“Allison is awesome. She walks my dog, Binx 3-4 times a week while I’m at work, and she’s been absolutely wonderful. She’s also so pleasant and communicates extremely well. She is always incredibly accommodating whenever I need to adjust a walk time and is always understanding. My dog is always excited to see her, It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I highly recommend Allison 10/10”

“Shelby was so wonderful! Communication was fast and consistent. She always confirm when she arrived and if there was any packages. She took lots of pictures and made detailed notes about her walks. I’ll definitely become a regular as long as she’s available.”

About: I have experience taking care of my own personal cat and some experience with dogs as I had a dog from ages 10-20. I love both dogs and cats. Message me for availability as it changes every 3 weeks. I work full time but they are 12 hour shifts 3 days a week and rotate. I am able to do drop in visits/walks. I would treat the animals like they are my own. Animals give me a great deal of joy. I love learning new information about animals
“Heather did a great job walking and feeding Rex at the last minute. She was punctual, and checked with us to see if Rex needed anything. We will be using Heather more in the future.”

“John was great! Very reliable, came early the first time to meet a get a feel for Trixie’s behavior before her walk. Always on time and very personable. I would hire him again without hesitation. Thanks, John!”

“Anna walked our dog several times a week over 3 weeks in January while my spouse was out of town and I at work. She was always right on time and took great care of our little girl - putting her jacket on (frigid cold weather they both endured!), wiping her paws, giving her treats - and always ensured the house was secure when she left. I'm so happy that I have a go-to person we can count on! Thanks Anna!!”

“Caroline was responsive and flexible which I greatly appreciate! You could tell by the photos that my dogs felt very safe and comfortable with her. We will absolutely use her in the future!”

“Jessica walks our dog Nala regularly and does an excellent job! She’s very consistent and reliable. We’re so grateful for her help so Nala gets exercised while we’re at work all day. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

“Bob has done an amazing job with partnering with Hershey. Not only is Bob comfortable with a large dog, his effort with maintaining communication regarding scheduling has been great! Highly recommend!”

“Courtney is incredible! It is so easy to see that she is definitely a dog lover; she has been so great with our pup during her walks & with taking care of her afterwards. She checks in during the walk and updates us on how the day went. That, along with Ellie’s consistent excitement to see her gives me so much comfort that she is in good hands! Courtney now regularly walks our dog & hopefully will for a very long time!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
