into my home. I am happy to work with pet owners on any special routines, including sleep, medication and feeding (I have plenty of room in my refrigerator for any special food your dog might require). I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs (frequent potty breaks, walks as desired, etc.). Occasionally I will have to leave to run errands or meet with clients, but I am rarely gone for more than 2-3 hours. Days that I anticipate being away for more than 3 hours are marked as unavailable on my calendar. I have a fenced yard and a friendly Bichon frise to keep your dogs company. While I prefer crate-trained dogs for times I need to be away briefly, I will welcome your dogs to roam about the house and yard when I am at home. I do have several spare crates for smaller dogs, although I have plenty of space for you to bring yours. I am happy to work with each individual dog owner regarding overnight routines.

About: My family raised Rottweilers growing up at a young age. I eventually had my own American bulldog during college and frequently watch my friend's English Mastiff. I have a unique schedule in which I typically only work every third day, so days off I am more than able to take care of your dog! From long walks to all the cuddles, let me make sure your furry friend is taken care of! I work every third day for 24 hours, so on my days off I am more than able to help pet sit or walk your dog throughout the entire time I am off. I am typically available even on short notice as long as it is a day I am not scheduled to work. I have a large townhouse with plenty of nearby walking trails and forest preserves, as well as a very large sectional for cuddles! Whatever your pet prefers, I can accommodate. From playing with their toys to getting extra treats, your dog will be loved just as if they were my own.
About: I have had dogs all my life and know how much time and attention they need to feel loved and safe. I had two big dogs growing up ( yellow lab and a pit bull terrier) and was very active with them - loved going on long walks and hikes. I currently have a 6 year old bernidoodle who is extremely energetic and goofy and loves to swim and hide my shoes around the house. I love being outside going on long walks and it makes it so much better having a little buddy to share that time with. I have a lot of experience with large and strong dogs as well as puppies. About: I am passionate about animal husbandry. I have had extensive training in the care of dogs, horses, cats, small mammals, fish and birds. I've an associate's degree in equine science (horses). I've had hands on experience since I was 9 years old handling horses and dogs/cats plus any other precious critter I could care for. I’m currently formerly a college athlete, so let me know if your doggo loves to go for runs and I can happily take them on one! I also live around a pond-side walking path that is accessible by foot from where I live, so if you and your dog don’t mind a short drive, I can take them there! I will give your dog my undivided attention so that they have a pawsitively great time!
