About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
“Tamara dropped in to check on our dog while we were out of town for a week. She came to our home twice a day and sometimes 3 to check on our dog. She was amazing and we felt our pet was well cared for while we were gone. Tamara sent us pictures and videos at every visit. We could tell how much she cared for our dog. I highly recommend her and would not hesitate to hire her again.”

About: I have been a lifelong pet owner and understand that pets are truly part of the family. I share my home with my partner, and together we have years of experience caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Our family currently includes two small dogs and a cat, and pet care is an important part of our everyday life. What sets us apart is the personal attention and understanding we bring to each pet. We take the time to learn each pet’s unique personality, daily habits, comfort level, and what helps them feel safe and happy in a new environment. We have experience with feeding routines, walks, playtime, enrichment, and recognizing when a pet needs extra patience, comfort, or quiet time. We understand that every pet is different, whether they are energetic and playful, more relaxed, shy, or simply prefer their own space. We are an LGBTQ+ household and believe every family member — human or furry — deserves to feel safe, respected, and cared for. Our goal is to provide dependable, loving care and give pet parents peace of mind knowing their pets are welcomed into a caring home and treated with the same attention and affection we provide our own. I work full-time during the day from 9:30 AM–5:30 PM, and my partner has the same schedule. While we are away, pets have a consistent routine, and once we are home, they receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care. Whoever arrives home first is ready to greet the pets, provide potty breaks, meals, playtime, and any attention they need. My job is only about 10 minutes from home, so I have the flexibility to accommodate additional check-ins or special needs when needed, including extended lunch breaks for pets who require extra attention. On weekends, we are home and able to provide extra companionship, backyard time, play, and relaxation. We understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s normal routine and creating a calm, comfortable environment where they feel safe, loved, and cared for while away from their family. We prioritize safety, comfort, and trust for every pet that stays in our home. We live in a 3-story townhome with a fully fenced backyard, providing a secure space for outdoor time, play, and fresh air. Our finished basement offers a dedicated pet area where pets can have their own quiet space to relax, decompress, or have separation when needed. We understand that every pet has different comfort levels and needs. If you would like your pet to have companionship during their stay, we can arrange a slow and supervised introduction with our pets to make sure everyone is comfortable. If your pet prefers their own space, we can keep pets completely separated for the entirety of their stay. Our own pets will have access to the upstairs third level of our home, allowing us to create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Our home already includes two small dogs and a cat, so we have experience managing pets with different personalities, routines, and boundaries.
“Justice is great! She is reliable, friendly, and sent thorough updates and pictures while checking in on Cooper. Everything went super smoothly and we'd be happy to work with her again!”

“This is our second time having Adriana take care of Caius and she has been so great. She always sends us pictures of him which makes us feel comfortable while we’re away. Caius is usually pretty reactive and needs some time warming up to people and it seems as though he really has with her. It speaks to how great she is with animals. Thanks Adriana! ❤️”

“Have booked Natalia twice so far and plan to rebook later this year! She is very communicative and kind, open to suggestions and truly cares for my cat :) so grateful for her as with my first booking my flight was canceled but Natalia was quick to propose additional drop in times! Thank you!!!”

“After having to have an emergency scheduling Stephanie was absolutely fantastic, she was quick to reply, communicative, respectful and very kind. She gave us constant updates on our cat Freyja along with photos. We would happily use her services again.”

“Ciara is amazing with my dogs. I've booked with her before and each time she leaves not only my dogs happy and comfy, but she's so receptive to making sure the house is neat also. She's very intuitive and listens well. A regular for my dogs!”

About: Having lived with, and cared for dogs for much of my life, you can expect that your pet will receive my full attention and devotion during the time that we work together—not just their basic health, safety and food/outdoor needs, but also the affection that keeps them feeling loved. I currently work from home-where we have a large backyard with endless fascinating smells—and I rarely leave client dogs unattended. My own Boston Terrier, Hutson, currently 8 years old, is a well socialized, solid companion who is very good with canine communication, and will give space to dogs who need and request it, or play with those who share his play style (I monitor very closely). He’s especially good with puppies. I am also very comfortable maintaining obedience protocols when needed, but also flexible and realistic about dogs' behavior. I have some experience with dogs' health needs. I have helped care for my mother's cocker spaniel, whose serious autoimmune condition has required the administration of daily oral medication, including immune system blockers and steroids. I've also cared for a four month-old Boston Terrier puppy who when we first met needed medication administered twice daily. Outside my interest in animals, I've run a summer program for high school students, and have significant and transferable experience handling emergency situations and working under pressure. I currently work from home, and I rarely leave client dogs unattended. We have a large backyard full of interesting smells and occasional visits from other animal friends, from squirrels to rabbits and opossums. I also love longer walks through nearby forest preserved if dogs are well suited to this. Having lived with, and cared for dogs for much of my life, you can expect that your pet will receive my full attention and devotion during the time that we work together—not just their basic health, safety and food/outdoor needs, but also the affection that keeps them feeling loved. I'm an advocate of positive training techniques, and try to provide mental stimulation. My own Boston Terrier, Hutson, currently six years old, is a well socialized, solid companion who is very good with canine communication, and will give space to dogs who need and request it, or play with those who share his play style (I monitor very closely).
“Our dog Luna loves Cheryl. We were impressed from the very first intro meeting how attentive Cheryl was to understanding our dogs patterns. Cheryl is lovely to work with and is so friendly. The updates we get after are so helpful.”

“Alonso was great and friendly! He came and met our pups before the drop-in to get acquainted with them and their routine. He was on the and sent photos to give us happy updates. We plan on continuing to have him help take care of our pups.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
