“Absolutely amazing pet sitter! I had to book last minute and extend with an additional visit - she was super accommodating. Sent lots of updates, photos, and actually interacted with my cats. My babies loved her and will definitely re-book in the future. 🐾”

“Lexi is amazing! I was fortunate to find her in a last-minute situation, and she enthusiastically took on three drop-in visits with less than 24 hours’ notice. My timid rescue beagle warmed up to her immediately, she followed very specific instructions perfectly, and I will definitely be using her services again!”

About: I am very caring and compassionate for animals and pets. I have a cat of my own named Bruni and he is my best friend. Attentive and reliable pet care is assured with me as your pet sitter! I work as a teacher so my morning and afternoons are busy up until 3:30pm. However, I am available after those hours. I do have days off due to breaks, for example, winter break, where I can be reliable all day during those times. I have a cat of my own that I attend to 24/7. Therefore, I am very familiar with pets’ needs. I will assure you great communication and punctuality.

About: I have always lived with dogs and love pet sitting for others! I aspire to be a veterinarian in the future because of my passion for animals. I interned at a vet clinic this past summer and gained valuable knowledge about pets and how to care for them. I have a very flexible schedule since I am currently home from college for the summer. I am available most days with a notice in advance. I have a fenced in yard and one dog at home. I will be able to walk and play with your dogs, as well as feed them if needed.
“Kelsey did drop-in visits with our cat while we were out of town for a couple days, and we were very happy with the whole process, from the meet-and-greet to the “Rover Card” updates and photos she sent us. Kelsey is friendly and we felt comfortable having her in our house to check on our girl. If we need someone again we will definitely contact Kelsey!”

“From day one Jim proved to be incredible, professional, caring and attentive to our dog. He kept us updated with regular messages and pictures. What really impressed us is that our dog who tends to be aggressive at times, loved him! Thanks again for your outstanding service, Jim!”

About: I have raised 2 dogs since puppies until older age. I have experience with older dogs and puppies. Love them all. I have no pets at the moment so any pet I care for will receive lots of love. Love all pets I can provide care in the morning and afternoon. I am available for many services. I can walk pets, play with them, feed them, take them out, cuddle them, and give them love. I can also stay in your house or apartment with your pet. I give pets lots of love and attention. I can give pets lots of love, cuddle with them and give them treats, practice commands, or also just give them space and take them out for walks. I love dogs, I also like cats. Any pets are a joy
“Rebecca is an amazing sitter! She is attentive and thoughtful with my cat. I really appreciate the descriptions she leaves me after her visits. I never have any questions because she is so thorough!”

“Jessica made our first time using Rover a total breeze! She patiently talked me through scheduling the stay and explained how things would work. The questions she asked about our cats and their care in prep for the visits made me feel so comfortable that she knew what she was doing and that our fur babies would be in good hands while we were out of town, and her updates after each visit continued to keep our minds at ease during our trip. Thanks so much Jessica!”

About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.
“Olivia did a great job checking in on my kitty Ruby while we were gone. Very grateful for her flexibility & ability to manage Ruby’s difficult behavior in the wake of our absence. Thank you so much!!”

“We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!”

“I will never go to another sitter, ever! She takes care of my cat who is an absolute terror to people, and Ethel is bery kind to her. She goes above and beyond every time I have her!”

“After having to have an emergency scheduling Stephanie was absolutely fantastic, she was quick to reply, communicative, respectful and very kind. She gave us constant updates on our cat Freyja along with photos. We would happily use her services again.”

“Sam is top-notch, reliable & professional, we hired her to drop in our kitties twice a day to feed, provide company & check/clean litter boxes as needed. She provided lots of pics & updates, and our cats warmed up to her right away. Our first experience with this app/service was really positive thanks to Sam, we were able to enjoy our time away knowing our feline family were in good hands.”

“Angelina did a fantastic job looking after out ancient and fragile whippet. She looked after his special needs perfectly. When our schedule changed unexpectedly she accommodated the changes easily. I will definitely have Angelina look after him again when I need someone.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I was never allowed to have a dog growing up so I would help out my neighbors wherever i was living at the time when they were at work. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for a couple years and went through proper training on how to take care of and make both dogs and cats feel as comfortable as possible. I was finally able to convince my parents to let me have a dog and I have been the main caretaker of my golden doodle smudge for about three years now I have recently switched jobs so I have a lot more free time on my hands and am finally able to get started with Rover after wanting to job for years. This way I can take care of and love on all of the animals and I can take some of the responsibilities off of another animal parent because I know it can be hard sometimes. My dog gets two meals a day and a snack around lunch time. We go on a short morning walk and a longer evening walk after dinner. For overnight house sitting my goal is to make sure to follow the routines that clients already have in place for their pets as not to change their schedules. My boyfriend Cameron and I love taking care of the dogs and giving them a special staycation
“Max was very helpful when I booked him last minute. He was on time for all of his visits, took great photos of our elderly dog and was extremely gently and kind. He definitely has a special touch for animals!”

Zulema was amazing. This was the first time we’d used any services for our pets. She dropped in on our kitties while my family was out of town, made sure they were set on food and water and playtime. And sent us pics and communications each day. We met briefly when she stopped by to pick up the keys before we left and was very friendly and left us knowing our kitties would be in good hands without us having to worry about them at all. Thank you Zulema!

We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!

Tamara dropped in to check on our dog while we were out of town for a week. She came to our home twice a day and sometimes 3 to check on our dog. She was amazing and we felt our pet was well cared for while we were gone. Tamara sent us pictures and videos at every visit. We could tell how much she cared for our dog. I highly recommend her and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
