About: I believe pets deserve to feel safe, loved, and completely at home while you’re away. I am a dependable, caring, and patient person and i genuinely love spending time with animals-especially dogs. I treat every pet in my care like my own. As a licensed xray technician and extensive healthcare background, you can rest assure that your pet will always be in good hands. I pay attention to the little things that make each pet comfortable; from keeping their normal routine to giving them plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and one-on-one attention. My home is a quiet, non-smoking house with a fully fenced yard, and because I have no pets of my own, your dog gets my undivided attention. Whether your pup is playful, energetic, shy, older, or simply loves a good belly rub, I’ll take the time to get to know them and make them feel comfortable. Most importantly, I want you to enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is safe, happy, and being genuinely loved. 🐶❤️ Because I am an empty nester and pet sitting is my full-time focus, your fur baby will have my absolute, undivided attention. My schedule is exceptionally flexible and open, meaning my entire daily and weekly routine revolves completely around the pets in my care, allowing me to maintain your pet's exact feeding, bathroom, and medication schedules without interruption. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, midday companionship, or an extra-long afternoon walk, I will be there to provide it. Pets will be under my constant supervision and are never left unattended. I have a spacious backyard with grassy areas for potty breaks, playtime, or just to relax in fresh air- all surrounded by a privacy fence with secure locks at all points of entry. This is a non-smoking home. No candles or harmful cleaning chemicals are EVER used when pets are in my care and I always make sure their food/water stays clean and fresh. Pets are always safely leashed for neighborhood walks. Also, your dogs will have access to my entire home, including a fully finished basement which provides plenty of extra space and new scenery. If I am visiting the pet-owners home, I promise to treat your home with the utmost respect. I will double-check that all doors are securely locked every time I exit your property and all other guidelines given are followed. I always provide regular photo, video, and text updates throughout the day, so you always know exactly how your baby is doing. Ultimately, I care for every pet with the same deep love that I gave my own best buddy. Miss ya, bestie ❤️🩹 (Cujo 🪽2016 ~ 2026)
About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. I can pop in and check on your babies any time during the day. I would need to know in advance only cause I do eventually sleep during the day. I’m aware you are trusting me with one of the most important members of your family, I’ll be happy to leave a photo and an update of any changes , good or bad, so you can enjoy some peace of mind that everything is alright.
“Gionna was great! From the first message I sent to inquire through the last message after her last walk with Roxy! Her communication was spot on and her care for Roxy was very assuring. She came for a meet and greet since she was Roxy’s first walker. They hit it off and had great walks while I was gone making me more relaxed and less worried to enjoy my weekend away. Thank you Gionna, we can’t wait to work with you again!”

“I recently adopted a rescue who is having a hard time adjusting to new people. Kathryn did a great job with him! Despite him growling at her she was patient with him and helped him calm down so she could walk him. She was reliable and understanding. I then asked her if she could come again last minute and without hesitation she agreed! I would definitely work with Kathryn again!”

“Jennifer was a lifesaver for us in walking our pup while we were out of town. She was very flexible and accommodating and did a great job communicating updates throughout walks. Definitely recommend and will book again!”

About: Dogs have been a great interest of mine since i was born! I currently have one dog who is a creature of habit and has a strict schedule she sticks to! I’ve always known when something is up with her, like if her belly hurts or if she wants to go outside. I’ve been taking care of dogs for my whole life; my neighbors dogs, my sisters dog and even fostering. I have great behavior awareness, i act calm under pressure, i care for all types of animals and I’m responsible. Pet care is something i take very seriously. I’m currently in school perusing the medical field, so i plan my week around bookings, my part time job and homework. I make sure to prioritize each pet and their needs. I’m currently available to do any day of the week at any time besides T/W/Th before noon due to school. I also may be busy with my part time job so just shoot me a text message and i’ll let you know if i’m available the week you need someone! As safety and trust are my top priorities, i stick to schedules and routine while keeping a safe, secure environment. I’m attentive to their behavior and i’m able to handle different temperaments. My schooling teaches quick and calm thinking, so should anything unexpected happen, you can expect communication and responsibility from me! My ultimate goal is for your pet to feel safe and for you to feel confident!
“Amanda is awesome with our dog Leyla! This was our first time using Rover and it could not have been a better match. She is nearby, flexible and takes the extra time and effort to ensure our puppy gets in some good, quality, fun exorcise for the day. She is very experienced with animals of all kinds and makes me feel confident that my pup is in good hands. Highly recommended!”
About: I’m sure all sitters say this but I genuinely have a seat for being with animals. Sometimes I prefer them over people and treat them like they’re my own. I love all of their personalities and quirks. Anywhere I go I ask to pet someone’s dog and respect what the dog’s body language is telling me. I have a Siberian husky so I have had to learn how to read body language and potential environmental stressors very well. I invest a generous amount of time into learning about dog breeds and am always opening to learning more! Currently, I am home for the holidays with plenty of time to care for your pets while you’re away! I have access to a car and am eager to work. Extensive experience with dogs, slightly less with cats but always open to caring! I love giving them constant stimulation and walks. Pets and treats are always given. I treat all dogs like they’re my own. I have an eye on them almost at all times.

About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. I also have pet care insurance with animal baliee coverage in case of emergencies. I always care for every animal as if they are my own and I understand how important it is for them to feel comfortable and loved. I work part-time on the night shift, so I'm usually out of the house between 9:30pm and 2am Monday through Friday. Outside of that- my schedule is flexible. I am available on most weekends and holidays. I only book one client at a time for pet sits and boarding, so your pet(s) will have my full attention. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a huge, unfenced yard. I own a variety of animal care supplies and equipment.
“Tamara is amazing. Our dog Luna loves her walks with her. We know she is in good hands. I would recommend Tamara to anyone that has a dog and wants to know your baby is taking care of.”

About: 𐂯 Meet & Greets ฅ ฅ Detailed updates with photos/videos ᵔᴥᵔ Puppies, senior pets, anxious dogs & medications I've had pets my entire life and currently have two huskies who are a big part of my life. I've also cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors, and I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I spent time with dogs of different ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I know how stressful it can be to find someone you feel comfortable leaving your pet with. I’ll make each experience as easy and reassuring as possible. My goal is to eventually work with animals full-time, and Rover gives me the opportunity to do more of what I love while helping people in my community. I enjoy figuring out what makes each pet feel comfortable and loved! Adjusting to them instead of expecting them to adjust to me. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing outside, sticking to their usual routine, or simply having someone nearby, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them most comfortable and gives you peace of mind. About: Available on some weekdays and weekends, will incorporate lots of exercise and playtime, have years of experience with caring for dogs, like my dog Benji. I don’t prefer to do house-boarding just because my current family dog isn’t dog-friendly with others. Because I grew up without a dog and have always wanted one, I was hoping to fulfill that gap with caring for other dogs. I am responsible enough to ensure everything will go smoothly, and have a calm demeanor in case of emergencies. Having always been a dog lover, I can provide you with the service of being rest assured that the relationship between your dog and me will be a reciprocal and enjoyable one! No guarantees of feelings not becoming attached however! If you are looking for an involved, energetic playmate for your dog or simply a caretaker, I can be of generous service to you and your dog.

About: My purr-found love for cats has only grown over the years. Despite coming from a dog-preferred family—cats are my vibe! Thankfully, fate brought my quirky calico feline, Pia; a cat who magically gets along & plays with other cats & dogs. For nearly 3 years, I’ve worked as a purr-fessional cat sitter—accepting kittens, adult & senior cats ONLY after having a phone conversation with the owner. Essentially you need to pick the right caregiver for your animals, and I understand that I may or not be that for you. I reserve the right to deny service at my discretion, but I am very flexible with time and schedules. Tell me more about your cat(s)'s eating, sleeping, and playing habits to ensure I follow their natural schedule, as much as paw-sible! I aim to minimize any claw-ful feelings in my kitty clients. Thank you for reading & I look forward to hearing from you soon! :) Bachelors of Science 🧬 Certification: Basic Life Support 🩹 ⛑ Reiki Level 2 Practitioner: 🧘🏾 I am able to schedule visits around my claw-ients needs. Upon arrival, I get to business and perform the kitty chores first so that the end of the visit is filled with paw-some fun! At this time I am only cat sitting at my claw-ients house to ensure minimal disruption to the kitties. I give my fur-iends time to warm up to me & approach them on their terms.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
