“She is absolutely amazing! She follows instructions perfectly, communicates quickly and clearly, and always prioritizes safety. I really appreciate how she reinforces our dog’s training and handles dogs with so much care and confidence. We trust her completely and feel very lucky to have found her. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart for other sitters is that I have them enjoy their walks at their own pace. In my years of experience, I have not only taken care of dogs but also cats just to name a few. Every animal is unique in their own way so being kind goes a long way. I like to have the owners as well as the dogs comfortable with me so I obtain as much information from the owners regarding their furry friends as I can. I am currently free to play, drop-in or bring your furry baby home with me. Whatever your pets needs are, I am here to help. I have a big backyard where I normally allow the dogs to run and play. But it does not have a fence in one area where the driveway begins. My home has two floors which the downstairs I use for the dogs to lay down, play or sleep. I do own a dog myself but she isn't allowed to interact with guests dogs unless previously approved by the guests parents first. I also have cameras, where I can capture video and photos to send to the pet parents.

“Jennifer was a lifesaver for us in walking our pup while we were out of town. She was very flexible and accommodating and did a great job communicating updates throughout walks. Definitely recommend and will book again!”

“June can be nervous initially but warmed up to Patrycja quickly! I can tell June enjoyed her walks by the pictures and updates sent! Patrycja really went above and beyond to make sure June was comfortable! We both appreciated the help today! Thank you!”

About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.
“Melanie is great! Very professional and always keeps me informed of when she arrives, and of their walk. My dog always looks forward to her arrival and walk :) i would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, especially dogs, and finally welcomed my own pup, Leia, into my life five years ago. Since then, I’ve handled all of her training, walks, feeding schedule, etc., myself. I learned a lot from years of watching "It’s Me or the Dog," and put what I've learned into practice with my dog, Leia. What sets me apart is my mix of genuine love for dogs, hands‑on training experience, and a calm, reliable presence. I’m excited to meet your pup and give them a walk they’ll remember; one that’s safe, stimulating, and tailored to their personality. I am a college student at DePaul University, majoring in Finance and Criminology. I commute on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free to walk your furry friend any day that isn't Tuesday or Thursday :) I have one energetic five-year-old Wheaton terrier whom I have trained by myself. I walk her at least once a day, feed her, play with her, and train her when time allows. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your established rules and routines to ensure your dog feels comfortable and stress‑free. I pay close attention to safety — from securely leashing during walks to double‑checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions. My goal is to treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: Dogs have been a great interest of mine since i was born! I currently have one dog who is a creature of habit and has a strict schedule she sticks to! I’ve always known when something is up with her, like if her belly hurts or if she wants to go outside. I’ve been taking care of dogs for my whole life; my neighbors dogs, my sisters dog and even fostering. I have great behavior awareness, i act calm under pressure, i care for all types of animals and I’m responsible. Pet care is something i take very seriously. I’m currently in school perusing the medical field, so i plan my week around bookings, my part time job and homework. I make sure to prioritize each pet and their needs. I’m currently available to do any day of the week at any time besides T/W/Th before noon due to school. I also may be busy with my part time job so just shoot me a text message and i’ll let you know if i’m available the week you need someone! As safety and trust are my top priorities, i stick to schedules and routine while keeping a safe, secure environment. I’m attentive to their behavior and i’m able to handle different temperaments. My schooling teaches quick and calm thinking, so should anything unexpected happen, you can expect communication and responsibility from me! My ultimate goal is for your pet to feel safe and for you to feel confident!

About: 𐂯 Meet & Greets ฅ ฅ Detailed updates with photos/videos ᵔᴥᵔ Puppies, senior pets, anxious dogs & medications I've had pets my entire life and currently have two huskies who are a big part of my life. I've also cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors, and I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I spent time with dogs of different ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I know how stressful it can be to find someone you feel comfortable leaving your pet with. I’ll make each experience as easy and reassuring as possible. My goal is to eventually work with animals full-time, and Rover gives me the opportunity to do more of what I love while helping people in my community. I enjoy figuring out what makes each pet feel comfortable and loved! Adjusting to them instead of expecting them to adjust to me. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing outside, sticking to their usual routine, or simply having someone nearby, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them most comfortable and gives you peace of mind. You'll receive regular updates and photos throughout each visit so you always know how your pet is doing. I just not really due to me Dogs specially when it comes to my health , I apologize.thank you so everyone I can always try
About: I have taken a dog behavior training at a local shelter. I have dog sat for family members for multiple days (in house and my home ) Unfortunately I work during the week. I am free Saturday and Sunday to pet sit or just to give your fur baby some love and attention for a couple hours while you’re away. I do not have pets of my own due to housing circumstances. While in a client’s home I ensure that all potentially dangerous items are out of reach and secure from the pets. I give pets their space when showing signs of distress. As well as make sure they have their favorite comfort items.
About: I’ve taken care of my pet dog Bruno since he was a puppy, me and my family adopted him back in 2023 and now he’s turning 3 in May this year. I’m usually free throughout the week and I will always have plenty of time to care for them and for any of their needs! I will always make sure to speak with their owner first if they have any special needs and ask if there are certain instructions written down that will need to be followed regarding of their pets.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I was never allowed to have a dog growing up so I would help out my neighbors wherever i was living at the time when they were at work. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for a couple years and went through proper training on how to take care of and make both dogs and cats feel as comfortable as possible. I was finally able to convince my parents to let me have a dog and I have been the main caretaker of my golden doodle smudge for about three years now I have recently switched jobs so I have a lot more free time on my hands and am finally able to get started with Rover after wanting to job for years. This way I can take care of and love on all of the animals and I can take some of the responsibilities off of another animal parent because I know it can be hard sometimes. My dog gets two meals a day and a snack around lunch time. We go on a short morning walk and a longer evening walk after dinner. For overnight house sitting my goal is to make sure to follow the routines that clients already have in place for their pets as not to change their schedules. My boyfriend Cameron and I love taking care of the dogs and giving them a special staycation

About: Available on some weekdays and weekends, will incorporate lots of exercise and playtime, have years of experience with caring for dogs, like my dog Benji. I don’t prefer to do house-boarding just because my current family dog isn’t dog-friendly with others. Because I grew up without a dog and have always wanted one, I was hoping to fulfill that gap with caring for other dogs. I am responsible enough to ensure everything will go smoothly, and have a calm demeanor in case of emergencies. Having always been a dog lover, I can provide you with the service of being rest assured that the relationship between your dog and me will be a reciprocal and enjoyable one! No guarantees of feelings not becoming attached however! If you are looking for an involved, energetic playmate for your dog or simply a caretaker, I can be of generous service to you and your dog.
About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I am currently working full time so my time currently is limited. I am available Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays. All day Saturdays and Sundays Be patient and calm with pets that are withdrawn or scared. Pets are sensitive to change and may be missing their people; maintain their schedule as much as possible. When the pet is feeling comfortable, send pictures to the client, letting them know you're giving them extra attention.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
