About: I've owned and cared for all kinds of animals my whole life. Professionally, I have experience working as a dog handler, kennel attendant, dog bather, and groomer. I also have extensive experience working and caring for cats, horses, and various small animals. My +3 years working at a dog daycare facility had me safely handling a pack of up to 25 dogs; providing exercise & engagement, soft corrections, and positive reinforcement. To do so, it was necessary to be observant and in tune with the dog's behavior and always on the lookout for any signs of stress or aggression. As a bather and groomer, I was focused on hygiene but a large aspect of the job relied on my knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques. I've owned cats my entire life and have worked with a TNR rescue the past few years getting pregnant females and unneutered male cats fixed and adopted. About: The dog in my pictures was Winnie. She was my first dog and was a rescue from Tuscaloosa while I was finishing up my last year at The University of Alabama. Although she was more of a couch potato, she was a great learning experience for how to handle shelter dogs and dogs in general. We had another dog and a cat as well in the house with never any issues….even whenever Alabama lost believe it or not. I prefer the later afternoon and night shifts due to the fact I work in an office every day. Weekends and holidays I am free all day. I prefer to use the client's yard or take them to a park. My yard is only size appropriate for smaller dogs but still fenced in if your dog is not very active.
About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. About: I’ve had a dog in our lives for the past 12 years who passed away a couple months ago. We rescued 3 kittens in 2021. Jack is our oldest cat and he is quite a character. Luz is our middle cat and she is the sweetest little thing to look at/she loves to talk. Baby is our not so little baby and is such a friendly loving cat. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home.
