About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and currently help care for a French Bulldog, so I’m used to daily walks, feeding, and just keeping them happy and comfortable. I really enjoy being around dogs and getting to know their personalities. I’m patient, responsible, and will treat your dog like my own while you’re away. I am home full time so my schedule is pretty flexible, I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on what you need. I also can accept last minute availability! I can work around your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention, walks, and play time. I always try to make pets feel comfortable and at home, whether I’m in your space or mine. I pay attention to their behavior and needs so they feel safe and relaxed. I’ll stick to your routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, and anything specific your pet needs. I’m patient, gentle, and make sure they’re getting the care and attention they deserve.
“John was wonderful with both our dogs! He was on time, got to know them first, and won them over very quickly. Even our older dog who is very skittish took to John immediately for a walk this week. Would highly recommend!”

“Veronika is the best! I am home recovering from knee surgery and my dog is not thrilled about leaving me when she arrives. Veronika has done a great job coaxing her and getting her to walk!”

“Dolla was excited to see Angela the moment she saw her and I knew it would be a good fit for us. Angela is nice and has a pleasant demeanor and I will work with her again”

“Morgan and John were lifesavers taking our chompy little puppy for a nice long walk to burn some energy in the middle of the day when we had to return back to work full time. We’ll definitely be using them again!”

About: I am a happy owner of 3 large dogs- goldendoodles and a labradoodle, along with a cat and a rabbit! I love animals and love being around them and playing with them. I used to co-own an in-your-home pet care business called Mollycoddles. I make trips daily to people's houses to take care of their pets while they're at work or on vacation. I have experience with dogs off all sizes, ages, and conditions. I took a break during 2025 to focus on a new career and just moved to the Darien area from Lisle- so I’m ready to meet some Darien/Willowbrook/DG pups and cats! I work from home most days and care for pets in the mornings or during your lunch breaks! Late night visits can also be arranged with repeat clients! During the summer. Hours can be flexible for visits, especially on weekends. All services will be done in your home- I will travel to you and your pup or cat and take care of them there! No worries of having to pack bags or overnight items. Potty breaks and walks are the best for working paw-rents!
“Sam never fails to go above and beyond with her care. She gives long walks and even takes extra time to sit and give pets and love afterwards (and even checks food and water, how nice!) Our dogs absolutely adore her and she's always so helpful and gives us such peace of mind that our lil pups are in the best of hands. We honestly feel so lucky to have found such a reliable and trustworthy walker to keep our dogs happy while we're away!”

“Truly the best! Ken has been working with my high energy, rambunctious pitbull mix every week for walks. He is so patient with our baby, and treats him like family. He even spends a little extra time with Kida after his walks to play with him! From the first moment I met Ken, I could tell that he is very passionate with what he does and has a lot of experience working with all sorts of dogs. He is also great with communication and gives me pictures/videos/updates after each walk. Kida blessed to have a friend like Ken around!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with big dogs, so I’m very comfortable with large breeds, energetic personalities, and dogs that need structure, exercise, and attention. Back home, I regularly dog-sat for family, friends, and neighbors, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet’s unique quirks and routines. I’ve also lived with cats, so I understand their personalities too — from playful and social to independent and observant. I worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, which gave me valuable hands-on experience with animal handling, administering medications, and recognizing when something might be off. I currently volunteer at the Bloomington Animal Shelter and have experience as a wildlife rehabilitator, both of which have made me especially patient, attentive, and calm in all kinds of situations. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just a steady, reassuring presence, I’m happy to provide safe, reliable, and loving care! My availability is: • Monday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM • Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM • Sunday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM I currently do not have any pets in my home, which allows me to provide a calm, low-stress environment and give your pet my full attention. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and safe, with plenty of space for a crate if needed, as well as room for pets to comfortably explore and relax. I also have convenient access to multiple dog parks and safe walking areas, making it easy to provide exercise, enrichment, and outdoor time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of routines, instructions, and household preferences. I aim to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal schedule, whether that involves walks, feeding, playtime, medications, or simply providing companionship. My priority is always creating a safe, secure, and stress-free experience for both pets and owners.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I volunteered at humane society in high school (to take care of dogs and cats and as a walker). I started dog sitting in the past year and it works great with my schedule. I don’t currently have a dog, so it’s nice to see their smiling faces! I work from home so it is easy for me to drop by for a walk, to let your pets out, for meet and greets and to be here for drop offs and pick ups. I do live in a one bedroom (no roommates, family or pets of my own). There isn’t a yard which is part of the reason I haven’t gotten a dog but I live super close to a park or if the dog is more energetic and needs a run, I’ll take them to closer off baseball field to play fetch. When I dog sit at people’s houses, I follow whatever schedule they ask me to (in regards to when and what to feed the pets, how often to walk, if one is crated, etc). I usually meet them at their house a few days before they leave to go over where everything is and to meet their pets.

Phyllis met our dog and us to ensure it was a good fit. She provided consistent update and pictures showing Maggie was doing well. We would highly recommend Phyllis!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Willowbrook
Veronika came to the rescue on very short notice. She handled my very timid chihuahua mix without any difficulty. She arrived right on time, sent photos of each walk with my dog and demonstrated an understanding of my dog's needs with much warmth. I found her to be a trustworthy and capable. I would hire her again without hesitation.

Ana has always done an amazing job caring for my fur baby, Dakota. I’ve worked with her locally many times and was so excited to see her join Rover to continue growing her dog‑sitting career. Ana truly cares about the animals she works with and always takes the time to listen and understand what each pet needs. Dakota is not an easy dog to care for, between her cancer‑related medical needs and her reactive fear of other dogs and children, she can be complicated to leave in someone else’s care. Ana has always risen to these challenges and made us feel completely at ease trusting Dakota with her. This year, we went on a two‑week vacation to Italy, and Ana stayed in our home to care for Dakota the entire time. Not a single walk or medication was missed, and Dakota was loved and cared for as if she were Ana's own pet. I will always trust Ana with Dakota’s care and would confidently trust her with any pets we have in the future. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
