About: Ever since I was a kid, I’ve just really cherished being around animals, even the ones who aren’t super cuddly. I have a lot of patience and respect for each pet’s personality and comfort level, and I do my best to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their people are away. I work full time during the week and try to stay busy on the weekend, but I will absolutely work my weekend schedule around you/your pet’s needs. I have a big fenced backyard and plenty of space inside for house-trained pets to relax, whether that’s on the couch, a comfy chair, or the floor. I share my home with one dog, a terrier mix named Minnie. She’s playful and friendly, but if your dog prefers to keep to themselves, I can easily keep them separated. Older dogs sometimes find her a bit too energetic, while younger pups usually have a great time playing with her.

About: Working in the animal welfare field for a few years now has allowed me to obtain lots of skills other sitters may not obtain. Need to give your pet medication as you are gone? No problem for this experienced veterinary technician! Have an additional set of ease, for you know that your pet is with a sitter that has been trained in first aid, CPR, and even anesthesia! I know what to look for when your pet is staying outside of home. With time I have for my online college courses, I can have the best of both worlds. Sitting your pet while also furthering my education simultaneously. Your pet will truly enjoy my two sided fully fenced backyard! Lots of room to run around and chase a ball or chill on the patio if wanted. Fortunately, pets are allowed on my couch as well, allowing them to snuggle and have comfortablity in my home.

I became a dog owner for the first time in my mid-twenties. He was an elderly beagle mix with health issues. After he passed, I grieved until I was ready to own a dog again. Then I had ten wonderful years with Shadow, a husky mix who was a stray that made his way to a rescue. He bravely fought lymphoma for 1.5 years before succumbing to the disease. Through that time, I provided medication, took him for chemotherapy, and spoiled him until he decided it was time to cross the rainbow bridge. Shadow's absence still leaves a void in my heart that is filled by caring for other people's dogs. I love all types of dogs, and have experience with small to large, young and old, as well as dogs living with various health issues. Diane was wonderful. She stayed at my house 2 days for several hours to keep my dog company while my husband and I were at work. I met her the first day, and she sat on the floor to greet my dog and let him feel comfortable. By no means was that necessary, Atlas is a sweet boy who loves everyone, but the fact that she did that shows how passionate she is. She sent pictures and provided several updates while sitting. Even though I didn't spend the day with Diane, our 30min interaction was enough to know she is a great person, who loves animals, and will rake great care of your fur baby. I would highly recommend Diane, and she is my gp to sitter when my inlaws are unavailable.
Samuel is amazing!! He jumped in to help last minute when our original care plans for our pup fell through for a holiday weekend - and we could not be more grateful to have found him! He sent so many wonderful pictures and updates that made it easy for us to enjoy our time away, knowing our dog was being so well cared for! When we got home, everything was cleaner than how we left it and JoJo (who can be anxious) seemed calm and happy. We hope to work with Sam again and can’t recommend him more highly! We have worked with many people from Rover and working with Samuel is the best experience we’ve had so far.

Yolanda took wonderful care of Ollie while we were away. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated and helped us feel at ease. Ollie needed a little time to adjust the first night, and she was very patient and kind with him. It was clear he was well cared for, and he came home happy and relaxed. We’re very grateful for the care she gave him.
We had Cheryl watch our senior dog, who had only ever been left overnight with family before, so I was definitely a bit nervous. Cheryl was absolutely wonderful and put my mind at ease right away. She took such great care of our dog and kept us consistently updated, which meant so much to us. We could not be happier with the experience and will definitely be using Cheryl again in the future.
