About: I have grown up with dogs and animals my entire life, and they have always been an important part of my family. I have experience with both small and large dogs and have always loved caring for and spending time with them. I especially enjoy being active and going on walks with dogs. I also have seven years of experience training dogs through my local 4-H program, where I developed hands-on experience with training, handling, and building a strong bond with dogs. My lifelong experience with animals and my love for being active make spending time with dogs something I truly enjoy! I’m currently working as a part-time employee for Rover. My available hours are M - F between 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm, and weekends may vary but typically Saturday - Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm I can be available. I am comfortable with most pet needs such as feeding, checking for fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, and crating (if your pet is kenneled). I also make sure your pet has some quality play time during my visits!
About: As far as I remember myself, I always had a cat in my house. From childhood I wanted to become a veterinarian and although I’ve gotten a different degree, my passion for animals never went away. I have a cat of my own, have work experience from a dog and cat daycare center, and experience from volunteering in Humane Society, so I know what kind of a care a pet deserves. Additionally, I took safety training at the pet daycare center, which thought me how to handle myself with cats and dogs in the best way. About: I have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. My education helped build a foundation and understanding of animal welfare, behavior, nutrition, and safe animal handling. I have over two years of professional experience training dogs in basic on-leash obedience, including heel, sit, stay, place, recall, and other foundational commands. I was trained by master trainer Joel Slaven, who has trained animals for movies, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and worked extensively alongside Jack Hanna. In addition to dog training, I have worked as a Kennel Technician, where I helped care for up to 50 dogs at a time. My responsibilities included feeding, administering oral and subcutaneous medications, and providing daily exercise through walks and free running in a large pasture. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of many different sizes, ages and personality’s. I had a 200 lbs English Mastiff for 11 years, and currently have a 10 year old Pomeranian as well.
