“John was wonderful with our energetic boxer puppy! I highly recommend him. When we came home, she greeted us with excitement and love as usual. Then she ran around our house looking for her new friend, John!”

“Nastassia did a great job and definitely would use her again. She sent pictures daily with a report. Our cat is feisty and not very welcoming with strangers, but I felt confident that she was in good hands. Nastassia is clearly experienced to manage our sassy cat, and I’m sure next time our cat would be happy to see her. Highly recommend Nastassia.”

About: Having dogs my whole life means I've pretty much seen it all. I'm comfortable with whatever your dog needs, whether that’s the patience and consistency required to help raise and train a puppy, or the quiet, gentle care needed to keep a senior dog comfortable. Right now, I'm looking for part-time dog sitting jobs before I start a full-time position this coming December. My schedule is wide open and flexible from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays, making me perfect for midday walks or check-ins. I’ve regularly dog sat for my neighbors whenever they travel or need an extra hand. They trust me to handle everything from feeding and walking to keeping their dogs safe and comfortable in their own routine.

About: I’ve had experience with dogs since I was eight years old! From owning a dog to working at a dog-grooming shop at 14, I have experience with both small and big dogs. Especially being in college, I get withdrawal being away from my dog, so this is free therapy for me! I am home for the summer from college, so I am available most of the day! I am very flexible with time and location! I’m in Brookfield until September. Unfortunately, I cannot offer pet sitting services in my own home because my dog doesn’t do well with other dogs, but I am more than comfortable pet sitting in your home!

About: Dogs are my favorite, cats come in 2nd. I've rescued 2 dogs in my 70 some years. Retired and widowed now with plenty of time on my hands. Give me a call. I'm mostly available from early am to early pm. 7 days a week. Retired and widowed with plenty of time on my hands. Give me a call. Currently no pets in my home but have had a few dogs and 1 cat in the past. Will follow your instructions. I'm honest and dependable, give me a call!
About: I am a life-long dog lover, and current Pomeranian owner (Pom-mom). I have a fenced in yard and live near a park with a cute walking path. Your pup will be comfortable in my home and can sleep wherever you'd like, whether that be in his/her crate, in a spare room of mine, or on my couch!I will care for your dog as if they were my own and make sure his or her stay with me is an enjoyable and anxiety-free as possible. I also have experience fostering and have fostered senior dogs with special needs. I work from home as does my husband so someone is always home with your pup. We can follow any schedule your dog is used to. We have no kids, so for those pups that don’t do too well with young ones, we’re a perfect option. Our Pom is dog loving and plays well with other dogs. I would like for them to meet prior if possible to ensure both dog’s get along well.
About: I volunteered at an animal shelter throughout high school and had two dogs of my own. My first dog, Daisy, was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I then fostered and adopted Howie, a Chiweenie, in 2020. Both have since crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, and I miss them every day. I have regularly dog sat for neighbors, friends, and even professors in college. I love all animals of all shapes and sizes and would love to take care of your furry friend! I am in the Chicago area before I move to Iowa at the end of the summer. I don’t have any other commitments and could spend all my time caring for your dogs and/or cats! I am available for a range of services from dog-walking to staying overnight! Whether you just need someone to come check in on your pet a few times a day or need someone to play with them all day long, I’m your girl.
“Max was very helpful when I booked him last minute. He was on time for all of his visits, took great photos of our elderly dog and was extremely gently and kind. He definitely has a special touch for animals!”

About: I am very caring and compassionate for animals and pets. I have a cat of my own named Bruni and he is my best friend. Attentive and reliable pet care is assured with me as your pet sitter! I work as a teacher so my morning and afternoons are busy up until 3:30pm. However, I am available after those hours. I do have days off due to breaks, for example, winter break, where I can be reliable all day during those times. I have a cat of my own that I attend to 24/7. Therefore, I am very familiar with pets’ needs. I will assure you great communication and punctuality.
About: I have had the privilege of loving and caring for dog(s) since I was 5 years old. I have raised dogs since they were 6 week old puppies until their final days. I am organized with medication distribution if needed and can follow any cute quirks your baby may need to have that extra attention to detail for them to feel safe and loved. I work full time Monday to Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm. I am available evening hours during the work week and all day on weekends! I have a 3 year old Shetland Sheepdog named Bowie. His brother, Milo, passed away last year, who was my baby since he was 6 weeks old. I would love to take your dog for walks, feed, play, and spend time with your companion. I believe in positive reinforcement for teaching dogs tricks and behavior training.
About: I have been around dogs everyday since I was 10. I also have experience working with foster puppies through the Chicagoland Lab Rescue so I am comfortable with both young and old dogs. I'm currently working part-time with extremely flexible hours so I am available to help out pretty much all day during the week and on weekends as well. I have a lot of experience crating, feeding, administering medicine, and walking dogs for family and friends. I'm extremely reliable and can guarantee that your loved one will be receiving the best care while you are away from home.
“Amanda was the first rover experience I had; she has a lot of dog experience and was very friendly! I booked her very last minute and she was willing to meet with me and have flexibility for my needs. She came the next day to care for our new puppy, sent notes, and was willing to answer any of my questions about our first day apart from the puppy. I look forward to using her dog boarding services in the future.”

“Ann watched our kitten, Cosmo, for the second time in two months. Once again, she did a great job. Always on time, very communicative, engaged with Cosmo who really enjoys hanging out with her. Complete trust in Ann with our fur baby!”

About: I’m an animal lover and long time cat mom to rescues. I’ve been pet sitting since I’ve been a teen. Most of my pet sitting jobs have come from families that I babysit for or referrals. I have amazing references. I’m comfortable with all dog breeds and sizes. I enjoy long walks and nature. I’m trustworthy, reliable, dedicated, loving and caring. I treat everyone’s pets as if they were my own. I take pride in walking, feeding, and providing endless affection to all pets. I always provide extra love and care for my clients fur-babies! I have no problem collecting mail or packages, tending to the garden or flowers, and keeping the house tidy. If given the opportunity to care for your pet and/or Home, I will provide the best care possible.
“Kristin went above and beyond taking care of my cats medications while I was traveling. My parents were there as well but cannot manage the medications. They enjoyed Kristin’s company very much and couldn’t say enough nice things about her. She even contacted my vet with questions, which I really appreciated. Kristin stopped over to meet and discuss details before the trip which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She has a great way about her. I highly recommend Kristin.”

About: I have taken care of pets for the last 20+ years on top of owning my own! Doing this on the side to help animal lovers alike! Let me create a bond and space that feels like their home away from their home & parents ❤️ I also worked as a pre vet student in a couple animal hospitals in college so have extensive experience. I am available during the day, nights, and weekends depending on the needs of the client! Can be flexible and work with your availability as it is! I want pets to feel as comfortable as possible when being cared for. Give me as much detail as possible so I can do my best work!

We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!

Tamara dropped in to check on our dog while we were out of town for a week. She came to our home twice a day and sometimes 3 to check on our dog. She was amazing and we felt our pet was well cared for while we were gone. Tamara sent us pictures and videos at every visit. We could tell how much she cared for our dog. I highly recommend her and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Arianna was awesome! We were in need of a dog sitter for our two dogs after a last minute cancelation. We were so luck to have found her. She was punctual, professional and very kind. She met us and our dogs beforehand which put us at ease. When stopping by for the drop in she provided us with pictures and updates letting us know how everything was going. If we are in need of a sitter again, we hope to use Arianna. We definitely recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Countryside with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
