“Phoebe is my go to when I need to leave town and have someone check on and play with my cat. She’s been over numerous times and I will certainly keep booking her in the future!”

“Emily did such a great job with Michael. It’s so nice to feel at ease when we are away because we could tell she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Michael. And it was an added bonus that she provided us with a ton of pictures and we could tell that he was so happy. We are very excited to book with her again, thank you Emily!!!”

“Lauchlan was fantastic! She sent thorough daily reports and photos of her drop-in visits with our cat. I looked forward to each one and loved hearing that he got along so well with her. She was on time, respectful of our property, and followed instructions perfectly. I would absolutely book with her again next time we need a pet sitter!”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. But I love all and any animals to be honest. I was raised with Dalmatians. When I got my home it was the first best friend I got. Gavin. He was the best🥰 Since then I have loved a Cavalier named Rusty who passed in August. He had non mobile back legs, so I have experience in senior dogs and handicap dogs. My dogs have all lived to old age. I have experience with oral medication and shots. I regularly will watch friends and family dogs as well. My extended pet family includes a Husky, German Shepard, Labradoodle and a couple cats🤣 I work only 5 minutes from home. A regular day for me and my Cavalier was breakfast and walk about 7am, home for lunch and walk about 11:30. After work we go out again, watch some tv or read a book. Dinner. And one more potty break before bed. I have a very calm and quiet environment for pets. I would make sure to find out what your pet is used to and try to stick to what they are comfortable with. Routine is very important to pets. Owner permitting, if your dog is pretty calm and friendly, they are welcome to come hang out at work with me as well!! My home is a calm and quiet environment. Multiple walks a day. I love walking myself and I do not have a fenced yard. I do have a backyard area where outside play is provided. Play time inside is all up to what your pet feels like doing. I’m up for a good game of tug anytime they are!!
“Emily did a wonderful job caring for our two dogs while we were away. She was reliable, punctual, and great about giving updates and pictures. We would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Balbina was patient with Jackson as this was their first time meeting and my dog was a little hesitant! Thank you so much for taking care of my boy when I was in a bind!!”

“Marisol did an amazing job taking care of all of our Four pups. She provided us with daily updates and pictures. Our pups truly enjoyed having her. She is highly recommended.”

About: I grew up with a dog during high school and college - a pug, loved her! Currently a bun mom. Love dogs and enjoy a good walk or just some play time. Although we don’t personally have a dog, my neighbors dog is often hanging out in my backyard. Recently started volunteering at the cat center and doing short term fostering. I work a school schedule, so available evenings and weekends, but all day during school breaks/holidays. Depending on the needs could fit in a visit during my lunch time too! I am happy to walk your dogs and return them home (to a crate or free roam). I am happy to drop in to visit or play with a cat 🐱 or dog 🐶 in your home.
“Sandra has walked our boys twice now and her service is top-notch. After our meet and greet in person with the pups, you could tell she takes a gentle, confident approach with all dogs. The two visits with our boys has been excellent. I would highly recommend Sandra to everyone.”

“We were extremely pleased with the care our pets received. During a period of severe weather, she went above and beyond to ensure they were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. She kept us updated with regular communication, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Her reliability, compassion, and dedication to our pets was outstanding.”

“Kari is such a rockstar! She was able to fit us in super last minute and still make sure everyone got fed and checked in. Despite our grumpy cat's best effort she was still able to check on her too. Lol you cannot go wrong booking Kari :)”
“Caitlin did such an amazing job with 2 cats, one if which can be difficult. Caitlin came daily at the time promised, sent detailed notes on how the visit went as well as adorable pictures of the stay! Definitely a 5 star sitter!”

“I've used Xiaotong multiple times to care for our pets while we were out of town. She does a great job every time. She has always been on time, keeps us informed with pictures and videos, and it's apparent our dog loves her. I intend to use her whenever we have to leave the pets at home.”

“I was very anxious about leaving my cat alone for the first time, but my meet and greet with Ally was so easy and comfortable I had no concerns. My cat even played with her and he doesn’t always like strangers. Would definitely book Ally again.”

About: Hello! My name is Alexandra and I've had dogs ever since I was little. I've been the primary care taker of mainly dogs, but I've had cats before. I've worked in pet stores for three years, which has prepared me for a lot of unpredictable situations. An area I am confident in is caring for reactive dogs, as I've cared for them before. I'm also familiar with caring for both puppies and senior dogs. I'd love to help take care of your pet in the best way possible! Currently, my summer is completely open. I'm preparing for law school in the fall and would be happy to continue helping while continuing my education. I take care of my own animals and visit family, but otherwise I'm usually available. I also have a car, so travel is no issue for me. I love playful and energetic dogs and cats as well as laid back ones. Whatever you pet needs, I can adjust to make them happiest. With walks, I'll be able to keep up with whatever training standards are in place to allow for consistency whether it be outside for walks or inside. Tough players or pullers aren't a problem for me, however I'm pretty short and some dogs would potentially be able to overpower me, but I'm always willing to see if it would be a good fit. Anything I can do to ensure your pet is comfortable and safe, I will do.
About: Hi, my name is Erin, and I have been around dogs since the day I was born. I have dog sat many different breeds for my neighbors and family friends. I worked at a dog groomer's as a bather and learned so much about taking care of dogs. The most important lesson I learned during that experience is that patience and kindness are key when interacting with a new dog. Having these two skills is especially important for taking care of senior dogs and nervous dogs. I also learned that a dog experiences the world through their nose. With that knowledge, I always make sure to include sniffing time on walks. Taking different paths and experiencing new smells keeps their mind active and makes the walk 10 times better. I use all of my knowledge to make sure that each walk is a fun and rewarding experience. I can't wait to meet your pup! For the next few months, I will be on summer break. I only work on the weekends and have always wanted to give Rover a try to meet some new furry friends and help them exercise! I will have plenty of free time during the week, but I am willing to chat to see what works best for you and your dog! I have two dogs whom I love to take on walks in my free time. I always make sure to have two hands on the leash at all times when walking both of my dogs. My older dog (110 lb) is quite reactive and could try to chase something at any moment, so I need to be prepared. My younger dog (70 lb) is very sweet and relaxed on walks and not reactive to other dogs or people; however, he is very skittish around loud noises. If he gets frightened, he may try to run and hide, so keeping two hands on the leash is crucial. I never push my puppies beyond their limit, especially if it is hot outside. Their health and safety are always a concern.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wolfs
Laura provided the best care for my three cats! One of them has asthma and needed daily meds through an Aerokat inhaler which Laura mastered immediately. We loved seeing the photos provided each day and also the updates on the other two more timid cats who did not always come out of hiding. The litter box was cleaned and food/water was replenished daily. Such peace of mind knowing she was making sure everything was taken care of. Will definitely book her services next time we go out of town.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wolfs. On Rover:

- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
