Zulema has walked out dogs in the past and taken care of our kitties while we were out of town and is always so incredibly helpful and kind. She goes the extra mile every single time, and the pups and kitties respond very well to her! I couldn’t recommend her enough <3

About: I'm an art history professor at the University of Chicago which means I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop in visits. I enjoy running and love taking active dogs for a jog around the neighborhood. I really love exploring the outdoors with my dogs, so if your pup is up for it, we'll go for a hike too! I've lived with dogs my entire life and have experience with very young pups to geriatrics and am comfortable administering medication. I have one smallish and one large dog at home and one cat, but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I also have experience with exotics and small animals and have cared for geckos, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas...even wildlife! I volunteer as a resident animal keeper at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center. I'm an all around animal lover, excited to meet your pets! I currently work from home a few days a week and would love to break up my day walking your dog! I’m happy to take high energy dogs for runs as well - just ask! I understand schedules and routines are very important to our pets. I will always do my best to stick to as close to your regular routine as I can when staying with your pets.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and the proud parent of Rudy, my Husky (so yes... I am fluent in 'sass,' expert-level at managing zoomies, and I don't fear a little fur!). For years, I’ve been the 'go-to' pet person for my friends and family. Whether it’s long-term house sitting, popping in for midday care, or offering a safe environment to leave their pets while they travel my inner circle has trusted me with their homes and their best friends for as long as I can remember. In fact, it was their constant encouragement and recommendations that finally led me to join Rover! Because I work from home, I offer a level of flexibility and reliability that's hard to find. I treat every drop-in and walk as the highlight of your pet’s day. I’m not just a visitor; I’m a dedicated caregiver who treats your pet with the same attention to detail and love that you do. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I will be punctual for drop-ins/walks, spend quality time with each pet, and adjust based on your instructions. Trust is the most important part of this relationship. I know it’s a big deal to invite someone into your home, which is why clear communication is my priority. I am a stickler for following instructions—from making sure the door is double-locked to ensuring your pet gets their exact medication dosage. I’m punctual, respectful of your space, and I’m a firm believer that there’s no such thing as 'too many' photo updates! You’ll get detailed check-ins so you can see exactly how happy and safe your best friend is while you're away.

About: I have always been an animal lover and grew up with horses, dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals and their needs. I have 1 small dog named Ben that I’ve had for 10 years so I understand the care that’s needed every day from walks to attention. I work a full time but flexible job that allows me to take breaks throughout the day for walks/care as needed and am predominately home but do leave for a few hours on some weekdays. I own my own house in Riverside with a big fenced in backyard. We keep everything put away and organized so there are no worries of curious noses getting in to anything

About: As a cat parent myself, I like to make sure my little one is taken care for when I step out. They all need their space but it’s important that they know someone is there to take care of them. I can be that person giving them space while also providing head scratches when they need it! I currently work part time on the weekends so I would say that I have more flexibility during the week to look after your pets. I make sure all pets are supervised, comfortable, and cared for with plenty of attention, fresh water, and a calm environment. If provided, I would make sure to follow specific instructions to ensure that your pets receive the best care possible.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and truly understand how different each one can be. I raised a dog from a puppy, cared for a senior rescue dog, and even had a rabbit—so I’ve learned to be patient, gentle, and attentive to different needs. I currently have a Doberman, so I’m also used to handling larger, high-energy dogs. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits really well into my routine right now. I’m back home for the summer, so my schedule is very open. I have time to give pets the attention they need—whether that’s walks, or check-ins. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so making space for them in my day feels natural and easy. When I do walks or check-ins at a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, happy, and relaxed in their own space. I follow any care instructions closely—like feeding schedules, potty routines, or play preferences—and always give plenty of attention and affection. I treat their home with respect and make sure everything’s clean and secure before I leave.

Lauren was absolutely amazing watching my dogs for three days! From the moment we connected, she was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly loved on the entire time. She followed all instructions perfectly and treated them like her own. When I returned, everything was clean, organized, and my pups were calm and content — which says everything. It’s not easy trusting someone with your fur babies, but Lauren exceeded every expectation. I would 100% book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate care. Thank you, Lauren! 🐾💛

About: If you have an anxious dog or if you’re an anxious dog parent, then I’m probably the sitter for you. I have a fur baby of my own, my 1 year old beagle Pete, and he is an extremely energetic, mischievous, stubborn, and anxious little guy. I’ve raised Pete since he was 11 weeks old, so I know all there is to know about puppies and take caring for them very seriously. As someone who follows a pretty structured routine for an anxious dog, I know how important it is to stick to schedules and make sure pets are getting enough walks, enrichment, playtime, love, and attention to help them feel safe and settled while their parent is away. I’ve personally paid people a lot of money to care for Pete because I ask for a lot (literally down to leaving instructions to keep Gilmore Girls on the TV because he likes it lol), so trust me when I say there is nothing “too much” or “too specific” that you can ask of me. I completely understand how important routines and comfort are for our pets because I’m the exact same way with my own dog. I also have experience administering medications and caring for dogs after neutering and medical issues. Pete has dealt with prostate issues, so I’m comfortable handling medication schedules and paying close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy levels, and routines. It’s also worth mentioning that Pete, being a beagle, eats EVERYTHING and keeps me on my toes at all times. Because of that, I’ve become incredibly diligent, patient, observant, and adaptable. Some dogs are calm and cuddly, while others need more play, structure, patience, or stimulation and I’m comfortable adapting to all kinds of personalities and needs. As a dog mom myself I know how reassuring it is to get updates while you’re away, so I’ll happily communicate as much as you’d like. Expect lots of updates, photos, videos, and honest communication. I’m also never afraid to ask questions if I need clarification because I’d rather do things correctly than make assumptions. Most importantly, I want people to know I’m dependable and trustworthy. If you tell me your dog needs a 30 minute walk, we’re doing a full 30 minute walk. If your dog eats from a snuffle mat, has a specific bedtime routine, or can’t be alone after dark, I’m going to follow those instructions exactly as asked. I know how hard it is to trust someone else with your baby, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Right now I’m focusing on walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays in clients’ homes rather than bringing additional pets into my own home environment. Pet care already plays a big role in my daily routine, so I’m very comfortable maintaining structured schedules, walks, feeding routines, potty breaks, enrichment, and consistent care. I’m available throughout the day and evening Thursday through Sunday, and I also offer weekday availability Monday through Wednesday during early mornings and evenings. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I totally get how important trust and consistency is when someone is caring for your pet (I am that person that has given our dog sitter a 4 pager play by play of my puppy’s routine lol!). I’m very attentive to routines, safety, and following owner instructions closely, whether that involves feeding schedules, crate routines, medication, walks, enrichment, or household rules. I always prioritize keeping pets calm, comfortable, and secure in their familiar environment and will communicate regularly with updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am so diligent with my own fur baby when it comes to structure but also play time and potty time- so when I say I’m going to ensure your pet has all those things I mean it! At this time, I focus on care in clients’ homes and individualized attention rather than bringing additional pets into my own home environment (my fur baby is definitely an only child lol).

Natalia was absolutely amazing. From our first message to her first meeting my dog and through her multiple drop-in visits while I was in the city for work, I was really impressed with her responsiveness and care for Archie. I rescued him a few months ago and work remotely, so this was the first time he'd had someone who wasn't me come to visit him, and he immediately warmed to her and was excited to see her. Natalia was prompt, followed all instructions clearly, and was great about letting me know when her visits started and sendig pictures of their time together. I will definitely be using Natalia again and can't recommend her enough!

About: Whenever someone needs their pets to be taken care of, I’m always the one they turn to first because they know I love animals and am very responsible as I have been caring for animals since I was 7. I’ve always loved dogs especially but where I lived at the time, since they didn’t allow them I cared for smaller pets such as rodents and they were able to live out to their expected lifespans. I’m not afraid of unusual pets or even aggressive animals, I always try to make them feel safe and befriend them as time goes on. I always believe in giving animals chances. I got a dog from someone who couldn’t care for him anymore and he’s been thriving with me. Learning how to use the bathroom outside and catching on to new tricks very easily. I try working with him everyday when it comes to his tricks but if not, we just spend time together, play, and go on walks. I’m really into training animals and I find it very rewarding. I also do grooming on my own animals that I currently have and past animals, I bathe them, cut their nails, and even cut their hair. I’m experienced in understanding dog body language and knowing when something is uncomfortable. I’m also knowledgeable in taking care of senior dogs and different methods of giving medication even to the sternest dogs! So I’m working part time at a pet store currently and am looking to get back into my services slowly but surely (you can read past reviews!) I don’t have set days where I’m scheduled to work, so whenever I can squeeze in some time with other pups I’d love the chance to! I genuinely miss the work I do and with being semi-disabled, I want to be able to make this my full time job again in the future. If I ever get back into pet sitting in my own home, it is very much gated all the way around. I would be keeping my eyes on the pups 24/7 and not leaving them alone so there would be no chance for them to get into some trouble. The fences are only about 4 feet tall so if I do watch larger dogs that are known for trying to get out, they will stay leashed at all times but still have freedom (I would have a long lead for them.) I would mostly be one on one with a dog if I am watching them in my home and not take on multiple dogs at once (at this moment.) If I am caring for a fur baby in a pet parents home, I would make sure I do everything by their instructions and under the schedule they have provided. I would let them know ahead of time if it doesn’t align with my schedule! I am a helicopter dog mom and have a camera for my pup, so if a pet parent has anything similar in their home it would not be an issue for me! Safety is always important and if that helps them keep their peace of mind that is fine!

About: I’ve owned two Pitbulls who I hold very close to my heart and have dog sat for friends, family members and neighbors. Some dog breeds I’ve worked with are Pitbulls, Retrievers, mini Aussie doodles, labradoodles, and standard poodles. I am currently Dog/cat CPR certified. I’m currently working part time and taking classes at COD. My hours are: Monday 6:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday:6:00am-3:00pm, Wednesday: 6:00am-3:00pm, Thursday: 11:30am-1:00pm. I can do some Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well some current days I’ll be gone are July 17-19, and August 21-24 but other than that if you need help on Friday, Saturday or a Sunday please don’t hesitate to reach out. When it comes to taking care of pets - I care for them like they are my own. I make sure they are well cared for, fed, brushed, and I monitor overall healthiness. I report any changes in health or energy to their family. I’ve also given my clients a text letting them know I’ve arrived and when I’ve left, as well as a photo/video updates of their dog. When a client’s dog has medicine - I am skilled at helping administer the medicine so dogs feel comfortable. I monitor food and water change water and add when necessary or according to schedule. I clean up if there happened to be an accident such as potty or throw up, properly disposing of waste. I provide walks for exercise and believe in positive reinforcement. Play time is important so I provide games - such as chase or catch - to keep their minds and body active. I make sure their paws are clean after play/walks and wipe their paws when they come in the house. When I leave, I do safety checks to make sure I’ve properly lock up such as double checking to make sure the door is locked and if there’s a gate double checking to make sure the gate is closed and locked.

About: I’ve been working with animals professionally since I was 19 — I’m now 26. Over the years, I’ve worked as a vet assistant, a professional groomer, and at a pet store, gaining hands-on experience with animals of all kinds. These days, my main focus is boarding, walking, and house sitting — and it’s something I genuinely love doing. What sets my care apart is the family-style experience I offer. When your dog stays with me, they aren’t just being watched — they’re becoming part of our daily life. It’s usually me, my young son, and my partner Brian. We go on nature walks, play outside, and include your dog in everything like they’re part of the crew. This isn’t just pet sitting — it’s a second home. I’ve found that so many dogs (and their humans) are looking for that feeling of safety, love, and belonging — even if they haven’t put it into words yet. That’s exactly what I try to create here. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities — including shy rescues, high-energy pups, and seniors. I’m trained in animal behavior, have my own vehicle, and can adapt to your dog’s specific needs and temperament. 🚗 Please note: For boarding in my home, dogs must be comfortable around kids and okay with cats, since we do have both. I want everyone (human and animal) to feel safe and relaxed. Whether your pup needs playtime, quiet time, cuddles, or space, I always meet them where they are — with patience, love, and respect. I work from home part time, so your fur baby will fit in perfectly with my schedule. I am looking for something to do that will occupy more of my time, and what better way than to spend it with a new furry friend to love?! I have a fenced yard and a friendly cat who is more like a dog. I can keep him separate if ever needed. My house is a little over 1,300 sq ft so there’s plenty of space. If you need your pet to be crated I am comfortable with that. As well as if any medication is needed to be given or frequent walks. I will always respect the home of the pet and owner. Just point me where I need to go with some guidance regarding you fue baby’s routine, you are in great hands!

About: I'm Catalina and I would love to host your furry family! I work from home full time and can give plenty of attention (and potty breaks). My 6 year old bulldog is a great babysitter. I will take care of your pet like they were my own. My favorite part of hosting is watching a dog sun bathe in the backyard or seeing a cat fall asleep listening to their favorite music. Hopefully we’re a good match so I can send you the funniest photos of your pet during their stay! Extended stays are welcome! I work from home and have a fenced in yard. I am able to take my own dog outside several times a day for potty breaks and we live next to a nice park we walk through often. I have a very friendly Bulldog to keep your dog company. My fenced in yard ensures they can run around all they want. We have plenty of balls and toys they can share. We have a nice deck where they can lounge in the sun! We can keep cats and dogs separate as we have many different levels in the home.
