About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years, and my 15-year-old Pomeranian is a very special part of our family. He has been with us for so long that I honestly can’t imagine our home without him. I’m also a mom of three, so we have a busy but loving family home where pets are very much part of everyday life. My kids love dogs, and we’re used to having a furry member of the family around. Having a senior dog has taught me to be patient and pay attention to the little things. I know that older dogs sometimes need a little more rest, more frequent potty breaks, and extra care and attention. We also travel to Egypt and Serbia every year, and my Pomeranian has flown overseas with me many times. I know how much work it can be to travel with a dog, and I also know how hard it is to leave them behind. That’s actually one of the reasons I decided to offer boarding. I’ve had to leave my own dog with people I trusted, and even then, I knew he acted differently because I wasn’t there. I remember wondering if he was okay, if he was comfortable, and if someone was giving him the same attention I would. So when your dog stays with me, I want you to feel comfortable too. I’ll get to know your dog’s routine, personality, feeding schedule and what makes them happy and comfortable. I’ll keep you updated with pictures so you don’t have to wonder how they’re doing. We have a fenced backyard, and I’ll take dogs for daily walks on the beautiful 2-mile path around Stellwagen Farm, which is only a few minutes from our home. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone. To me, they’re not just a booking or another dog staying at my house. They’re someone’s family — just like my Pomeranian is part of mine. I’m a stay-at-home mom and am available pretty much all the time, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I provide a safe, loving home with a fenced backyard,and a finished basement. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m available most of the time and can give your dog lots of attention throughout the day. I also have a senior Pomeranian, so I understand the importance of patience and making sure every dog feels comfortable.

About: I've been a responsible dog owner the past decade and have cared for dogs collectively for 15 years total. I am highly observant of their behaviors, needs, health and different ways of communicating. I'm also a great communicator when it comes to responsiveness, sending daily photos and answering any questions. As a bonus, if you are flying out of town, we can provide a free parking space at our home and most likely drop you off and pick you up at either airport for a nominal additional fee to cover gas ($10 Midway, $20 O'Hare) to save you money on a ride share or taxi rate. I work from home and my wife is typically home from her job as a physician at a nearby hospital before 5 pm. I typically walk our two dogs once a day + let them play in our 1000 sqft fenced in dog run. We have two incredibly friendly dogs and two playful cats to keep yours company too. We have crates on each level of our home and can even keep your dog isolated (if you want) in a separate room with closed door, while still receiving exercise, attention and proper care.

“Barbara was awesome! Unfortunately I booked with a different sitter who subsequently stated she could not watch my dog (Bailey) less than 24 hours after I dropped her off. The sitter stated Bailey was barking frantically and subsequently cancelled shortly before I was supposed to board my international flight with my family early the following morning. For Bailey to be barking frantically is unlike Bailey. Rover subsequently reached out to several sitters on my behalf while I was on my flight and described Bailey as having “separation anxiety” because of what the other sitter stated and “needing plenty of attention and play time”. Unlike to how Bailey was described, Bailey doesn’t bark much and has a calm temperament. My whole flight my family and I were wondering what would happen with Bailey in reference to how she was being described and if she’d be in good hands. Barbara fortunately volunteered for the job and her and I texted briefly while still on my flight because she wanted to know more about Bailey. I advised her that the manner in which the other sitter was describing Bailey was out of character. Barbara subsequently volunteered to pickup Bailey from the other sitter. Once Barbara was with Bailey she sent me a picture and reassured me Bailey was in good hands. Barbara would routinely send me pictures on updates of Bailey throughout the days we were gone. Additionally, Barbara gave Bailey her medicine twice daily for her ear infection. Barbara was great and I would recommend her services.”

“I recently left my dog Chloe in the care of Sarai M., and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Sarai did a wonderful job making sure Chloe was walked, fed, and comfortable the entire time. The best way I can tell when Chloe is truly happy and cared for is by how she greets me when I pick her up. At places she doesn’t enjoy, she jumps all over me as if begging to leave. But with Sarai, Chloe was calm and relaxed, not anxious to go. It’s the same way she reacts with the groomer and veterinarian she loves she’s content when I drop her off and not desperate to cling to me. That tells me everything I need to know: Chloe felt safe, loved, and well taken care of. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind Sarai gave me and will definitely be bringing Chloe back.
