“Joey is fantastic and our greyhound Happy loves him! He helped me with just a few days' notice to walk our dog after I broke my ankle. Joey communicated very well with me, took Happy on a nice walk each day despite the cold temperatures, and even offered to help me with anything else. He genuinely cares for the pets and people he helps. I highly recommend hiring Joey. I will definitely be reaching out to him again.”

About: I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager. It started with neighbors and family friends and grew from there. I have experience with senior animals, reptiles, rabbits, deer, and medication and pets with special needs! I’m currently in clinicals at the Naval Hospital Tuesdays - Fridays until mid May. Rover allows me the flexibility to still take care of your furry loved ones during my down time from school! With in-home pet sitting, I like to make a visit prior to the scheduled service (although not required). This allows me to get a feel for the home and pet(s), and to sit down with owners and discuss needs and schedules for feeding, walking, etc.
About: I’ve raised two animals from 4 months old, so I understand the patience, consistency, and energy animals need. I’m experienced with basic commands, crate training, and potty training. I treat every pet like family and focus on building trust with both the animal and their owner. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or reinforcing good behavior, I bring calm, reliable care to every visit. I work a hybrid schedule, allowing me to provide consistent, reliable care throughout most of the week. I'm available during early mornings, lunch breaks, evenings, and weekends, so I can easily accommodate feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, or playtime. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine—I enjoy the companionship and love making time for it. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I stay consistent with feeding, walking, playing, and potty schedules, and always clean up after your pets. I respect your home as if it were my own, and I always make sure doors are secure and your pet gets plenty of love and attention while you're away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
