“Emily was quick to respond always…before booking and during the visits with any questions. She was dependable and came when she said she would, which was important for us because I had a family member staying with Bella, but this person was unable to give Bella her medicine. Emily came to give Bella her pill, and the family member was able to plan her day accordingly. Emily sent a picture with every visit. By the last day, my Bella was laying her sweet head in Emily’s hand. That made me feel so good. I know Bella made a new friend. It’s hard to leave your fur babies, especially when they are senior and need special care. I had two trips back to back and already secured Emily for my next trip and will definitely keep her mind for future trips. I recommend Emily with full confidence she’d be great for your fur babies!”

“Rachel was just great!! She followed all of our pet care requests with no issue and was very responsive! She sent pictures of our cats and gave a reassuring update that they are doing well!! We will totally book her again!”

“Angie was punctual and so helpful when our dog had an accident in the house. She made sure to take our dog for a nice walk and get her to potty outside during her drop in. Thank you again & Penny looks forward to seeing you next week!”

About: Hi, my name is Erin, and I have been around dogs since the day I was born. I have dog sat many different breeds for my neighbors and family friends. I worked at a dog groomer's as a bather and learned so much about taking care of dogs. The most important lesson I learned during that experience is that patience and kindness are key when interacting with a new dog. Having these two skills is especially important for taking care of senior dogs and nervous dogs. I also learned that a dog experiences the world through their nose. With that knowledge, I always make sure to include sniffing time on walks. Taking different paths and experiencing new smells keeps their mind active and makes the walk 10 times better. I use all of my knowledge to make sure that each walk is a fun and rewarding experience. I can't wait to meet your pup! For the next few months, I will be on summer break. I only work on the weekends and have always wanted to give Rover a try to meet some new furry friends and help them exercise! I will have plenty of free time during the week, but I am willing to chat to see what works best for you and your dog! I have two dogs whom I love to take on walks in my free time. I always make sure to have two hands on the leash at all times when walking both of my dogs. My older dog (110 lb) is quite reactive and could try to chase something at any moment, so I need to be prepared. My younger dog (70 lb) is very sweet and relaxed on walks and not reactive to other dogs or people; however, he is very skittish around loud noises. If he gets frightened, he may try to run and hide, so keeping two hands on the leash is crucial. I never push my puppies beyond their limit, especially if it is hot outside. Their health and safety are always a concern.
“Great pet sitter for my senior cat. Xiaotong checked with me if there were any questions on my written instructions. She also made sure to send daily videos and photos. My cat isn't very social with strangers but she was able to provide those daily doses of chin scritches.”

“Bradlei was quick in her responses to my request and was willing to take my request on such short notice. She asked the right questions and even took notes during our meeting to ensure as little discomfort to kitty as possible while I was out. Her updates were timely and clear, and she took initiative to take care of an unexpected sickness/clean up that we had not discussed beforehand.”

“Caitlin was great!!!! My dog, Rodgers, loved her and her belly rubs. My booking was also VERY last minute so very thankful she was able to help with such short notice and on a Holiday! Will be using her every time we need a dog sitter 🥰”

“Amanda is such a sweetheart and our puppy Noa loves her so much! She falls asleep in her lap and adores her. We look forward to booking Amanda to care for Noa when we return for work in the fall and I highly recommend Amanda! She's fantastic!”

“Kisha was very attentive and caring for my teenage cat and actively updated me while I was out which was appreciated! She was kind enough to care for my cat on very short notice and was very easy to work with! My cat is usually very jumpy around people, but upon meeting Kisha he was instantly drawn to her. She also gave great advice when I asked about recommendations to make him more comfortable.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
