“Simply the best! This is our first time leaving our Bruno with a dog sitter and Christina made it so comforting and easy for us. Great communication and her love of animals is evident by her care. 5+ 🐾”

“Ashley provided a relaxing environment for our Frenchie!! She provided useful feedback on how our pets reacted during their stay, and both dogs acclimated well to their visit there and then back home.”

“My mini poodle was with Fanny for two nights. Fanny took care of him very well and she sent pictures and videos every day. My dog was very happy with her and her own little dog. Highly recommended!”

“This family was wonderful with our Maizie!! She has never been away from us and they made it so comfortable for her. They definitely went above and beyond for her stay and we could not be more grateful!!”

“We were very happy with Diana and Brian. Diana sent many photos and videos so we could stay in touch with our pups. The pups seemed like they were having fun! We will definitely use them again. Thank you!”

“Wayne did an excellent job taking care of our dog, Charlie! He was great to work with, it was a very quick turnaround time from when I booked the stay until we dropped charlie off. Wayne made time for a quick meet and greet. He sent us pictures and videos daily so we could see how charlie was doing. Highly recommend him!”

“Enas was so kind! Brought my 2 boys, Ace and Bruno, over and they came back super tired! So I know their exercise needs were met! Her daughters are also very kind and seem very responsible as well! Enas also made sure to update me with pictures everyday! And let me know how everything went when I went to pick them up! Will definitely be rebooking for my next trip! Ace and Bruno were very well cared for!”
“Thank you so much for welcoming Woody in to your home over the weekend! It was our first time boarding him/his first time away from home since adoption and you made us feel so comfortable leaving him with you. We loved getting pictures and so appreciate all the love and care you showed him!”

“I’ve used so many Rovers and she is absolutely fantastic. Takes care of my pup as if she were my own, and has a way better back yard for them to run around in. Great about photo and video updates, too. Highly recommend.”

“Amy and her husband were great. It was a last minute booking, and they even watched Todd an extra day when my plans changed at the last minute and I wasn't going to be home on time.”

“Tyler and his wife took great care of Ernie. They sent lots of pictures keeping us updated on his stay. They gave him his medication and even kept him company when he was hiding from thunderstorms in their bathroom. We would definitely use them again!”

“I highly recommend Kim. From the meet and greet, we knew Leila, our 12 year old Havanese, will be happy and safe. Kim and her kids are pet lovers. The moment we parked our car, and as soon as her kids saw Leila, they hugged and played with her, so adorable. Kim would send photos every few hours, which I appreciate. Kim lives in a safe and quiet community in Darien, she also has a decent size backyard where Leila can play. Kim also texts me for any updates. Leila loves the attention! Thanks Kim :)”

“Sarah was great. She took very good care of my dog and cat and kept me updated with photos and recaps of their activities. She obviously loves animals and I felt my boys were very safe in her care--I recommend her highly.”

“Mercedes was amazing! She sent updates and pictures of my little Zeus and she let me know he was in good hands at all times. I will definitely be booking her again soon.”

“Shirley was a kind, welcoming, and communicative sitter for our elderly dog, Reggie. She sent us many photos and updates throughout his stay, which my family thoroughly appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Barbara was amazing with our little pup, Brucie. She is quick with communication, so caring, and you can tell that she really loves (and knows!) dogs. We got many pictures and updates throughout the day and Brucie always looked happy. Highly recommend. We will use Barbara again in the future.”

“Justine and Brett took excellent care of our Dexter while we were on vacation. He is high energy and got lots of exercise and attention while we were gone. Would definitely recommend them and be using them again!”

“Jeana and her family treated our Lola girl like THEIR FAMILY!!! The care that Jeana took with my precious Lola was so evident from the start. Every day we got pictures or videos that showed us that Lola was so happy and content to be cared for by her. When Lola had a little trouble the first couple of nights sleep, Jeana went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. The care taken was better than when Lola stayed with my own extended family. We felt so blessed to be able to fully enjoy our trip knowing our fur baby couldn't be in better hands. THANK YOU JEANA!!!”

“My 13 month old Cavalier, Bentley loved staying with Kimberly and her family so much, he did not want to come home with me. He made a friend while there, a Corgy. I received many pictures during the day showing me what Bentley was doing. Kimberly provided extra care, cleaning and bathing ( Bentley pees on his feathers). He also slept in the bed. Daily walks, running around in the fenced-in-back yard “playing hard and sleeping hard” per Kimberly. I will definitely have Kimberly sit again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lemont
Sayju was an amazing dog sitter! They took excellent care of our dog and made sure all of their needs were met. We appreciated the regular updates, photos, and the genuine care and attention they provided. It was clear that our dog felt comfortable, happy, and loved while we were away. Sayju was reliable, professional, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire experience. We would gladly trust Sayju with our dog again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.

Amy and Scott took such good care of Ruby while we were gone. She had access to the house, the couch and the big back yard, which is everything she gets at home. Amy went above and beyond to communicate with me about Ruby’s well being, sending pictures and describing her activities and her relationship with her dog. Whenever we need a sitter, we’ll be contacting Amy first.

Laina and Bill did a wonderful job watching our dog for the weekend. From the moment we had the in-home meet & greet, our dog seemed so comfortable in a “make himself at home” sort of way. We re dived many photo updates along the way, which were very appreciated. Even other “good” sitters in the past did not keep the steady stream of updates coming. There wasn’t even a moment of worry or eondering how he’s doing. I would definitely put them at the top of our list for for future boardings.

Highly recommend Ally! Ally was absolutely fantastic with our 5 year old golden retriever, Saylor. This was Saylor's first time staying at a home that was not his - our concerns were quickly addressed by Ally. After Saylor's 1st night Ally contacted us, sent pictures and let us know how it went - we were very relieved! Ally communicated with us regularly and sent multiple pictures. Ally is a very friendly, caring and responsive person. We felt very comfortable with Ally and knew that Saylor was well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely use Ally again!

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
