About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, especially dogs, and finally welcomed my own pup, Leia, into my life five years ago. Since then, I’ve handled all of her training, walks, feeding schedule, etc., myself. I learned a lot from years of watching "It’s Me or the Dog," and put what I've learned into practice with my dog, Leia. What sets me apart is my mix of genuine love for dogs, hands‑on training experience, and a calm, reliable presence. I’m excited to meet your pup and give them a walk they’ll remember; one that’s safe, stimulating, and tailored to their personality. I am a college student at DePaul University, majoring in Finance and Criminology. I commute on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free to walk your furry friend any day that isn't Tuesday or Thursday :) I have one energetic five-year-old Wheaton terrier whom I have trained by myself. I walk her at least once a day, feed her, play with her, and train her when time allows. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your established rules and routines to ensure your dog feels comfortable and stress‑free. I pay close attention to safety — from securely leashing during walks to double‑checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions. My goal is to treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: Available on some weekdays and weekends, will incorporate lots of exercise and playtime, have years of experience with caring for dogs, like my dog Benji. I don’t prefer to do house-boarding just because my current family dog isn’t dog-friendly with others. Because I grew up without a dog and have always wanted one, I was hoping to fulfill that gap with caring for other dogs. I am responsible enough to ensure everything will go smoothly, and have a calm demeanor in case of emergencies. Having always been a dog lover, I can provide you with the service of being rest assured that the relationship between your dog and me will be a reciprocal and enjoyable one! About: Hi, I’m Samantha! I’ve had all types of pets my whole life and enjoy taking care of animals big or small. I’m a Veterinary Assistant with knowledge on animal temperaments and proper care. I've worked with animals with diverse medical conditions, including my own pets. About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. I can pop in and check on your babies any time during the day. I would need to know in advance only cause I do eventually sleep during the day. I’m aware you are trusting me with one of the most important members of your family, I’ll be happy to leave a photo and an update of any changes , good or bad, so you can enjoy some peace of mind that everything is alright.

About: I’m sure all sitters say this but I genuinely have a seat for being with animals. Sometimes I prefer them over people and treat them like they’re my own. I love all of their personalities and quirks. Anywhere I go I ask to pet someone’s dog and respect what the dog’s body language is telling me. I have a Siberian husky so I have had to learn how to read body language and potential environmental stressors very well. I invest a generous amount of time into learning about dog breeds and am always opening to learning more! Currently, I am home for the holidays with plenty of time to care for your pets while you’re away! I have access to a car and am eager to work. Extensive experience with dogs, slightly less with cats but always open to caring! I love giving them constant stimulation and walks. Pets and treats are always given. About: I’ve lived around animals since I was a little girl and have owned a diverse range of pets myself. I grew up caring for my Hungarian Vizsla into college as well, even while he got sick and eventually had to be put down. I have experience owning rabbits, gerbils, dogs, cats. I live with two sweet cats now with my boyfriend and his mother, I’m home most of the time taking care of them. I love animals and have always felt more comfortable with them than humans sometimes. I believe every pet should be taken care of with compassion and a watchful eye. I understand animal body language and always respect what the animal needs or wants for their own sake and for my safety. I’d be honored to help any family with their furry babies! Since I am a university student online my schedule is very open and flexible. I expect most pet sitting jobs to require seeing the animals at least 3 times a day, every day needed. I am looking for another part time job but would allow me to leave work in cases where animals need care in the afternoon as well. Our cats are kept inside most of the time but we do have a yard with a fence that allows them to be outside supervised. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.

About: UPDATE JULY 2024, PLEASE READ: If you see that my reply time is incredibly slow, it's because my account was inactive for a while due to my dad being hospitalized. I had to help care for him for a long period of time and I was unable to reply to any messages on Rover. My dad is okay now and I am available for walks and sitting again. I was a dog groomer for almost 2 years. I'm well-trained in animal safety. I care deeply about all animals, so I'll form a bond with your animals. I'm currently unemployed, so I'll have loads of time to provide love for your animals of any kind! Just let me know what you need/what you're looking for! I understand the basics of taking care of dogs, cats and other animals just like most pet sitters. But I also provide what some sitters don't: love! I'm very sweet and I can give your animals great love and care. Plus, I'll provide some pretty amazing photos of them. If anything out of the ordinary does happen, I will do my best to help and I will contact you immediately.

About: I’ve taken care of my pet dog Bruno since he was a puppy, me and my family adopted him back in 2023 and now he’s turning 3 in May this year. I’m usually free throughout the week and I will always have plenty of time to care for them and for any of their needs! I will always make sure to speak with their owner first if they have any special needs and ask if there are certain instructions written down that will need to be followed regarding of their pets.
