“I can’t enough AMAZING things about Megan! She has been a God-sent for our new baby Onix and she cares for him so much! She is careful with what he encounters outside and is helpful keeping consistency with us on his command words we are training him with.”

“First time using rover for drop in visits and was a bit anxious to have someone in my apartment, but everything went perfectly. I got photos of my kitty playing every day and came home to her having full food and water + key where discussed.”

“Bonnie was a pleasure to meet. Fiona felt very comfortable with her and was happy in the time they spent together. My group from my business meeting will definitely reach out to her when traveling to IL. So will I ♥️”

About: While I'm new to Rover, I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, from dogs and cats to all kinds of pocket pets, so caring for animals has always been a big part of who I am. I genuinely love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, comfortable, and cared for. I've committed my career to caring for pets, and for the past five years I’ve also worked in client services at an animal hospital, which has given me even more experience understanding pets and their individual needs. I’ve learned how important patience, kindness, attention to detail, and communication are when caring for someone’s beloved pet. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for family and friends over the years, and I currently pet-sit for an adorable senior dog multiple times a week. I’m comfortable with everything from walks, feeding, playtime, and cuddles to giving medications and providing overnight, in-home care. I know that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I love getting to know those little quirks that make them who they are. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, shy and needs some time to warm up, or a senior who needs a little extra patience, I’m committed to making sure they get the care and attention they need and building trust with the client. Most importantly, I understand that when you hire someone to care for your pet, you’re trusting them with a member of your family. I take that trust seriously and want both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable with me. I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and care I would want for my own, while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your furry family members! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine! I work full-time at an animal hospital, so caring for animals is already a big part of my day. I’m available for pet care every day after 7 PM, as well as all day Tuesdays, before noon on Thursdays, after 2 PM on Saturdays, and all day Sundays. If needed, I'm also available for an early morning drop-in before my shifts. • Monday (off for Labor Day 9/7): 7:20 AM–7:00 PM • Tuesday: Off • Wednesday: 7:20 AM–5:00 PM • Thursday: 12:30 PM–6:00 PM • Friday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM • Alternating Saturdays (starting 9/5/26): 7:50 AM–2:00 PM I’m happy to work with pet parents to find a schedule that fits their pet’s routine, whether that’s an evening walk or drop-in, medication administration, quality time, or overnight care. I currently provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I can help pets feel comfortable by keeping them in their familiar environment and maintaining their usual routines. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, medication administration when needed, and plenty of quality time and attention. I’m also available for overnight pet sitting in your home if your pet would benefit from having someone there with them overnight. Because I have a cat at home who isn’t comfortable around unfamiliar animals, I typically don’t offer boarding in my own home. My focus is on making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Ashley did a fantastic job sitting for my two cats over almost a full two-week timeframe. I have never felt this at ease with a sitter and was really able to relax on my vacation. Timely, respectful, and my cats warmed up to her immediately. I'll never hesitate to rebook!”

“Victoria was great! She kept us in full communication, sent videos, and helped us navigate through our new puppy’s shyness. She’s very easy to work with and would recommend her to anyone”

“Sarah made our first Rover experience feel incredibly seamless and comfortable. We normally have family watch our fur babies, so trusting someone new was a little nerve-wracking for us, but she gave us so much peace of mind throughout the visit. We really appreciated all of the updates, pictures, and guidance she gave us. She followed instructions thoughtfully, communicated clearly, and it genuinely seemed like both of our girls were comfortable with her. She was patient, attentive, and very respectful of our home. We’d absolutely book with Sarah again and are so grateful for the care she gave our girls.”

About: I am newer to the pet care game but I have had experience taking care of my friends pets while they are out of town. I will always make sure they have been fed, walked, and whatever special requests the owner has. I work full time so I’m mostly looking for stuff do on weekends or evenings right now. I’m looking forward to meeting your pets and helping give them the care they need! I will not be able to keep pets in my apartment, but I will try to be as consistent with your schedule as possible so your pets can feel more stable as long as you’re gone.
“Madison is the best! My dog Chico loves her more than me bc she’s so friendly and loves dogs. She is reliable, communicative and very caring with my pup. Could not be more happy!”

“Glen did an excellent job taking care of Coco. He gave her a walk, made lunch and all the required water and bathroom breaks. We will leave coco again under the excellent care of Glen.”

“Could not have asked for a better first time experience with Erin. Super communicative. Was willing to adjust to changing pet care instructions and visitation schedules. And reasonable value for what we needed (bearded dragon care). All in all, I would highly recommend Erin and we’ll definitely be using her services again!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for family and friends’ dogs while also attending dog training classes to better understand their needs and behavior. As the proud owner of two very spoiled cats, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust, and I will care for your pets with the same love, attention, and reliability I give my own. I currently work full-time (9-5) which gives me flexibility to perform pet care before and after work, as well as the weekends! I have my own car so transportation is never a problem I am very comfortable caring for pets in the home and love to take dogs on walks. I have experience with most domesticated animals and am willing to learn how yours wants to be cared for.
“Luis was very professional and punctual. Left good and personable notes and plenty of photos. I felt that Luis was genuine and really cared for my pet and I wasn’t worried at all while I was away for four days.”

About: Every animal I meet becomes family and will always be treated and loved that way. Volunteered at many shelters to help train and socialize dogs. I am even more familiar with cats and how to care for them! I am a stay at home mom and have open availability if your pet and you are comfortable with your pet around a child. I understand completely the importance of security with animals so if you are unsure or prefer not, I will be fully available fridays- mondays all day, then can workout a schedule on Tuesday - Thursday! I have 4 cats and 2 dogs at home that I have personally and trained and care for daily. Also a 75 gallon fish tank with fish and snails! I have a fenced in yard and all my rooms have baby gates so pets can’t get out of sight! I am reliable and will show up for your pet and their schedule. I have knowledge and daily experience with animals that need medicine or special care.

Kathryn was amazing!! She came over to meet our cats and see our routine before we left. Then she was always on time and went above and beyond playing and giving them treats, even sent us videos and pics every time! We loved the updates and couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter 🤍

If you need a sitter look no further! Daily routines fine tuned to your fur-baby's needs with an extra dose of love and care--Nicolle is your next booking. She will truly take time to listen to your needs and make sure you leave with peace of mind that things will continue to go smoothly in your absence. She can handle the unexpected challenges that come with animal and home care like surprise messes and clean up to administering medicines. Nicolle goes out of her way to keep you updated with progress while you're away. We feel grateful and lucky to have had her in our home caring for our kitty while we were away. Thank you Nicolle!!

Jeni G was great with my two cats Ash and Button. I was out of town for 8 days and she sent me photos 2x a day of my kitties which always made me smile. I have nothing but good things to say about the cat sitting services she provided. It's comforting to know my cats are in good care while I'm gone. I'll definitely request Jeni in the future. Thanks Jeni!

Our cat was happy and healthy when we returned. Jessica went above and beyond carrying a heavy box into our house that was delivered the first day we were away. It was a valuable item and would have been at risk if it had stayed on the porch until our return.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
