“Max was very helpful when I booked him last minute. He was on time for all of his visits, took great photos of our elderly dog and was extremely gently and kind. He definitely has a special touch for animals!”

About: I am very caring and compassionate for animals and pets. I have a cat of my own named Bruni and he is my best friend. Attentive and reliable pet care is assured with me as your pet sitter! I work as a teacher so my morning and afternoons are busy up until 3:30pm. However, I am available after those hours. I do have days off due to breaks, for example, winter break, where I can be reliable all day during those times. I have a cat of my own that I attend to 24/7. Therefore, I am very familiar with pets’ needs. I will assure you great communication and punctuality.
About: Hi! I’m Thais, a reliable and experienced caregiver based in Forest Park. With over 7 years of experience working closely with families, I’m very responsible, attentive, and trustworthy—qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding routines, playtime, and overnight or date-night care. I always follow your pet’s routine closely and provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and am available for evenings, weekends, and last-minute bookings. I’d love to help take care of your pet! Right now, I have a very flexible schedule, which means I can dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets during the week and weekends. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day drop-ins, or overnight stays, I’m available to adapt to your pet’s routine. Pet care fits perfectly into my life, I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel happy and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they get the attention, comfort, and exercise they need. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they are always safe, comfortable, and supervised. I keep a clean, pet-friendly space with no hazards, and I follow each pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime. I always make sure they have fresh water, cozy spots to rest, and lots of love and attention. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat their space and pets with the same respect I would my own. I carefully follow any routines or instructions provided, from walks and meal times to medication or special care needs. My goal is to make every pet feel happy and relaxed while giving owners peace of mind knowing their furry friend is in caring, trustworthy hands.
About: As a cat parent myself, I like to make sure my little one is taken care for when I step out. They all need their space but it’s important that they know someone is there to take care of them. I can be that person giving them space while also providing head scratches when they need it! I currently work part time on the weekends so I would say that I have more flexibility during the week to look after your pets. I make sure all pets are supervised, comfortable, and cared for with plenty of attention, fresh water, and a calm environment. If provided, I would make sure to follow specific instructions to ensure that your pets receive the best care possible.
About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
“Tamara dropped in to check on our dog while we were out of town for a week. She came to our home twice a day and sometimes 3 to check on our dog. She was amazing and we felt our pet was well cared for while we were gone. Tamara sent us pictures and videos at every visit. We could tell how much she cared for our dog. I highly recommend her and would not hesitate to hire her again.”

About: I'm an art history professor at the University of Chicago which means I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop in visits. I enjoy running and love taking active dogs for a jog around the neighborhood. I really love exploring the outdoors with my dogs, so if your pup is up for it, we'll go for a hike too! I've lived with dogs my entire life and have experience with very young pups to geriatrics and am comfortable administering medication. I have one smallish and one large dog at home and one cat, but I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I also have experience with exotics and small animals and have cared for geckos, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas...even wildlife! I volunteer as a resident animal keeper at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center. I'm an all around animal lover, excited to meet your pets! I currently work from home a few days a week and would love to break up my day walking your dog! I’m happy to take high energy dogs for runs as well - just ask! I understand schedules and routines are very important to our pets. I will always do my best to stick to as close to your regular routine as I can when staying with your pets.

“NaBeela took care of my 2 senior cats in my home while I was out of the country. She was kind, an awesome communicator, and easy to work with. Thank you for taking such great care of things and giving me peace of mind while I was away!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and the proud parent of Rudy, my Husky (so yes... I am fluent in 'sass,' expert-level at managing zoomies, and I don't fear a little fur!). For years, I’ve been the 'go-to' pet person for my friends and family. Whether it’s long-term house sitting, popping in for midday care, or offering a safe environment to leave their pets while they travel my inner circle has trusted me with their homes and their best friends for as long as I can remember. In fact, it was their constant encouragement and recommendations that finally led me to join Rover! Because I work from home, I offer a level of flexibility and reliability that's hard to find. I treat every drop-in and walk as the highlight of your pet’s day. I’m not just a visitor; I’m a dedicated caregiver who treats your pet with the same attention to detail and love that you do. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I will be punctual for drop-ins/walks, spend quality time with each pet, and adjust based on your instructions. Trust is the most important part of this relationship. I know it’s a big deal to invite someone into your home, which is why clear communication is my priority. I am a stickler for following instructions—from making sure the door is double-locked to ensuring your pet gets their exact medication dosage. I’m punctual, respectful of your space, and I’m a firm believer that there’s no such thing as 'too many' photo updates! You’ll get detailed check-ins so you can see exactly how happy and safe your best friend is while you're away.
“Justice is fantastic and took great care of my dog! I really appreciated the updates and her attention to detail. It made the whole experience stress-free and I would highly recommend her!”

“Alonso was great and friendly! He came and met our pups before the drop-in to get acquainted with them and their routine. He was on the and sent photos to give us happy updates. We plan on continuing to have him help take care of our pups.”

About: I LOVE puppies, especially cute ones... I have lived with dogs for my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been sitting and housesitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since I began my undergrad at UIC. I also love running. If you have an active dog that needs extra exercise, I'd be happy to take them along. Just let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.
“Zulema has walked out dogs in the past and taken care of our kitties while we were out of town and is always so incredibly helpful and kind. She goes the extra mile every single time, and the pups and kitties respond very well to her! I couldn’t recommend her enough <3”

About: I had a husky/German shepherd mix as a child and always had cats growing up. In my 20s, I had a retired greyhound. I adopted my current pup, a lab mix named Murphy, during the pandemic and he is my best friend. I work from home 3 days a week. Murphy mostly naps all day and I take him out for 4-6 potty breaks a day and we walk at least 2 miles per day. I take care of my pup daily and take him out on regular walks and potty breaks. I have an apartment but there is plenty of space for us to roam about comfortably. I allow my pup the comfort of roaming about the apartment freely. I would allow your dog the same comfort. If your dog prefers a crate, I have space to set that up.
About: I love dogs. I regularly foster dogs from the humane society and I have experience taking care of old and sick dogs as well as puppies. I live in Hawaii 9 months of the year, so I am not always on Rover, but I do keep my calendar updated and love to watch dogs while I'm here and my boyfriend is working full time I always wake up early to feed my dogs, I am not working full time, and I love to play and interact with dogs all day, and also to take them on walks. Some days that's my only exercise honestly! Lol We love to go on walks. My neighborhood is great for dog walking. My home is very dog friendly with lots of different sleeping possibilities for pets. I have separate areas for feeding dogs so no one is competing for food.

Lexi is amazing! I was fortunate to find her in a last-minute situation, and she enthusiastically took on three drop-in visits with less than 24 hours’ notice. My timid rescue beagle warmed up to her immediately, she followed very specific instructions perfectly, and I will definitely be using her services again!

We had a great experience withAaron who did a few weekday drop in visits for us! He was very thorough during the intake and took the time to do a meet-and-greet to make sure it was a good fit for everyone, which we really appreciated. During the drop-in visits, Aaron took our pup to a local dog park (with our permission of course) where she got plenty of exercise and socialization—and had a great time. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. We’d definitely book with Aaron again!

Kirsten is so kind and takes such great care of our little puppy while we are at work during the week!! She is very responsive and gives great updates. Our little Doc loves her, and we are so happy we found a really reliable and trustworthy person to watch our pup ❤️

I would give Amber 6 stars if I could! I left my dog Odin and my cat Freija with her. This was the first time either has been with a sitter or away from me for this long. They immediately felt her warm, loving energy and were completely comfortable with her. Amber is consistent and responsive whenever I would reach out for additional information. I can't say enough great things or recommend her more highly. If you're looking for a sitter and worried about finding the right one, look no further!
