About: My name is Lauren and currently reside in Elmhurst. I am looking for pet walking jobs (or jogging) or pet sitting jobs to help supplement my income, but I also genuinely just love being around dogs. My family has had pets my entire life and I have lots of experience walking and providing care for animals. Big dogs, little dogs, rabbits, cats and even guinea pigs. I have experience raising Guide Dogs through the New Zealand Blind Foundation as well as Leader Dogs for the Blind in Michigan. I was a volunteer at the Boulder Humane Society in Colorado in my undergraduate days so I am used to all breeds/types of dogs. About: Working in the animal welfare field for a few years now has allowed me to obtain lots of skills other sitters may not obtain. Need to give your pet medication as you are gone? No problem for this experienced veterinary technician! Have an additional set of ease, for you know that your pet is with a sitter that has been trained in first aid, CPR, and even anesthesia! I know what to look for when your pet is staying outside of home. With time I have for my online college courses, I can have the best of both worlds. Sitting your pet while also furthering my education simultaneously. Your pet will truly enjoy my two sided fully fenced backyard! Lots of room to run around and chase a ball or chill on the patio if wanted. Fortunately, pets are allowed on my couch as well, allowing them to snuggle and have comfortablity in my home.

About: Ever since I was a kid, I’ve just really cherished being around animals, even the ones who aren’t super cuddly. I have a lot of patience and respect for each pet’s personality and comfort level, and I do my best to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their people are away. I work full time during the week and try to stay busy on the weekend, but I will absolutely work my weekend schedule around you/your pet’s needs. I have a big fenced backyard and plenty of space inside for house-trained pets to relax, whether that’s on the couch, a comfy chair, or the floor. I share my home with one dog, a terrier mix named Minnie. She’s playful and friendly, but if your dog prefers to keep to themselves, I can easily keep them separated. Older dogs sometimes find her a bit too energetic, while younger pups usually have a great time playing with her.

“Stephanie was a joy to have taken care of my kitties. I asked for pictures to be sent from each feeding, as one of my cats is diabetic and needs insulin (and I can be a nervous mama around his health!) She sent lots of photos right on time and my cats warmed up to her right away. She was super communicative– asking questions and always responding right away. House was left nice and tidy, and she even offered to put new clean sheets back on the bed when stripping the ones off from her stay. I will definitely be calling Stephanie again!”
