About: I love dogs. I have had one Doberman, one mutt who was the best, and two English Mastiffs. I had a dog everyday of my life until five years ago when my 200 pound English Mastiff named Max died. It broke my heart and hasn't felt right to replace him. But I love dogs and cherish watching the relationship people have with their dogs. I say hi to every pooch on the street that I pass. Rest assured, your dog will be treated with the utmost friendliness and care imaginable. I work from home so your dog will always have a friendly companion around. A side note. No Pit Bulls, No Rottweilers, No Stafford Terriers, No Husky of any sort, and No Doodles of any sort. I'm sure if any of these five dogs are part of your family that you are a wonderful person and so is your dog. However, they are far from my cup of tea. I work from home. About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. I can pop in and check on your babies any time during the day. I would need to know in advance only cause I do eventually sleep during the day. I’m aware you are trusting me with one of the most important members of your family, I’ll be happy to leave a photo and an update of any changes , good or bad, so you can enjoy some peace of mind that everything is alright.

About: Hi! I'm looking for new wonderful pets to walk and take care of! I have taken in four rescues, all with different special physical and behavioral needs. I currently have two Pitbull mixes, one Lab mix, and a multiple tropical aquariums! Caring for animals has been a passion of mine since I was young. A favorite activity of mine is taking my dogs to local forest preserves where they can play and exert their energy. I can administer eye drops, pills, and ointments to pets as my own have different medications that they need on a regular basis. I have also taken classes in care for companion animals. Special needs animals have a forever place in my heart because I believe that every pup or cat deserves to enjoy life to the fullest! Whether that is hiking at a trail, swimming in a lake, or curling up on the couch- I'd love to help them do that! Currently very open for scheduling. Stays for over a week will have to be discussed as I do have to ensure time to take care of my own animals. I do not host animals in my own home, but I am adaptable to a variety of routines and activities you and your pet would enjoy.

About: I’ve lived around animals since I was a little girl and have owned a diverse range of pets myself. I grew up caring for my Hungarian Vizsla into college as well, even while he got sick and eventually had to be put down. I have experience owning rabbits, gerbils, dogs, cats. I live with two sweet cats now with my boyfriend and his mother, I’m home most of the time taking care of them. I love animals and have always felt more comfortable with them than humans sometimes. I believe every pet should be taken care of with compassion and a watchful eye. I understand animal body language and always respect what the animal needs or wants for their own sake and for my safety. I’d be honored to help any family with their furry babies! Since I am a university student online my schedule is very open and flexible. I expect most pet sitting jobs to require seeing the animals at least 3 times a day, every day needed. I am looking for another part time job but would allow me to leave work in cases where animals need care in the afternoon as well. Our cats are kept inside most of the time but we do have a yard with a fence that allows them to be outside supervised. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.
