About: I’ve handled pets of my own and have provided at home care for friends or family members my whole life. When needed I’ve boarded animals at my own home for friends or family. There’s nothing like a good break with furry friends that helps the day go by. Currently I have a flexible scheduled and enjoy the opportunity. I always make sure that animals are given loving attention. It’s important that they are provided with the bathroom, sleeping and toy accommodations they deserve and the exercise they need. About: I've been so tremendously lucky to have several dogs come into my family over the years become my everything. No two a like in the slightest: mixed breeds from small to large, gentle and slow to rough and tumble. Each one through their own ways thought me just how important it is to understand the uniqueness in an animal, love it completely and care specifically for their individual needs. During walks and outdoor time, I'm mindful of surroundings, unfamiliar dogs, wildlife, weather conditions, and anything that could impact your pet's safety or comfort. I also have experience introducing dogs to one another thoughtfully and at a pace that keeps everyone comfortable. By recognizing signs of curiosity, playfulness, uncertainty, stress, or overstimulation, I can adjust interactions appropriately and help create positive, safe experiences for all pets involved.

 Monday-Thursday: I work 8 AM-4 PM just minutes from home, so I can stop by during lunch for potty breaks, walks, check-ins, and extra attention when needed.
 Fridays: I work remotely, which gives me even more flexibility for walks, playtime, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. Weekends: My schedule is open, making it easy to accommodate overnight stays, extended visits, and last-minute bookings.

 My partner is also a lifelong experienced animal lover and often spends her days off with me. Pets naturally gravitate toward her kind, playful energy with them. She provides an extra set of eyes, hands, and attention, which can be especially helpful for puppies, active dogs, and multi-pet households.  When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home that looks exactly as you left it. I come fully prepared with my own laptop, hotspot, meals, and daily essentials. I don't require Wi-Fi, snacks, streaming services, or household supplies. Most of my time is spent playing with, walking, cuddling, grooming, or simply spending quality time with your pet. I closely follow feeding schedules, household rules, training routines, and walking expectations. I also: • Bring in mail (just lmk)/take out trash • Vacuum pet hair (just lmk) • Keep food and water areas clean • Tidy up after myself • Wipe down surfaces I use • Handle pet-related cleanups • Respect all security measures and gates
 You'll never have surprise visitors, smoking, parties, or drinking in your home. I treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect someone to show mine.

About: Hello! My name is Alana and I have worked with animals for over a decade, beginning in high school. I worked for a veterinary clinic for 10 years until I moved into a different field. Even then, I still missed working with animals and enjoyed it so much that I ran my own animal rescue for 6 years. On top of a full time job, I work part time taking care of other people’s pets because I love it so much! I currently have three dogs in my home, Frank, a chihuahua mix, and Estelle, a Boston terrier mix, and Roxanne (Roxy) a lab/poodle mix. I also have a Maine Coon cat named Lenny who loves my dogs. I have worked with every dog breed out there, from tiny to large and special needs animals. I also consider myself a cat whisperer and reptile enthusiast. Please feel free to ask me any questions! I work full time from home, 7:30 - 4:00pm Monday through Friday. My dogs get potty breaks during that time and plenty (sometimes too much!) attention. I treat your pets as if they are part of my family. If I am not home and have to run out, the pet will be separated or crated from my own animals. I follow any instructions you give me to a T. I tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure I know everything about your pet.

About: My expertise and background lie in zoo and wildlife biology. For the past 10+ years, I’ve worked with a number of reputable animal and wildlife properties, including shelters, nature centers (e.g., Indiana Dunes State Park and Lyman Woods Interpretive Center), wildlife rehab. facilities (e.g., Willowbrook Wildlife Center), and zoological societies (e.g., Safari Lake Geneva). I have an unparalleled passion for animals of all breeds and species, possessing direct experience with the following: dogs, cats, rodents, herps, birds, malacostracans, arachnids, and various hooved mammals (horses, giraffes, camels, donkeys, zebras, antelope, etc.). Our family has also owned a diverse array of critters, great and small; my husband and I have been proud rat parents (very heartbreaking that they only live a few years) and are current rescue parents of a leopard gecko, bearded dragon, and albino Florida kingsnake! As a part-time sitter, I am well-versed in walking, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. For the time being, I am working through Rover part-time on my days off. I work every third day for 24 hours, so on my days off I am more than able to help pet sit or walk your dog throughout the entire time I am off. I am typically available even on short notice as long as it is a day I am not scheduled to work. I have a large townhouse with plenty of nearby walking trails and forest preserves, as well as a very large sectional for cuddles! Whatever your pet prefers, I can accommodate. From playing with their toys to getting extra treats, your dog will be loved just as if they were my own.
