“Yat (Agnes) did a fantastic job looking after my senior cat while I was away. We met prior to the sitting visits. She made sure she had a clear understanding of everything she would need to do for my cat. Followed instructions perfectly, was consistently on time, and sent me plenty of pictures each time she visited. When we returned my cat was calm and relaxed. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Ann is great with my little senior guy. He can be a bit finicky with strangers but warmed up to her quickly. We are very grateful for her flexible schedule and great communication!”

About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.
“Sam was very kind and helpful! Gary warmed up to her right away. She was able to help us out last minute so we could spend time with family for the holidays! Thank you, Sam!”

“Olivia was amazing with my cat Charley. He was well taken care of! Loved the multiple pictures every visit, would definitely recommend her and use for future pet sitting needs!”

“I will never go to another sitter, ever! She takes care of my cat who is an absolute terror to people, and Ethel is bery kind to her. She goes above and beyond every time I have her!”

About: I have grown up around dogs since I was born. I have always loved caring for and interacting with dogs. I do not have my own dog currently, but would love to help care for others! I am currently substitute teaching at an elementary school, so there may be weekdays I am unavailable. I am currently not working full time, so I will be available to walk your dog(s) throughout the week! I am open to walking as far as needed for your pup. I have experience safely walking more energized dogs, so your dog will be in good hands! I have also walked up to 3 dogs at a time (various sizes) if you have more than one that needs to be walked a time.

“Amanda watched our cat for the first while we were gone for the holiday she did such a wonderful job with her. She played with her and followed all the directions perfectly! Amanda was so kind to bring our mail in as well and offered to take our garbage cans. We appreciate her making us feel comfortable leaving her alone. We will definitely be using her service again!”

“John was wonderful with our energetic boxer puppy! I highly recommend him. When we came home, she greeted us with excitement and love as usual. Then she ran around our house looking for her new friend, John!”

“Estefanía took awesome care of my kitty Moji! She was always on time to the drop-in, sent plenty of photos, and very quickly converted my shy scaredy cat to her usual sweet self. Thanks Estefanía!”

About: I grew up with animals and currently don’t have any of my own. I’m hoping to fill this gap by pet-sitting for others and taking care of your four-legged family members as my own! I am a full-time therapist at a private practice so my schedule is not typical. I primarily work late afternoons to evenings for short shifts so I am home during the day. I even have Mondays completely off. I will ensure that your pet is able to get their energy out early in the day, so by the evening they are ready to rest, relax, and be loved on. I have a large fenced in yard and already go on daily 1 mile walks, having a pet to join me would be great for myself and your pet’s energy!

“We had a great experience with Brandon. Very easy to communicate with, everything went as planned. Brandon is a reliable, seasoned caretaker with an obvious love for dogs. We will definitely hope to have Brandon take care of our dog again in the future!”

About: What is DOG spelled backwards? I believe dogs to be special beings who bring joy, companionship, and help us to feel more alive. I've helped raise and care for animals for 20 years. I've helped train all of our family dogs starting with Sunny, our Golden. Since then I have worked for two dog care providers, including my own business. I've trained dogs for both Emotional Support and Service. My dog Daisy was a Rainbows Therapy Certified, a Canine Good Citizen, and is my personal ESA. It is my belief that animals, especially dogs, have the unique ability to help us heal emotionally and physically. I recently closed my business, which is why I am back on Rover. If you need more recent reviews or references, I can send them upon request. As caregivers it is our responsibility to ensure not only physical health of our animal (s) and to foster their psychological well-being, as well. In addition to this business, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provide therapy for children and adults, as well as emotional support to animals using somatic experience and music therapy. I also volunteer for CACC, playing music for shelter dogs and cats. My schedule is wide open at the moment as I work from home doing virtual therapy. I will be able to provide constant care to your doggos and cats. I do not have a fenced-in yard There are three parks within 2 mi of my house that have fenced-in areas where it is safe for dogs.
“Phyllis and Greg were great. They responded right away to my request for a cat-sitter and arrived like clockwork at the appointed time every day. They took great care of our elderly cat and kept in touch throughout our time away. Highly recommend!”

About: I am a happy owner of 3 large dogs- goldendoodles and a labradoodle, along with a cat and a rabbit! I love animals and love being around them and playing with them. I used to co-own an in-your-home pet care business called Mollycoddles. I make trips daily to people's houses to take care of their pets while they're at work or on vacation. I have experience with dogs off all sizes, ages, and conditions. I took a break during 2025 to focus on a new career and just moved to the Darien area from Lisle- so I’m ready to meet some Darien/Willowbrook/DG pups and cats! I work from home most days and care for pets in the mornings or during your lunch breaks! Late night visits can also be arranged with repeat clients! During the summer. Hours can be flexible for visits, especially on weekends. All services will be done in your home- I will travel to you and your pup or cat and take care of them there! No worries of having to pack bags or overnight items. Potty breaks and walks are the best for working paw-rents!

“Julie went above and beyond for our fur babies. I’m so thankful to have found someone so reliable and dedicated. She did a great job with our dogs & went overtime with our little sneaky cat. She Is very caring & compassionate. A wonderful pet caretaker!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
