About: I Take a Personalized Approach and Maintain Constant Communication I don’t treat all pets the same. I carefully assess the behavior of each animal, understanding that an adult dog has different needs than an energetic puppy or a shy cat. Before accepting any booking, I conduct a detailed consultation to learn about your pet’s routine, fears, favorite activities, and specific medical needs. In addition, I provide regular updates, photos, and videos so you always know how your pet is doing. I don’t just say, “They’re doing fine.” I’ll tell you how well they ate, how much they played, and how their walk went, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. My time management and the way I integrate pet care into my daily routine are designed to ensure consistency and individualized attention, as your pet’s routine is essential to their well-being. In summary, my schedule is built around reliability, consistency, and controlled flexibility, ensuring that your pet’s care fits seamlessly into my day without ever feeling rushed or stressful. ● Home-Like Environment, No Crates: My home is fully pet-proofed and designed to make pets feel like they’re in a second home. Pets live alongside me and are never confined to a crate unless specifically requested by the owner. ● 24/7 Supervision: Pets staying in my home receive constant supervision. I only leave for very short, planned periods, and only when the pet is comfortable, safe, and secure. ● Small Group Care: I accept only a limited number of pets at a time to ensure each one receives individualized attention and that the environment remains calm, safe, and manageable. ● Secure Exercise Area: My home features a securely fenced yard where pets can enjoy supervised playtime and socialization (with the owner's approval and if the pet enjoys interacting with others). In summary, I choose the care option that best meets your pet’s emotional and physical needs—whether that means the comfort of staying in their own home or the constant supervision and companionship offered in mine.
“So incredible! She is very attentive and responsive! We got video and photo updates throughout the day which made me know our dogs were well taken care of! Our dogs came home happy and tired! There is honestly nothing better than that. Cannot recommend Vanessa enough!!”

About: I have taken care of a wide variety of dogs and cats ranging in new puppies and kittens to the senior citizens of the pet world. I am currently retired and have a flexible schedule. I am available seven days a week and enjoy getting to know new dogs and cats. I am readily accessible to the Riverwalk for long walks. I have permit for my dog at the DuPage Dog Parks and am very familiar with the parks in the greater Naperville Wheaton area.
About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I take that responsibility seriously by providing loving, reliable care and plenty of attention. I work from home, which means your dog will be with me for most of the day. This allows me to closely follow their routine and provide attentive, reliable care. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I maintain a safe, supervised environment and have a friendly Cavapoo who can be a great companion for your pup.

About: I have training experience and boarding experience. I’ve been doing this for over 2+ years. I know the signs to watch out for for aggression and seizures. I am doing this full-time as my job to take care of others fur babies while they’re away on vacation. In a home setting like there’s. I have a yard to play in and my dog loves playing with others. We do so many activities. I have crates if needed& beds
“Adithya was terrific with my high energy German Shepherd Champ. Even on a rainy day he kept Champ busy playing so he was nice and tired when we picked him up. He sent pictures and kept me posted throughout the day. Would definitely recommend him. He also responded very quickly to my request.”

“Giedre was wonderful with my 12 week old puppy Izzy. She is very responsive and sent us pictures all day. She is knowledgeable and experienced in caring pets. She has good fenced backyard. I highly recommend Giedre and would definitely go back again.”

“I can honestly say that Ziyang exceeded all our expectations when looking after our dog. She was exceptionally kind, patient and organized. She looked after Aero by making sure she had a structured day that was full of fun. We got loads of pictures and videos about Aero’s day. We definitely be asking her to take care of our fur baby again.”

“Ashley was excellent! I am new to doggie daycare with my first dog, and was quite anxious to leave him. She made everything very easy and was extremely organized. Thank you!!”

“Mike provided outstanding care for our husky and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable while we were away. He checked in with us multiple times throughout the day, kept us updated with plenty of photos, and made sure our dog was happy, safe, and well taken care of. We’ve never had such a positive experience with someone watching our dog and it gave us real peace of mind knowing Mike was so attentive and reliable. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Sky always have a great time with Kendall. When she gets home, she is sooooo drained with energy and would just be quietly resting due to the fact that she had a lot of playing, exercising, fun thing that they did. I get updates about my my puppy every now and then and it makes you feel happy when you see it?. I know that my Sky is well taken care of when she’s with kendall!”
“Awesome experience! Kimberly was very quick to respond to my request, and schedule a meet/greet. Louis is typically shy at the start, however Kimberly provided great updates during the day as he warmed up. At pick up, Louis was running around all over with her two dogs. Thank you Kim, appreciate you and the warm care you gave Louis!”

About: I have been a dog owner for the past 16 years (3 dogs over this time), and currently have a very dog-friendly Bichon frise who is used to playing with dogs of all sizes (her favorites are her size or somewhat larger). My two previous dogs (both Shih tzus) lived to 16 and 14 years, so I am well aware of how to care for more senior dogs. I have a great neighborhood and am happy to walk your dogs with mine. While I have only owned small dogs, I love all kinds of dogs and am happy to welcome yours into my home. I am happy to work with pet owners on any special routines, including sleep, medication and feeding (I have plenty of room in my refrigerator for any special food your dog might require). I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs (frequent potty breaks, walks as desired, etc.). Occasionally I will have to leave to run errands or meet with clients, but I am rarely gone for more than 2-3 hours. Days that I anticipate being away for more than 3 hours are marked as unavailable on my calendar. I have a fenced yard and a friendly Bichon frise to keep your dogs company. While I prefer crate-trained dogs for times I need to be away briefly, I will welcome your dogs to roam about the house and yard when I am at home. I do have several spare crates for smaller dogs, although I have plenty of space for you to bring yours. I am happy to work with each individual dog owner regarding overnight routines.
“My pup is normally very shy and takes him time warming up, but he loved Rosarin right away! He took treats (which never happens), enjoyed a nice long walk with her, and spent some time hanging out with her dog. Rosarin is great with animals, and she shared lots of helpful insights and cute pics/videos. Fantastic sitter, will use her again in a heartbeat!”

About: Over the past year, I have been actively pet sitting for friends, caring for both dogs and cats with different personalities, routines, and needs. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, companionship, litter box care, and following specific instructions to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I used to be an IT professional, retired recently after both my kids graduated from college. Now we are empty-nested with no pets no kids. ☺️ I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days for pet sitting, walking, and playtime. When I am going to run some errands, my husband who is working at home and also a pet-lover will watch the fur baby so he/she is accompanied most of the time. Need a daytime solution for your furry friend? I also provide flexible Doggy Day Care alongside my regular boarding services. For all new clients, the first step is always a Meet & Greet to ensure we're a perfect match for your pup! My journey into Rover boarding comes from a place of deep love for dogs. After 11 wonderful years together, my beloved dog passed away two years ago. While my heart has healed, I missed the joyful energy, the sound of paws on the floor, and the companionship of a dog in the house. I chose to start pet boarding because it allows me to pour all that lifetime of accumulated love, patience, and spoiling into your furry baby! When your pet stays with me, they won't just be "looked after"—they will be treated with the exact same deep devotion, warmth, and care that I gave my own boy for over a decade. I will only take one pet a time for boarding. Pet will enjoy completely unrestricted, free roam of our home, plenty of one-on-one attention, and a daily routine tailored exactly to their comfort level. Please bring your pets food and treats. If your pet has favorite bed/blanket/toy, bring them, otherwise they can use our dog bed, our sofa and, my bed! Small or medium size dogs (<40 lb).

Daniella was simply amazing with our Pup. She was very patient and caring. She also gave us a few tips(us being first time pup parents) and made sure our Pup was relaxed and comfortable. Her dog was super sweet as well. Amazing experience with her. Would definitely recommend & return.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
