Rain Or Shine After Work Dog Walks!
I currently have a cat of my own -Ozzy- and have cared for him for the past three years, giving me a lot of experience with feeding, keeping routines, playtime, litter box care, and paying attention to changes in behavior or mood. I previously worked at a pet store where I helped care for shelter cats up for adoption. This gave me the opportunity to work with cats with different personalities and comfort levels and taught me the importance of patience and letting each animal come to you at their own pace. In anddition, I’ve also cared for my neighbors' pets over the years, including cats, dogs, birds and rabbits while they were away. I grew up with dogs and have experience walking and caring for them, as well as growing up with hamsters and birds. While I'm not comfortable handling birds directly, I'm happy to help with basic care such as feeding and cage cleaning.

I know how important our pets are to us, and I want you to feel confident that yours is in caring, dependable hands while you're away. I'm a calm and attentive caregiver who takes the time to learn each pet's individual personality, routine, and needs. For check-in visits, I can provide fresh food and water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and oral medication (pills only—no injections). I’ll also send you a photo and update during each visit so you know how your pet is doing. I’m mindful that I’m also a guest in your home. I clean up after myself, keep your pet’s food, toys, and supplies where they belong, and leave things as I found them. I believe clear communication is an important part of building trust, so I’ll follow your instructions carefully and let you know if I notice anything unusual with your pet. At this time, I offer check-in visits and dog walking rather than boarding.

Schedule
Working late? I’ve got you! I work a full time office job, so my most reliable weekday availability is early mornings for check-in visits and after 4 pm for dog walks and check-ins. Rain or snow? No problem! I’m happy to get outside for your dog’s walk as long as conditions are safe for both me and your pup! I’m also available Saturday/Sunday mornings and afternoons, with evenings varying from week to week. Feel free to reach out even if your schedule doesn’t perfectly match my usual availability as I’m happy to see if we can make it work. For weekday mornings or earlier afternoon visits, I may be able to accommodate requests with a few days notice depending on the location. I’m especially flexible around the Downers Grove area. My goal is to find a schedule that works for both of us and, most importantly, keeps your pet happy and well cared for.

For dogs, it’s especially helpful to know their typical walking routine and how they do on a leash. Please also share any important information about medications, fears, triggers, or behaviors I should be aware of. If there’s anything unusual or specific about your pet’s care, don’t hesitate to tell me. I want to know all I can about your pet!
