“Anna has been amazing to coordinate with and scheduling drop in visits on our 4 month old puppy during our long work days. She is excellent with communicating with us and has made us feel completely safe with entrusting the care of our puppy to her. We will continue to use Anna for our future pet care needs.”

“Melanie took great care of my two cats while I was away. I came home to calm, happy cats who clearly got plenty of attention and consistency. Her updates were thoughtful and personal, and it was clear she understood their different personalities. When I got back, they were settled instead of anxious — even a little better behaved than usual. I really appreciated that level of care and awareness. I’ll absolutely be booking her again for future trips. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I volunteered at humane society in high school (to take care of dogs and cats and as a walker). I started dog sitting in the past year and it works great with my schedule. I don’t currently have a dog, so it’s nice to see their smiling faces! I work from home so it is easy for me to drop by for a walk, to let your pets out, for meet and greets and to be here for drop offs and pick ups. I do live in a one bedroom (no roommates, family or pets of my own). There isn’t a yard which is part of the reason I haven’t gotten a dog but I live super close to a park or if the dog is more energetic and needs a run, I’ll take them to closer off baseball field to play fetch. When I dog sit at people’s houses, I follow whatever schedule they ask me to (in regards to when and what to feed the pets, how often to walk, if one is crated, etc). I usually meet them at their house a few days before they leave to go over where everything is and to meet their pets.
“Isabel is fantastic! She is so loving and thorough, I trust her endlessly with our elderly and skittish kitties. She sends tons of pictures every visit and our cats are always giving her rave reviews. We feel so much more comfortable traveling when Isabel is taking care of our cats.”

About: I’ve grown up caring for all sorts of animals. I also foster cats/kittens and a dog. I also volunteer and work with both cats and dogs at my designated shelters so I have experience working with different sizes and temperaments. I have a strong love for all species of animals. I have experience training dogs with basic commands and socializing them. I currently am a part time nanny. So until 10am I am busy with that and then I have travel softball as well. I love animals so much and want to help people out by being a trusting individual to take care of their animals! I have experience with crating dogs as well as leashing dogs who may be so excited to walk that they are difficult to leash. I enjoy caring for animals in the safety of their own home so they are more comfortable.
“Olivia was amazing with my cat Charley. He was well taken care of! Loved the multiple pictures every visit, would definitely recommend her and use for future pet sitting needs!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own three dogs, including two Mastiffs and one Maltese. Caring for dogs with such different sizes, personalities, and needs has taught me how to adapt to each pet’s unique routine and temperament. From daily walks, feeding, grooming, playtime, and basic training to providing lots of love and attention, I understand the responsibility that comes with caring for pets. Friends and family have also trusted me to watch their pets, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own. As a nursing student with a strict schedule, I plan my time carefully to ensure pets receive the attention and care they deserve. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and on weekends. Whether your pet needs playtime, exercise, feeding, or companionship, I will make sure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away. As the owner of two Mastiffs and a Maltese, I am comfortable handling both large and small breeds. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, monitoring behavior, and creating a safe environment for every pet. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and special needs. My goal is to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away.

About: I have worked for two zoos, 2 emergency clinics and hospitals that focused on cat, dog and exotics from rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, geckos, tarantulas, ferrets, beardies, chinchillas, fennecs, prairie dogs, birds, axolotls, ect. All animals are my friends including your tarantula! I love working with animals and I love working with pet parents. I have a large reference sheet with people who swear by me and know that their furry (or scalie) family member is in caring, professional, loving hands. If you're looking for a trusted, well rounded, experienced vet tech, then I'm your sitter!! If you don't like leaving your baby home alone, ask me about boarding!! I board ***most*** exotics and cats! (I don't board dogs, birds, aquatics, or larger exotics, please ask me for details) I will talk to you first to make sure my schedule fits into your animals' needs. If my schedule does not match your pets' needs, then I will kindly decline your offer as your pets' needs come before me. I want to see you matched with the best sitter you can find. I will sit for your furry (or scalie) baby at your own home, so your rules are law! If your doggy needs to be crated, I will do that! If your kitty needs insulin shots, I have experience in that! Does your baby need 500 mLs of fluid? You're in the right hands! Does your flowers need to be watered? Tell me what a hydrangea looks like and I will water it!!

About: Hello, I have been pet sitting and dog walking since childhood. In my current home, I am not allowed to have pets, and I am really missing spending time with and caring for animals. I am so excited to play, walk, and care for your pet! :) I work full‑time, but I’m remote three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop‑ins, and consistent check‑ins throughout the day. I’m also available many weekends for pet care. Daily walks are already part of my routine, often more than once, so incorporating a furry companion into that rhythm feels natural. Whether it’s morning potty breaks, midday enrichment, or evening exercise, I make sure pets get reliable attention and a steady routine that keeps them comfortable and cared for. I pay close attention to detail and am naturally hypervigilant, which means your pet’s safety is always top of mind. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I maintain a calm, structured environment, follow your routines closely, and keep a close eye on their behavior and comfort. I’m intentional about creating a safe, clean, and low‑stress space so your pet feels secure, understood, and well cared for every step of the way.

“Lauren is incredible! She gave detailed updates, went above and beyond what we asked for in the care routine, and clearly sincerely cared for our very nervous cat. I'd give her ten stars if I could!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and truly treat every dog as if they were my own. I’ve raised and trained my Akita Inu from puppyhood and lovingly cared for my Jack Russell through their senior years. I’m comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs, and seniors, and I focus on calm, patient care that helps dogs feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I’m free all day, every day. This allows me to give pets my full attention without rushing or juggling other commitments. I’m able to follow your dog’s normal routine closely, whether that means regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training reinforcement, or quiet companionship. Because my schedule is flexible, I can easily adjust to puppies who need more frequent care, senior dogs who move at a slower pace, or pets who simply enjoy company throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping everything familiar and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely, maintain your pet’s routine, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of attention and reassurance. For dog walks in my neighborhood or yours, I use calm, confident handling and always prioritize safety. Walks are structured but enjoyable, tailored to your dog’s energy level, age, and comfort. I reinforce good leash manners, stay aware of surroundings, and make sure each walk is both stimulating and relaxing for your dog.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Darien
Caraline was absolutely outstanding. She was reliable, professional, communicative, and took excellent care of Luna while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Luna and treated her as if she were her own pet. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and caring, I highly recommend Caraline. Luna and I would gladly book with her again in the future. Thank you for everything! 🐾😊
Stephanie was the best! She treated our dogs like her own and played with them so much each time she came. We had never used Rover before and we are so glad that we picked Stephanie to watch them. We are so thankful to her for giving us peace of mind while we were gone and for keeping our dogs happy everyday! Highly recommend her to watch yours!

John is the best pet sitter we have had for Maxx. He is reliable, honest, friendly and great communicator. We could not have found a best sitter for drop in visits when we both have to go to work. He responds very promptly about inquiries and … our dog Maxx loves him already!

What a treat to have gotten help with our dog from Erin.. she was so sweet & kind, clearly caring & considerate of whatever we may need, & noticed and discrepancy I wrote that could've caused a timing issue. We loved that she was so easy to communicate with & it felt obvious right away that she had our (& our pup's) best interest at heart, ultimately going above and beyond so that my wife & I could really just not think twice about how Zara was doing while we continued on [without our dog] at our wedding venue for the rest of the evening. She was the absolute best, & even her husband joined to help her with the task we had asked her to help with just so things would go as smoothly as possible. If felt like family came by to swoop her up & care for her/help her transition away from partying it up at our wedding to hangin at home with her pal. Really couldn't be more grateful. Thank you guys so much for helping with this. It meant a lot to us!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Darien with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
