About: I am a grad student in education and just moved to Chicago from Detroit, and sadly my lab and kitties had to stay in Michigan due to my living situation. I've taken care of my dogs, and cats my whole life. I love all animals, and have spent time in the state of Michigan being a dog walker for a small local dog walking business. I have house sat for a few different cats along the way as well. From small-large dogs i'm comfortable around them all! I can be available for the summer Monday-Sunday, Come august 26th, My availability will be MWF and saturday/sunday. Mornings-Evenings I can be available at anytime. I always make sure to see if the owners have any specfic instrutions first and foremost. I will always greet the dog/cat first in calm manner, have them sniff me, say hi, get used to me. Then we get ready for a walk, on walks I'm extremely aware on my surroundings and what could happen or not happen. Water bowls are always full, food at the time the owners said. I make sure to make friends with the animals, and their safety/comfort comes first and foremost. This all will go with cats as well! I tend to be more cautious with the cats so they know i'm there to take care of them.

About: I had a husky/German shepherd mix as a child and always had cats growing up. In my 20s, I had a retired greyhound. I adopted my current pup, a lab mix named Murphy, during the pandemic and he is my best friend. I work from home 3 days a week. Murphy mostly naps all day and I take him out for 4-6 potty breaks a day and we walk at least 2 miles per day. I take care of my pup daily and take him out on regular walks and potty breaks. I have an apartment but there is plenty of space for us to roam about comfortably. I allow my pup the comfort of roaming about the apartment freely. I would allow your dog the same comfort. If your dog prefers a crate, I have space to set that up.

My cats, who are seniors aged thirteen and twenty, have special needs, and she did an excellent job of feeding them and administering medication to one of them twice a day. About: Working in the animal welfare field for a few years now has allowed me to obtain lots of skills other sitters may not obtain. Need to give your pet medication as you are gone? No problem for this experienced veterinary technician! Have an additional set of ease, for you know that your pet is with a sitter that has been trained in first aid, CPR, and even anesthesia! I know what to look for when your pet is staying outside of home. With time I have for my online college courses, I can have the best of both worlds. Sitting your pet while also furthering my education simultaneously. Your pet will truly enjoy my two sided fully fenced backyard! Lots of room to run around and chase a ball or chill on the patio if wanted. Fortunately, pets are allowed on my couch as well, allowing them to snuggle and have comfortablity in my home.

About: My family and I have owned dogs for my entire life, there has never been a day in my life that I have not had a dog around, from small dogs to medium and large sized dogs. I am used to pets ranging from passive and relaxed, to dogs with anxiety and possession, and I find the unique ways to interact with each pet respectively. I have a 12lb Cockapoo, Badger, who I also have with me for any pet that I will be boarding or doing doggie daycare for. It’s always nice for them to have fellow furry friends to spend time with! I am used to different harnesses and leashes and feel comfortable working with dogs of all ages and sizes. Someone is home at all time of day, so when I’m hosting your fur-iend for boarding or doggie daycare, they never will be without snuggles, playtime, and potty breaks! When I stay at your house with your pet, I do work out of the house Monday - Friday so I am gone from 6am-4pm. I know that can be a long time for some pets, so I like to be open about my schedule in advance. Having experience with dogs who like to get in to all of the things they aren't supposed to, I have learned how to pet-proof my house by keeping trash cans closed, picking up food/items that pets should not get in to, and keeping security cameras in my unit to check on the pets' safety while I am out of the house.

About: I'm a teacher who is on summer break and I will have a lot of time to care for your pet! I have had dogs my entire life. I have experience training puppies and caring for senior dogs. I adopted my first dog when I was 15 years old and she my my companion for 15 years. I eventually adopted a senior dog named Angus and he was my companion for 5 1/2 years. They were both amazing dogs who helped me learn a lot about animal care. I hope to spend my time this summer hanging out with and caring for your pet! I will be available after June 3 every day of the week. I do not work during the summer regularly, so I have a lot of time to spend with your pet! I will be unavailable from 9:00am-11:00am Monday-Thursday during the month of June while I teach virtually. I will also be unavailable from July 27-August 5. I currently have no pets, so my home could be your pet's home away from home! I have a fenced in yard that is very secure. I would love to take your dog on walks in my quiet neighborhood. Also, there is a nearby forest preserve that your dog would love to visit.

About: I’ve grown up raising both dogs and cats, I’ve learned patience, love, and care, following exact instructions given. I pay close attention to their behavior to better understand them, never yelling, always understanding their boundaries. Every day, I feed my kitties, clean their bowls and water fountain, brushing them, clipping their nails, and cleaning out their litter boxes when needed. My dog passed away, but I would walk him every day, feed him, brush him, cuddle him. I spend all my time with them, always keep them in my sight, paying attention to their behavior and what they show me that they need at that time.

About: I’ve owned two Pitbulls who I hold very close to my heart and have dog sat for friends, family members and neighbors. Some dog breeds I’ve worked with are Pitbulls, Retrievers, mini Aussie doodles, labradoodles, and standard poodles. I am currently Dog/cat CPR certified. I’m currently working part time and taking classes at COD. My hours are: Monday 6:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday:6:00am-3:00pm, Wednesday: 6:00am-3:00pm, Thursday: 11:30am-1:00pm. I can do some Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well some current days I’ll be gone are July 17-19, and August 21-24 but other than that if you need help on Friday, Saturday or a Sunday please don’t hesitate to reach out. When it comes to taking care of pets - I care for them like they are my own. I make sure they are well cared for, fed, brushed, and I monitor overall healthiness. I report any changes in health or energy to their family. I’ve also given my clients a text letting them know I’ve arrived and when I’ve left, as well as a photo/video updates of their dog. When a client’s dog has medicine - I am skilled at helping administer the medicine so dogs feel comfortable. I monitor food and water change water and add when necessary or according to schedule. I clean up if there happened to be an accident such as potty or throw up, properly disposing of waste. I provide walks for exercise and believe in positive reinforcement. Play time is important so I provide games - such as chase or catch - to keep their minds and body active. I make sure their paws are clean after play/walks and wipe their paws when they come in the house. When I leave, I do safety checks to make sure I’ve properly lock up such as double checking to make sure the door is locked and if there’s a gate double checking to make sure the gate is closed and locked.

About: I love dogs. I regularly foster dogs from the humane society and I have experience taking care of old and sick dogs as well as puppies. I live in Hawaii 9 months of the year, so I am not always on Rover, but I do keep my calendar updated and love to watch dogs while I'm here and my boyfriend is working full time I always wake up early to feed my dogs, I am not working full time, and I love to play and interact with dogs all day, and also to take them on walks. Some days that's my only exercise honestly! Lol We love to go on walks. My neighborhood is great for dog walking. My home is very dog friendly with lots of different sleeping possibilities for pets. I have separate areas for feeding dogs so no one is competing for food.

About: I'm an art history professor at the University of Chicago which means I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop in visits. I enjoy running and love taking active dogs for a jog around the neighborhood. I really love exploring the outdoors with my dogs, so if your pup is up for it, we'll go for a hike too! I've lived with dogs my entire life and have experience with very young pups to geriatrics and am comfortable administering medication. I have one smallish and one large dog at home and one cat, but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I also have experience with exotics and small animals and have cared for geckos, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas...even wildlife! I volunteer as a resident animal keeper at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center. I'm an all around animal lover, excited to meet your pets!
